This travel company created a meticulously planned trip that allowed us an authentic insight into Japan, its people and culture. The travel company is particularly adept at giving its clients an insiders look into Japan. They spent time in finding the best people who represent the local art and culture and ensured that we were able to have hands-on, immersive experiences that resonated with us and that we will remember. I was most impressed by the fact that unbidden, the travel planner and his team took time to curate a list of bakeries and confectionaries and their specialties because they knew that was an interest and passion that I have. While everything that they had planned worked like clockwork the few things with which we were not completely happy were changed with alacrity. It should be noted that after our first full day with our guide it was clear to us that we had enjoyed everything except our guide's company. The travel company promptly made changes and provided a refund as well! We also did not like our hotel in Tokyo (we had requested to stay at this hotel- the planner did not recommend it). Despite it being a busy time, this travel company found us an alternative hotel that we loved. This company is extremely responsive and adaptable if you need changes made during your trip; a real advantage of using local travel agency like this one over US based ones.

Our family enjoyed our trip to Japan immensely! The trip planner did a wonderful job of getting our trip together and after a couple of times of tweaking the schedule, it was so much fun and enjoyable. We had a few days of rain, expected during late fall, and a minor earthquake in Tokyo, which is common...so much to experience in all different ways!! We travelled through Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto and Hiroshima in about 2 weeks. Upon arrival, our guide directed us to purchase our Suica card at the airport, to avoid the fee if purchased elsewhere. Tokyo, the first days, we explored on our own. Hakone, Akiko, was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide! Though it was foggy and rainy, we had a nice time in Hakone! Kyoto, with our guide was a lot of fun. We spent 4 days there and covered a lot of areas. Shigaraki, was an experience to see so many pottery and raccoon pottery! Uji, very scenic and pretty along the Hozu River cruise and fall colors with temples. Tea ceremony was educational and an experience!! Kiyomizu Temple area, my favorite!! Hiroshima, on our own & the hotel was great!! Stayed at the hotel at the station - very convenient next to the station and loads of food and restaurants. Really appreciated The planner putting the tour together, hotels and trains, along with the wonderful guides we had!Thank you!! Doo mo arigato!! Thank you, Zicasso!!

The travel planner and I worked on our trip (9 days to Kyoto, Nara and Toyko) for months before we left. I changed the itinerary several times and the planner was very patient and accommodating. The trip went off without a hitch, everything was perfect and as advertised. We had two guides, our guide in Kyoto and our guide in Toyko who spoke very good English and were a pleasure to be with. They were very nice, knowledgeable and fun to tour with. The hotels we stayed a were 4 to 5 star and were great, the meals that were set up for us were great (best sushi in Toyko I ever had).My son who traveled with me got sick during the trip and our travel planner was communicating with us twice a day on how he was doing and offering to help anyway he could. He was very concerned. The planner's follow-up is excellent, for me that's really important. Through out the whole process from beginning to end his response time was amazing. Our planner gave us a hot spot wifi device to use for free for our entire trip, it was a great amenity as we could text, email and google while we were touring. Little amenities like that can make or break a trip. For anybody traveling Japan the language is a real problem unless you speak Japanese, not many English speaking people. I would strongly recommend having a guide to make your trip more pleasant. Overall our travel planner gets a 5 star rating from both my son and I. He was terrific. One last thing, I've traveled a lot over the last 30 years and been to just about everywhere including Antartica, Madagascar and the Arctic, Japan is a very safe and cool country to visit. I always do private tours and I put the planner's company at the very top for detail, price and planning. Trust me he's well worth the investment.

First, the travel designer planned an amazing trip for us to Belize - great locations, activities, etc. Second, the designer and her team were very helpful and responsive! We went in January - when Omicron was surging. We were panicking about seeing if we change the dates, what happens with our travel insurance during different points of our trip if we do get Covid, etc. They helped field alllll of our questions with compassion and kindness - if we were driving them crazy they never showed it to us. Third, they were helpful and responsive even when we were on our trip. They helped reorganize some excursions on our behalf due to inclement weather in the forecast. Fourth, they were very organized and emailed/mailed us all the documents we needed, etc. and loved the personalized website they created for our trip. Lastly, it was great our designer reached out afterwards for feedback on our trip – I definitely recommend them, and look forward to working with them again in the future!

The travel agency helped us to plan a trip of a lifetime to Japan with our two teenaged sons. Our agent was extremely responsive throughout the whole planning process and definitely listened to our concerns, as well as the things we really wanted to do. We love food and she planned some excellent food tours that allowed us to get an insider's taste of Japan, rather than going at it on our own. Was everything perfect? Of course not, but not much I would change!! Highly recommended.

What an Amazing customized trip!! We were celebrating a very unique Bachelor Party Japan Style. What made it even more complex is that we had people joining the trip throughout the week we were in Japan. All I can say is that the customer service was top notch the accommodated reservations for the ever changing number of guys to are trip. As the groom I got to do and see everything I wanted to (Whiskey tours, sight seeing, incredible reservations for food, Mari Kart Driving, Dressing up in Kimono's and taking fun and memorable pictures...and even as super special dinner was organized at the last night). We had 9 guys on our trip and organizing and making reservations for such a large group in Japan was an incredible feat. Everyone on the trip said hands down best and most memorable trip they have been on! Let's hope I don't have another bachelor party...but if I did, I would do it all over again with this travel company.

Our trip to Japan proved to be a wonderful experience thanks to Zicasso and this tour company who helped us craft a trip of our preferences along with their recommendations. We worked with a travel planner who seemed to understand the kind of trip we imagined, some structure with flexibility and freedoms to explore on our own. Our planner was always available and open to our interests.Every lodging was the level we hoped for, clean, great location, culturally interesting and authentic with great staff. Our guides were so delightful, informative, friendly and so helpful. We remember each one fondly with a grateful heart. We even experienced a typhoon in Tokyo! Though a typhoon was not on our list, the company and their contacts in Japan took excellent care of us. Timely communication and immediate execution allowed us to continue our travel with minimal disruption and a sense that "someone" knew our situation. We unfortunately missed seeing Mt. Fuji and the Hakone area, which could not be avoided due to the severe damage in the area due to Typhoon Hagibis. But our adapted tour gave us opportunities in Tokyo and Kanazawa that enriched our trip. This is our second trip with Zicasso, and it proved as smooth and wonderful as our first (S. Africa).I encourage anyone looking to travel to Japan or any other place Zicasso offers to feel confident they will receive the trip they desire. Thank you!
