Overall, Zicasso’s travel company did a pretty good job of planning the trip. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The spacing of the events on the itinerary was well-balanced, with a good mix of activities and free time!

The South Korea portion of our trip was flawless, with excellent guides and events planned for each day. Our local tour guides knew to change the itinerary when they noticed there was a chance to optimize timing for certain events to avoid crowds or that we were doing too many activities that were similar, which was excellent!

One point of feedback: Key transfers were missed (eg, We were expected to find our own way out of Hakone to get to the train station to Tokyo, only to find out the night before that taxis were refusing to come out to our hotel for fares because it was too far, and the hotel didn’t offer any good solutions. We were very lucky that our wonderful tour guide for Hakone offered to drive us at the last minute, otherwise we would’ve missed the train and our subsequent booked teamLab Planets and food tour in Tokyo.)

Our trip was great, and we have no complaints about the travel company, which was very supportive and responsive to any requests and last-minute changes of plans. 

We normally like to explore off-the-beaten paths when we travel, but instead, we felt like we were following more of the touristy crowd.

 As a young couple who enjoy adventure, we would have appreciated the guide helping us explore places that are more for locals.

 We noticed that the travel company was not too familiar with the hotels we stayed in and we think it might be important for the agents to see the locations in person to provide better guidance.

We had excellent communications with Zicasso’s travel companies before and during the tour. I'm happy that I didn't have to plan this trip. 

Every hotel, train travel, tour, and experience they chose for us was excellent. We appreciated having Japanese and American tour guides. We really appreciated the daily summary page and the detailed instructions in the Info pack about each excursion, including which exit to use when leaving the subway. It was handy to have the PDF version of the info pack to avoid carrying more paper on excursions and to share with my travel companions. The travel app wasn't as helpful because it didn't contain the detailed info the info pack did. 

I contacted the travel company once during the tour, on January 1, and they responded within a day. I was surprised and happy about that because it was a holiday. 

There was only one situation where the info in the info pack didn't agree with what happened. That was a change in tour guide in Kyoto, but it was okay, since we really enjoyed our guide. Well done overall!

Overall, we had a great time. First, I want to thank our Zicasso travel consultant, who helped us plan an itinerary that met all of our needs. She was very prompt and incorporated our feedback.

We had a great trip to Japan with this Zicasso travel company. We booked pretty late, so there wasn’t great flexibility in creating the itinerary, but the locations and activities chosen were excellent. The guides were professional and organized, and the transfers and other arrangements were pretty flawless.

We could have used more downtime/fewer guided hours on a long, two-week trip. Despite the internet hype, Japan is not hard to navigate, especially once you’re in country and can ask for help from your hotels. We didn’t need as much handholding (a person at the airport, a person to take us to the train station, etc). The experiences were excellent, though perhaps pricier than necessary.

All in all, it was a great trip that required little thinking on our part.

We recently celebrated my husband's 40th birthday with an incredible trip planned by this Zicasso travel company, and I cannot recommend them highly enough—especially our travel agent, Dharsana. From start to finish, every detail was meticulously curated to make this milestone truly unforgettable.

Our journey began in Singapore, where we checked into a stunning hotel. The views from our room were nothing short of spectacular, overlooking the iconic skyline and Marina Bay. Dharsana surprised us with a beautifully crafted birthday cake waiting for us, making the moment even more special. We enjoyed our tour of the Gardens by the bay and a marine boat cruise at sunset the day before the F1 race. During our time in Singapore, when things didn’t go according to plan—a less than clean vehicle—Dharsana immediately booked us a new ride, no questions asked. His responsiveness and commitment to our comfort were evident throughout our trip.

Next, we flew to Bali, where we stayed at an exquisite hotel in Ubud. One of the highlights of our arrival was a police escort from the airport to the resort, allowing us to breeze through traffic and arrive in style- this was something neither of us experienced before. Dharsana set us up with an amazing guide and driver, who were with us throughout our entire time in Bali. They were incredibly kind and welcoming, ensuring we never had to lift a finger. We truly felt like we had friends with us the entire time.

The ambiance at our accommodation was magical; the sounds of nature enveloped us as we lounged in our luxurious tent. Dharsana arranged a relaxing couple’s massage, which was the perfect way to unwind and celebrate life. To make our stay even more memorable, we enjoyed a private BBQ dinner right on our terrace, surrounded by the breathtaking views of the jungle and the serene atmosphere. It was an intimate and romantic way to celebrate the occasion.

Our guide was exceptional at documenting our journey, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in each experience without worrying about capturing every moment. At the end of our trip, he surprised us with thoughtful gifts to take home to our children, which truly touched our hearts.

Our final stop was in Uluwatu, where the views of the Indian Ocean from our villa took our breath away. Dharsana met us there, ensuring everything was perfect, and continued to provide outstanding service by updating us on the weather daily and texting us for each flight until we returned home. His attention to detail and thoughtfulness made us feel truly cared for throughout the trip.

Every aspect of this journey was tailored to us, and Dharsana’s dedication made our experience truly unique. This travel company has certainly earned our trust for any future travel plans. I just want to say a big thank you to Zicasso's travel partner for planning an awesome birthday trip for my friends and me. We all turn 60 this year. Fortunately for me, we were there on my birthday. From start to finish, our agent was instrumental in planning our itinerary. I told her what we were interested in doing and she made it happen, and also gave suggestions on what she thought we might like. She was always quick in responding and whatever questions I had, she readily answered without hesitation. She rocked!

I would be absolutely remiss if I didn't acknowledge our awesome tour guide. He was so incredibly attentive, generous, and very knowledgeable, and has got to be one of the nicest people on the planet! He made me feel extra special with all of the staff at the various dining locations by having them sing happy birthday to me/us and bringing a small treat with candles. I mean, talk about the little things that mean so much.

Working with our Zicasso travel agent to plan our amazing trip to Thailand was a delight. We told him what our general ideas were (natural world and historic sites), and he proposed three appropriate itineraries. We picked the one that most interested us, then he modified it to meet our specific desires. He was readily available and very responsive to my communication, in spite of the time difference between the US and England.

For each component of our trip, our agent found absolutely amazing guides, including guides for birding, touring an elephant sanctuary, kayaking, and a cooking school. One of our last-minute requests was to have a bilingual guide with us for the entire trip. Our agent hired an amazing young man who was very knowledgeable about Thailand and educated us while helping us navigate a country with a language and alphabet that was baffling. He guided us through temples, shopping districts, menus, and transportation. He became one of the family by the end of our week together.

The trip was amazing, the accommodations were luxurious and unique, and the activities our agent planned were just what we wanted. We would not have changed a thing.

We need to thank Zicasso, because without them, we never would have discovered such a wonderful trip planner out of England. They were fantastic.
