Peru Travel Guide

The trip was flawlessly planned and the logistics were well executed. All the hotels, tours, and other recommendations were top-notch. Zicasso’s travel specialist, in particular, was able to accommodate some spur-of-the-moment requests very well. A great trip overall!

A group of six toured parts of Peru, including Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. When that portion of our trip was over, we went to Quito for one day and then onto a small cruise ship in the Galápagos. Every moment of the experience felt as if it were curated just for us. Most of the time, we went on tours with our guide and it was just the six of us. It was perfect because the guides could be flexible since it was just our group.

We had many guides and drivers in Peru, but we had a favorite guide and driver. The guide went so far above and beyond, it is hard to even explain. One example: we arrived by plane in Cusco around 8pm. None of us had been wise enough to eat lunch that day, so of course ,we were hungry. Unfortunately, we were not going to arrive at our hotel until just after 10, when the restaurant closed. Our driver called ahead, got the menu for us, helped us order, so it was ready when we arrived.

It was not just that. We were met after baggage at every destination and taken directly to our private van. Literally, every moment was accounted for from start to finish. We did so many tours in Peru and then went on a yacht in the Galápagos. This was an incredible yacht. The tour director accounted for our every need, even bringing us to a hospital because one member of the group was not feeling well due to a previous medical condition. The food was good. Our excursion guide was fantastic and seemed as excited about the animals as we were.

Zicasso’s travel agent began our experience with a lot of good ideas and options based on our discussions with her about what we wanted to do and how we wanted to travel. We found her to be extremely responsive, with great attention to detail, innovative ideas, and flexibility to change things around so we could, for example, take advantage of a festival that was happening in one of the cities we planned to visit. We had a completely satisfying experience with the travel company and would recommend them to anyone who wants to travel to Peru.

What an amazing trip and experience. Zicasso’s travel agent helped plan a trip with concierge treatment and assisted in determining how to best spend our time. From Machu Picchu to hiking to the Amazon rainforest, everything was first class.

We loved Peru and everything went very smoothly. We couldn’t have done half as much without the Zicasso drivers and the guides, and we learned a lot as well.
