We had a wonderful experience with the tour designer at the travel company. He created a truly once in a lifetime trip for us, and connected us with an incredible private guide. We experienced more than we ever could have hoped for. By far, everything about this trip exceeded our expectations. The tour designer was always readily available and made the process of international travel during the current pandemic very easy. Thank you for a fantastic trip!Show More
After setting a budget and providing a wish list of things we would like to experience, this travel company arranged quite an extraordinary vacation! We chose this company because it is an Icelandic company with a very knowledgeable staff. This travel company was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had either by email or by phone despite the 5 hour time difference between Houston and Iceland. We were more than pleased! Our guide/driver stayed with us for the entire trip making for a stress free time. From touring the countryside to hiking a glacier to suggesting local restaurants, our guide/driver is a top notched professional! Our guide/driver made our Icelandic adventure the incredible experience we dreamed of and this company is lucky to have access to such quality guides. I highly recommend this travel company if your preference is a first class and exclusive trip of a lifetime.Show More
We are several weeks past the return from our trip, but we are not out of raves for the entire experience. We asked for a highly customized trip to visit the great old libraries of the world across several mid-European countries and were richly rewarded by the excellent transportation, drivers, and guides provided by the travel company. This was a fabulous and life-affirming experience. It would not have been possible without the careful planning and research done by our travel planner and his colleagues at this travel company. The hotels that were arranged were central and convenient in the cities in which we stayed and their personnel were friendly and incredibly helpful, adding to the enjoyment of our trip. Food recommendations, especially a food tour that was booked for us in Prague, were spectacular. Given our focal interest in centuries-old libraries and literature, the planner and his crew found top-notch experts in each location who deepened our understanding of the incredible edifices we toured and their histories. Then, especially in route from Prague to Vienna, we must exclaim about the beautiful alpine scenery and small towns. Noting that we were also very interested in nature, our driver-guide detoured to take us to mountain locations that were personal favorites of his. Spectacular! It’s simply difficult to say how much we enjoyed this trip in every detail.Show More
We had a fantastic trip to Iceland. Our family of eight ages 16 to 83 thoroughly enjoyed the adventure. The communication and logistics to arrange the itinerary were disappointing. I'm not sure if this was because of our timing in the pandemic, cultural differences, or something else. One in our group wanted to fly fish and the experience set up for him was a complete bust with no fish and a multiple mile walk home along the road. However, we could not have loved our tour guide, Thor more. Once we met up with him our experience was perfect. He is an incredibly intuitive person who made an effort to get to know each of us individually in order to cater to our unique interests. He is extremely knowledgeable about the geography, history, and culture of Iceland and readily shared his saga-telling with our group. He is an exceptional communicator and worked diligently to get additional activities in place for us. He was also extremely flexible in catering to our requested changes. We are so grateful to have been matched with him.Show More

We had an amazing time in Iceland! We did a self-guided driving vacation, supplemented by some privately guided activities. Everything was well-planned and pre-arranged by our travel specialist, so we were able to enjoy our time worry-free.
Our travel planner was very responsive to the initial connection Zicasso made between us. He listened to what we wanted, was straightforward about costs, gave us options based on our desires and budget so we can make informed decisions, accommodated our requests, and was always available when we called during our trip.
We plan on returning to Iceland to visit the rest of the country and see the Aurora Borealis. We'll be reaching to Zicasso, and our travel specialist, again to help us with the arrangements.

Iceland Travel Review: 12-Night Tour
Working with our travel specialist during covid was a mixed bag. While the trip planning started out well, there were more than a few things that created more stress than pleasure. We were willing to try almost anything but made it clear that our reason for going to go to Iceland had to do with it’s ruralness. We did not think they were particularly good at keeping that info front and center in their planning. In addition, when we finally got the full itinerary, about three weeks before the trip started, there were multiple errors that really didn’t need to be there if a close reading was done before sending the itinerary out. We ended up going directly to some of the providers to get information because our travel specialist didn’t seem willing to do so.In one case, we found that a tour scheduled for one time wasn’t actually in the tour provider’s online schedule. In another case, we found that an excursion required 7 hours in a bus with at least 2 other people in addition to the driver. And we learned from the tour company that they didn’t even have the additional two people so the tour was likely going to be canceled unless we agreed to pay an additional $600 for a private tour.None of this was ever told to us, it was just listed as “confirmed” on the itinerary. And the description was just pulled from the website of the provider so initially we weren’t even sure if it was considered a public or private tour. When we went back to our travel specialist with specific questions and concerns, we received an answer that it was a great tour. Thankfully (in a weird way) we went to the provider directly and learned that a) it was a public tour in a closed vehicle and b) unless two other people signed up, it would be canceled. None of this was told to us by our travel specialist, not initially when we were in the planning stages and made it abundantly clear that covid issues was front and center (we would have clearly nixed a 7 hour tour in a closed vehicle with strangers) nor when we received the itinerary and it showed as “confirmed” with no explanatory information. We ended up canceling the tour directly with the provider which we were able to do because they didn’t have the minimum. But it was very stressful to have to do all of this on our own, within a week of our departure. And then of course that left a pretty big one day gap in a 13 day schedule where we were in a location for an extra day specifically to pick up this excursion.
One more matter that needs to be expressed has to do with the need to get a Covid test when leaving Iceland. They gave me the name of testing facility and suggested that we make the appt 3 1/2 hours before our flight home was to depart. We had a rental car to return, and we had been hearing rumblings of long waits at the departing airport in the media. I was concerned about all of this and asked them if they could provide me with a timetable for that last day, what time to leave the hotel, how much time to allow for transport between these places and returning a car rental and allowing enough time to get to the airport etc etc. Their response was something along the lines of “no we can’t help you here because this is a self guided trip not a tour”. My husband and I have traveled extensively both privately and on tours. Sometimes we’ve planned it totally by ourselves and at least in one instance used a zicasso tour company to help us with a trip to New Zealand. I’ve never experienced a response like that.

Our Iceland experience was a wonderful trip. We were an 8 person family with three generations traveling. Our guide was super knowledgeable and accommodating. He adjusted the itinerary and schedule as needed to manage the various needs of all our travelers.
He was very knowledgeable with all parts of our trip and especially helpful in finding vegetarian-friendly food options like an amazing tomato farm restaurant.
