We have just completed an extraordinary trip to Indonesia with Zicasso's travel partner. Having traveled around the world, we do have a decent sense of premium travel service, and this team absolutely knocked it out of the ballpark.

To begin with, our agent made the planning phase a breeze. His availability at all hours and readiness to respond to our numerous queries stood out and gave us tremendous confidence. His guidance with the sequencing of the itinerary proved invaluable. And, unlike most travel companies, his sincerity was obvious when we were allowed to book the hotels ourselves, saving a substantial sum.

The experience on the ground was nothing short of amazing. In fact, at times we felt embarrassed at the level of attention and care showered on us! From the moment we landed in Jakarta to the point we boarded our return flight from Denpasar, the team was constantly on top of things, sending us instructions and inquiring about our status to make sure everything was in order.

Our guides and drivers were among the most wonderful human beings we have met. They did everything possible to make the trip memorable for us. We are certain there were many others behind the scenes who we did not meet, but worked tirelessly – our heartfelt thanks to them.

Across six hotels, domestic flights, and miles of travel on the road, we always had complete peace of mind, which we will always cherish.

Our trip was great, and we have no complaints about the travel company, which was very supportive and responsive to any requests and last-minute changes of plans. 

We normally like to explore off-the-beaten paths when we travel, but instead, we felt like we were following more of the touristy crowd.

 As a young couple who enjoy adventure, we would have appreciated the guide helping us explore places that are more for locals.

 We noticed that the travel company was not too familiar with the hotels we stayed in and we think it might be important for the agents to see the locations in person to provide better guidance.

Our eight-day Bali vacation was a dream come true! I shared my vision of a 20th-anniversary trip filled with relaxation, sightseeing, and adventure, and Zicasso’s travel planners crafted the perfect itinerary. They were incredibly accommodating throughout the planning process, making adjustments until everything was just right. With Balinese tour guides and drivers, we gained valuable insight into the island and its culture. Our co-ordinator communicated with us daily to ensure everything was going smoothly and we were satisfied. It was my first time using a travel agency, and ours truly made our 20th anniversary special.

We had a good relationship with our Zicasso travel agent, who helped to organize our dream trip to Japan. The trip itself was lovely. The accommodations were top-notch and our agent created a customized itinerary that accommodated our special requests to attend a baseball game, overnight at a Zen monastery, and visit a tea farm.

The only downside was that once we were in Japan, our main contact ended up being another outfit, one that organizes tours for countless tourists each year. As a result, we didn't have consistent contact with our tour operator. It was only possible to reach their representatives via email or by using roaming to call them on ($$$). It would have been better to be able to reach reps and local guides via text message or WhatsApp.

The information provided by the in-country tour company hadn't been updated since before the Covid-19 pandemic. It consisted of a series of PDF files with hyperlinks that weren't live, so you couldn't simply click for more information. It left a less-than-luxurious impression.

Nevertheless, the trip was still spectacular and we had a great time.

As first-time travelers to Southeast Asia, we wanted a travel company that would tailor a trip to our wishes, provide seamlessness as we moved among the countries, and be responsive to daily changes that might occur. Zicasso's travel operator was all that and more.

From the extremely helpful pre-trip consult to the back and forth regarding various possibilities, the proactive recommendations based upon deep experience in the areas, the carefully selected guides and drivers, and handling little wrinkles as they occurred, our travel agent and his team were absolutely tops.

We loved each stop and, as a result, have become promoters of visiting such a fascinating and welcoming part of our world.

Overall, we had a great time. First, I want to thank our Zicasso travel consultant, who helped us plan an itinerary that met all of our needs. She was very prompt and incorporated our feedback.

Overall, Zicasso’s travel company did a pretty good job of planning the trip. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The spacing of the events on the itinerary was well-balanced, with a good mix of activities and free time!

The South Korea portion of our trip was flawless, with excellent guides and events planned for each day. Our local tour guides knew to change the itinerary when they noticed there was a chance to optimize timing for certain events to avoid crowds or that we were doing too many activities that were similar, which was excellent!

One point of feedback: Key transfers were missed (eg, We were expected to find our own way out of Hakone to get to the train station to Tokyo, only to find out the night before that taxis were refusing to come out to our hotel for fares because it was too far, and the hotel didn’t offer any good solutions. We were very lucky that our wonderful tour guide for Hakone offered to drive us at the last minute, otherwise we would’ve missed the train and our subsequent booked teamLab Planets and food tour in Tokyo.)

The moment I spoke with Jasmine from the travel agency for the first time, I knew that I was going to work with somebody who would understand my interests. Not only were Jasmine and her team accommodating, but they made sure I was able to get some rest in certain aspects of the trips where they could anticipate I would need a break. Very, very organized. They knew how to coordinate the entire trip, especially since I traveled to four islands (Java, Borneo, Bali, Nusa Penida). The whole team was very accommodating, and I do not have enough words to express how great I felt about their service.

When I arrived in Jakarta, I was immediately greeted by airport staff who helped me get my luggage and take me to the hotel. I was then met by the team who took time out of their busy schedule and showed me the Jakarta airport and Jakarta. They even took me out for dinner where I had an authentic Indonesian meal for the first time. Afterwards, every day, I was picked up by assigned guides and drivers who I felt safe with and could trust for that day. I learned so much about Indonesia, its history, and its cultures. All the guides were friendly and very informative, making sure I felt comfortable. They even asked me questions about America, my culture, and my philosophy. The team made sure I got to every site and made sure I was safe throughout the trip. Even all the hotels and resort areas I stayed in were amazing, clean, and beautiful.

Overall, I highly, highly recommend this travel company to everyone who wants to visit Indonesia. I was heard by them, I felt safe with them, and I was able to trust them. They treated me like a family member and I had a very memorable experience!
