Countries Open Now to American Travelers

Ratings of Zicasso's Service
Mykonos, Greece

Mykonos, Greece

There are dozens of countries open to American travelers where you can travel safely to enjoy an exceptional vacation customized to your preferences. The guidelines and details for each country can be numerous and vary wildly but working with your Zicasso travel specialist can clear up and ease logistics with a combination of expert know-how and local knowledge. We can make your trip possible with real-time information and deep destination knowledge for 92 countries around the world.

Below is a list of every country that we recommend where there is no lengthy required quarantine for healthy travelers, entry and exit requirements are manageable and safe, testing kits are available for return to the United States, and our travel specialists can ensure a spectacular trip with every customized detail in place.

Travel to Europe

Yes, you can travel to Europe! The headlines have been full of updates from the European Union, but you can still travel to Europe as each member country has their own entry requirements. Returning Zicasso travelers have come home with excellent reviews.

For vaccinated travelers, many destinations now require both a copy of your CDC vaccine card and a negative Covid-19 test. For unvaccinated travelers, some destinations may require additional testing and, for a few, quarantine.  At some destinations, you are required to show your CDC vaccine card to get into indoor venues such as museums and restaurants.

If you are interested in traveling to Europe in 2021 or 2022, do not wait to get your plans in motion. If you’re considering travel this year, here are three reasons why Europe remains a top choice:

  • Covid/Delta is on the decline in countries like Spain, France, Iceland, etc. Or, in countries like Italy, Ireland, and Portugal, cases have already leveled off
  • The infection rate (number of cases per 100,000) is low. For key tourism countries such as the ones mentioned, it is 2X to 4X lower than the US, so it’s relatively safer than the US
  • Europe’s vaccination rate is much higher than the US. Spain is over 70% fully vaccinated, further contributing to safety and low infection rates

Last-minute trips are possible, and we currently recommend Spain, Croatia, or Portugal. Greece, Italy, and Iceland are also extremely popular, and connecting with a travel specialist is the best path forward for a smooth vacation experience.

Interested in traveling somewhere not on this list? Our Traveler Care team is ready to answer any questions and connect you with a local specialist to any of the 92 countries we serve. While this article is updated weekly, entry requirements to all regions are subject to change without notice, and Zicasso is ready to help you navigate these changing dynamics.
