Zicasso’s tour operator was great to work with and handled all the details to plan our trip exactly to our requests. Almost everything went smoothly except for a small issue we ran into at the airport, but our agent was easy to contact to take care of it. Also, the local agents were quick to respond.

Everything scheduled and planned exceeded our expectations. The follow-up by the Zicasso travel agent during our trip was an unexpected, nice touch. It seemed each day was better than the previous one.
There were drivers, transfer reps, and guides.
The job of the drivers is self-evident.
The transfer reps met us at airports and docks, handled all logistics, and got us from point A to B. They all proved efficient and helpful, and were universally of good cheer.
Our guides were all excellent – knowledgeable, patient, insightful, and eager to share their knowledge with us. We were fortunate to have a guide for five days in the Andes. We recommend him without hesitation.
Our package included a “three-night, four-day” stay on a luxury riverboat, with strong emphasis on “luxury” in every sense of the word. However, boarding at 5.30pm on day one (we landed in Iquitos at 2.30pm) and departing at 8am on day four meant we really only had two full days on the Amazon, but those days were grand.
We told our agent of our interests. Besides the usual museums and archeological sites (all very interesting), he also arranged "experiences" – cooking (we learned how to mix a pisco sour) and visits with a really cool farmer/entrepreneur and a tile artist (the artist was interesting, the workshop “experience” meh.)
On our last day, we visited CORE Archaeology and the MAP Museum in Cusco with a guide, a transplanted Irishman. It was one of the highlights of a trip with many, many of them.
Every hotel our agent booked us into was excellent.

We had an absolutely amazing trip. Our Zicasso travel agent made our vacation very special. She put together a trip that took us to all of Ecuador's regions, with fantastic guides who went above and beyond.
The lodge in the Amazon was such an adventure and the cruise in the Galapagos gave a perfect glimpse into the islands.
Our agent’s attention to detail made our entire trip so easy and stress-free. All we had to do was enjoy our adventure. From Cotopaxi to diving Kicker Rock with hammerhead sharks to seeing endless wildlife in the Amazon, our agent and her company created the perfect trip, and I can’t recommend them enough.

Zicasso’s travel company organized a fabulous trip for us to Ecuador in February 2024. We visited the Galapagos, the Amazon, and the cloud forest, three biodiverse regions with incredible opportunities for outdoor adventures.
The trip exceeded our expectations in every way. The guides were interesting and knowledgeable; the accommodations were comfortable and suited to each of the locations; the food was delicious; and the activities varied, with opportunities for seeing sea life, birds, flora, and fauna, in addition to understanding the history of the culture and the Ecuadorian people. Despite our concerns about civil unrest in the country, there was no evidence of this at any point in our travels. We felt completely safe and well cared for by our guides and driver.
We found our guides to be very accommodating to our requests and needs, adjusting our agenda easily and without any reservation. Their flexibility, warmth, enthusiasm, and care made our trip memorable and special.

We were extremely pleased with the service provided by our travel agency, which made our first trip to Ecuador smooth, easy, and memorable. We could not have asked more of our guide, who introduced us to the culture, history, food, and architecture of Quito. Her knowledge of the area was encyclopedic.
Our guide in the Amazon Rainforest was a superb naturalist who shared his knowledge freely, leading us to an eye-opening experience in the jungle. The cruise aboard the Galapagos Legend was first-class in every way.
Zicasso’s tour operator also saw to it that we made our transportation connections, which certainly relieved the stress associated with that aspect of traveling in a new country.
The itinerary put together by our travel agent ran the gamut of Ecuador, from the Amazon Rainforest to historic Quito, the Ecuador highlands, and the Galapagos Islands. We could not have been more pleased with the trip, which leaves us with memories for years to come.
