Detailed Description

Myanmar and Thailand are coated in mystique, their historic wonders imbued with rich spirituality and a compelling atmosphere. This handcrafted two week itinerary journeys to their cultural heart, handpicking the destinations that hypnotically unveil the magic of a whole region. Green valleys clad with temple ruins, ancient capitals untouched for centuries, gold gilded pagodas only just made accessible to tourists, ebullient markets that elevate the senses; this itinerary provides a stunning immersion in both the renowned sights and local experiences. Domestic flights effortlessly connect the destinations and a handpicked selection of expert guides provides the narrative to accompany the architectural brilliance. Each day bursts with highlights and distinct memories, with the ubiquitous smiles of the locals adding an additional blanket of enchantment.

The first four days are spent in the Land of Smiles, Thailand. Arrive in Bangkok and soak up its compelling contrasts: charming markets beside gleaming skyscrapers, elegant canal cruises followed by ancient tea shops, tuk-tuk rides and spectacular palaces. Fly north to Chiang Mai, the country's cultural heart immediately impressing with old city walls and 14th century temples. Soak up the spirituality and then feed the senses further with an organic Thai cooking lesson. Yangon is your first stop in Myanmar, the ambient capital epitomizing the laid-back style and welcoming ambience of a nation. Expect crumbling colonial remains, resplendent pagodas, colorful characters filling open-air markets, and this is just within an hour of landing. The next two days ensure you explore all the charms and renowned architectural wonders of this delightful city.

Myanmar continually offers surprise and astonishment. Take your next stop, Bagan, where an exuberantly green valley is covered in the remains of 2,200 temples and pagodas, some of them reaching over 45 meters into the blue sky. Spirit filled Mount Popa, your day trip destination on day eight, is equally bewildering. By day nine you've reached historic Mandalay, home to its own myriad of fascinating cultural treasures and transcendently beautiful sites. Ancient kingdom capitals surround the city and day ten takes you to three of the finest historical towns anywhere in Asia. For your final few days you're deep in the picturesque delights of Inle Lake. Visit hill tribes, hike along majestic trails, canoe through floating markets and gardens, and visit the 8,000 plus Buddha statues that fill the Pindaya Caves. But this, like the rest of this description, is just a snapshot. Check out the detailed itinerary for more detail about the unique experiences and captivating memories of this once in a lifetime vacation.

Thailand Vacation Review: Koh Samui, Elephant Sanctuary, 3-Week Trip

Our trip was to Thailand for almost three weeks. It was a fantastic country to visit. Everything went perfectly right from the start. We are seniors (I'm 90) and, of course, needed help getting around. Zicasso and our travel company made our trip perfect. The guides were amazing. Everything was on time. I can't say enough about how well the whole trip went.

Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand Trip Review: Siem Reap, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Krabi, Angkor Wat, Elephant Experience, Food Tour, 17 Days

The trip was wonderful. We went to five different places in 17 days. We got to see the best of Singapore, Siem Reap (including a wonderful show that was there just for us), Bangkok, Chiang Mai (where we bathed the elephants), and Krabi. All the stops were great and our guides were all fabulous. We had high tea with Zicasso’s travel specialist and his assistant in Siem Reap. It was nice to meet him. Any minor issue we had, the travel company stepped in and helped immediately. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

Thailand Travel Review: Chiang Mai, Krabi, Koh Samui, Snorkeling, Elephant Experience, 2 Weeks

We had the most amazing time traveling to Thailand! Zicasso’s travel specialist created a personalized itinerary for us, keeping in mind our preferences the whole time. The trip went seamlessly and each tour guide and driver was on time, with good communication. It was great how the travel specialist and the travel company handled everything, from checking in to domestic flights to coordinating rides and even giving recommendations on days we had no excursions planned.

I would definitely recommend this travel company to family and friends wanting to travel Asia. Thailand was an incredible place and I can’t wait to go back!

Thailand Travel Review: Bangkok, Private Island, 12 Nights

The trip was out of this world. All of our guides were super-caring. Our first guides were great; they were fun, super-knowledgeable, and overall, created a great atmosphere. Our second guide was just as fun. He had so many unforgettable adventures set for us. A private dinner on the private island was insane!!! So cool! Bangkok was incredible too. It had its ups and downs, but we made the absolute most of every minute!

Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam Tour Review: Krabi, Temples, Elephant Sanctuary, Rafting, Biking, 1 Month

We really enjoyed our trip! Zicasso’s travel specialist and the team created an interesting itinerary to match our interests. It was also placed in a travel app that allowed us to access our information at any time.

The travel company suggested a variety of excursions that were excellent! We visited many temples, historic sites, an elephant sanctuary, a national park, went rafting and biking, used a large variety of modes of transportation, and explored large and small cities and towns. Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Drivers/guides always showed up on time.

WhatsApp was used regularly to keep us up to date on excursion details and we also received our in-country flight check-in and plane tickets on the app. We would recommend this travel company for other travelers ready to explore this part of the world.
