Day 1 - 3
Bangkok – Where Thailand’s Sacred Heritage is Highlighted
Before you explore the elaborate Isan region of Thailand, you will uncover the cultural roots that underpin Bangkok’s timeless traditions. Your discovery of this diverse destination will begin as you land and transfer through the dazzling streets toward your luxurious accommodation. An enchanting ambiance will exude from your premier suite, where uninterrupted spectacles of the cityscape stretch as far as the eye can see. These spectacles will lead you along enthusiastic roads, where local markets express the city’s lively spirit, and grand temples highlight its rich heritage. In the evening, you will begin to feel Bangkok’s lavish embrace as you dine on artisanal Thai cuisine at a prestigious rooftop restaurant that will provide you with a view of the divine skyline.
Wat Pho stands as a beacon of sacred history and highlights the country’s unending devotion to Buddha. The walls of the complex's spiritual constructs are embellished with precious jewels that glisten under the tropical Thai sun, and its halls are home to a wealth of history that is represented in intricate murals that your experienced guide will decipher. The apogee of nonsecular appreciation within the grounds is a monumental Buddhist image, whereby the iconic figure reclines 46 meters in length and is completely gilded. The beloved Grand Palace stands adjacent to Wat Pho, and you will soon experience its striking presence. A variety of intricately designed buildings constitute the entire Grand Palace, and among these revered establishments is Wat Phra Kaew or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The venerated Emerald Buddha image, which was sculpted from a block of jade in the 15th century, is enshrined within the temple and is accentuated by golden robes that are seasonally draped over its body by the king in hopes of good fortune for the country.
Vendors will have constructed their stalls, and locals will flock to morning markets at the first sign of light the following day. Within the meandering aisles of the bustling market, you will indulge in traditionally prepared Thai cuisine. Each delightful delicacy originates from years of culinary customs and will introduce your palate to the indelible flavors for which authentic Thai cuisine is famous.

Detailed Description
The magnetism of Isan spreads across the secluded landscape of Northeast Thailand and is highlighted on this enchanting tour that will begin amid the bustle of Bangkok. Sacred Buddhist temples that are ornately designed in golden plates and rare jewels share their majesty and cultural traditions alongside grandiose skyscrapers that extend toward the sun. Vibrant markets surround these significant sites and will provide you with the opportunity to delve into the delicately rich flavors that constitute Thailand’s world-renowned cuisine. The nearby ancient city of Ayutthaya, which is your second destination before reaching Isan, is enveloped in precious history that is highlighted by the dramatic temple ruins that you will soon peruse in awe.
Nakhon Ratchasima will welcome you to Isan with its evergreen jungle terrain and Khmer-influenced highlights. As you tour across the diverse topography, you will capture images of gibbons as they swing across the canopy and waterfalls as they pound over the striking limestone cliffs. Magnificent mammals will traverse the tranquil wilderness as you and your experienced safari guide wallow in their fascinating habitats. You will then venture further into the heart of Isan and find yourselves amid the stretching sandstone region of Ubon Ratchathani. Prehistoric cave paintings are carved into the rocks that encompass Ubon’s beloved Pha Taem National Park, while the fluorescent green glow of Wat Phu Prao will invite you to uncover age-old spirituality in a completely new light.
The final stretch of your immersive Isan tour will bring you to Khon Kaen, which is a destination that holds significant importance as a leader in education within the region. Its prominent City Museum houses sacred texts, which offer insight into the traditional Thai lifestyle that dates back to archaic ages. Thailand’s immense, cave-riddled national parks will give you the thrill of adventure that you have been desiring. These exceptional environmental highlights will be accentuated when you arrive on the peaceful Red Lotus Sea in Kumphawapi, where you will be surrounded by a flurry of flourishing lotus flowers. Before your tour comes to an end, Udon Thani will divulge more of its immense natural beauty at Phu Phra Historical Park, which is the home of monumental rock formations that served as shelters in the old-world.

A huge shout-out to Zicasso's trip coordinator, who orchestrated this incredible trip for us. Each outing was better than the previous one; our guides were awesome, both fun and informative; the hotel selections were just what we wanted, intimate and special. And everything was scheduled like clockwork.
Despite epic rainfall (which led to flash flooding in areas of Chiang Rai and, in fact, prevented normal access to the Black House Museum), they carried on, delivering every bit of our planned itinerary on time and to a tee. This type A control freak (me) never felt the need to “manage” a thing, which speaks volumes about this tour operator's extraordinarily high level of organization, communication, and coordination.
Thank you to everyone involved. It was clearly a team effort. We are most grateful for the magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience you made possible for us.

Zicasso's travel company was amazing! I cannot say enough good words about this company and all the people we worked with!
We planned our honeymoon to Thailand with our travel specialist. He gave us a call shortly after we filled out the contact form. We talked about what we were hoping for on our vacation and what kinds of hotels we like to stay at, etc. Our specialist was very responsive over the whole planning process and would send us sample itineraries until my partner and I were completely happy with the whole trip. His suggestions were thorough and we didn't have to do any research on our own.
We did a trip around the whole country: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, a couple of national parks, and Koh Samui. We had mostly private tours and they were all fantastic! The drivers and tour guides were all friendly and knowledgeable.
Each night, our contact messaged us all the details we needed for the next day. It was super-helpful and allowed us to relax more knowing someone was there for us. We really enjoyed our experience and would be happy to work with this travel company again!

We had a great trip to Thailand with our Zicasso trip planner. They set us up with a very helpful guide in Bangkok, who made it easy from the time we stepped off the plane, through all the temples, activities, night markets, tuk-tuks, and boats.
Our hotel in Bangkok was great, with nice views and a nice breakfast buffet. We took the free hotel ferry to the shopping mall and it was a lot of fun.
Our resort in Koh Samui was incredible. It had a great beach and pool. The elephant sanctuary and the cooking class were highlights. We would probably pass on Pig Island next time as it was very dirty and we saw pigs getting attacked.
Overall, we had a great time and the tour guide took care of us completely, from start to finish.

We had an amazing, nearly three-week trip throughout Southeast Asia. Zicasso's tour operators did an incredible job planning all of the details of the trip. In general, I am not easily impressed and I tend to be pretty upfront with my criticism. In this case, I was truly impressed. I really don't have any criticism about the whole experience.
This was a very complicated trip, with eight cities/locations and six internal flights. We had great communication in the months and weeks leading up to the trip. They were receptive to all of our requests and they gave very good advice when we had questions.
All of the guides were great. The hotels were amazing and all of the details of the activities, transfers, and internal flights were well thought out and well coordinated. I was so impressed by their attention to detail. They were also willing to be flexible and able to make changes, even during the trip. I was able to reach them throughout the trip by WhatsApp and they responded quickly every time. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.
