Our Zicasso travel representatives met us every step of the way. The guides and drivers were exceptional, especially the Egyptologist who accompanied us throughout Aswan and Luxor, who was very well-informed, interesting, and a lot of fun!

The hotel in Aswan was remarkable. The hotel in Cairo was extremely nice. The only issue we had, which our travel agent handled beautifully, was that even though the hotel in Luxor was five-star, the rooms we were originally assigned were definitely three-star. The hotel bent over backwards and gave us a lovely suite, a reserved table at breakfast, and a felucca sailboat ride on the Nile. The hotel in New Cairo was okay because it was close to the airport for our return trip, but was basically a convention-type place; nothing special.

The Zicasso tour operator was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. He told us he wanted us to have the best possible trip and that nothing was too much trouble. I believe that was his intention.

For example, when the Wi-Fi aboard the cruise turned out to be very poor, our guide immediately got a data SIM for our phones. We had two guides, one for Cairo and the north and one for Luxor and the south. Both were very experienced and well-versed in their knowledge of the history of Egypt and the monuments they were guiding us through.

Our hotels in Cairo and Alexandria were entirely acceptable. We were, however, disappointed that sometimes we were taken for lunch at tour bus restaurants. It would have been much nicer if a quieter and more intimate restaurant had been selected. By contrast, in Suez, we were guests at a private social club and treated to an incredible lunch as we watched massive ships glide by so close to us. It would have also been nice to have had more information on tipping customs, since every country is different.

I cannot recommend our agent highly enough! From the moment we started planning our honeymoon, her charisma and passion for travel truly shone through. She took the time to understand our preferences and crafted an incredible itinerary that perfectly matched our vision.

Every dinner recommendation she provided was nothing short of amazing. Each meal was a delightful experience, better than the previous!

Our accommodations were top-tier, offering both luxury and comfort, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy our time together. Each location was beautiful and added to the overall magic of our honeymoon.

She is also incredibly knowledgeable about the area, sharing insights and stories that enriched our understanding of the culture and landscapes we were exploring.

My daughter and I just returned from our trip to Egypt. I have wanted to return since 1978 when my husband and I were there, and it has been a dream to go back with our daughter. We once again used Zicasso and they put us in touch with this travel agency; our experience with every member of their team was outstanding.  

Our agent planned our trip and was unfailingly responsive to any request, managing to incorporate everything we wanted to see and do without us feeling rushed and getting exhausted. All of his recommendations were perfect, especially his selection of lodging and the Nile river cruise (the vessel offered understated elegance and fantastic food and service). We were met on arrival in Cairo and shepherded through the entry process; the quality of service was phenomenal from that moment on.  

The team handled the trip logistics beautifully, from an additional museum trip to procuring birthday flowers for me for my best friend who was also traveling in Egypt with her husband. There was a great benefit in having dedicated (and very skillful drivers) at each location as well. The trip, from start to finish, was trouble-free.

Most of all, we were very blessed to have our private guide. Her knowledge and professionalism were superb. She was a wonderful teacher, a lovely person, and we thoroughly enjoyed learning from her.

Our Zicasso travel planner did an excellent job creating a wonderful itinerary for our trip. All the information we needed was mailed to us in an extensive, detailed packet. This became our Bible as we navigated Istanbul, Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini. We had so many moving parts to what we wanted to see and the coordination of over 16 car transfers, four hotels, three flights, and two ferries was perfect. The tour guides in Istanbul and Athens had master’s degrees in history and architecture and added so much to the experience. With private tour guides, we were afforded the opportunity to add some spontaneity to our daily adventures. (My husband is obsessed with European football, so we did a detour to visit the Istanbul stadium.)

The hotels were first rate and made for perfect end-of-the-day unwind locations, with great amenities. In addition, the Mediterranean breakfasts are first rate and afford you the opportunity to skip lunch and plan a dinner on your own. There were contact people in each country to easily access for support.

Zicasso’s travel company developed and executed a wonderful travel experience. Pre-trip planning was key and involved numerous emails and phone calls.

Given the situation in Gaza, the calm, reassuring guidance was greatly appreciated.

Their teams in Egypt and Jordan were great. Each member was very professional, yet extremely personable. The airport assistance, drivers, and especially the guides were first-class. Such good, good people.

The accommodation and restaurants were top of the line. How can you go wrong with our hotel in Aswan?
