Panama Travel Guide

My husband and I, along with two of our friends, spent two unforgettable weeks in Panama this past May on a privately guided trip organized by Zicasso’s tour operator.

We began our journey in Bocas del Toro, where we stayed at a private bungalow resort set over the water. The setting was absolutely stunning, peaceful, scenic, and perfect for relaxing, while surrounded by nature.

For the second week, we moved to Casco Viejo, the historic old town of Panama City. We stayed at our hotel in Panama City, which was truly amazing. The hotel perfectly blended old-world charm with modern luxury, making it a highlight of our stay.

Our itinerary was filled with incredible experiences. One of the most memorable was our visit to an Emberá village, where we had the opportunity to meet the local community, watch traditional dances, and enjoy authentic local cuisine. We also loved our culinary tour in Casco Viejo, learning about Panamanian flavors and culture through food.

Other highlights included visiting the Panama Canal and exploring Gatun Lake, both fascinating and well worth seeing. Every tour and excursion was thoughtfully planned and seamlessly organized.

Overall, we had a fantastic time in Panama. The trip exceeded our expectations in every way and we would highly recommend the destination and the tour operator to anyone looking to explore this wonderful country.

They were able to provide customized options based on my interests, took care of all trip details, with the exception of flights, and also made sure I was having a good trip experience during the trip, with customer service ready in case anything came up.
