Iceland, Norway Travel Review: Reykjavik, Hallgrimskirkja, Bergen, Flam, Balestrand, Ring Road, Troll Tour, Cider Tasting, 12 Nights

We loved the troll tour of the Ring Road. Our guide was great. It was very active, with some hilly climbs, which were challenging. Most of the tour hotels were good, but there were limited food choices in some locations, especially for vegetarians.

Our hotel in Reykjavík was fun and we enjoyed the restaurant there. The hotel was a bit noisy at night. We found and recommend a local café across from the Hallgrímskirkja as well.

In Norway, we loved our rooms in Bergen, looking out on the water. Our driver there was very nice. We enjoyed the train to Flåm, but wished we’d had two nights in our hotel in Balestrand, as it was exceptional. Food was included and very nice. We might have enjoyed a day tour with a local guide if we’d had more time. The ferries worked well.

Thank you!

Iceland Travel Review: Scenery, 9-Day Trip

Zicasso's travel designer and the tour operator set up a great schedule. I was actually very surprised by how well the activities were balanced throughout the day. I never ran out of things to do and only had to skip a few locations on one day, most likely my fault for enjoying the places for too long at the beginning of the day. I would highly recommend the tour operator for setting up a great schedule for your visit to Iceland and booking all the necessities (e.g. car, hotel rooms, etc.).

They were also very helpful leading up to the trip to accommodate some last-minute changes and to help answer all of my questions before I arrived. Thank you so much for helping to create some great memories of my time in Iceland!

Iceland Trip Review: Reykjavik, Super-Jeep Tour, Nature, 7-Day Trip

My husband and I had a great trip to Iceland, thanks to Zicasso and the tour operator. Our travel agent was very responsive and answered every one of my emails promptly (and I sent a lot of emails prior to our trip!!). He touched base during our trip as well to make sure things were going well and made himself available to answer any questions that may have come up during our stay. He was able to give us updates as they occurred and was helpful when we decided to change our itinerary around and cancel some things we had previously booked.

Overall, we had a great time and got to see just about everything we hoped to see! One week just didn’t quite give us enough time to see and do it all though!
