Day 1
Sanur – Welcome to the Capital of Bali
Your guide will meet you at the airport in the bustling capital city of Denpasar. On your way to your luxury hotel, discover that the charms of Bali are also in its architecture as its myths and culture are carved on every street and every turn. Barong, the mythical lion, guards the land fiercely at the cities many entrances; statues of Arjuna, Hanuman, and other warriors stand tall in the city, perhaps still fighting the battle of good and evil, the eternal battle at that spun the beginning of Bali’s legends.
Traditional architecture is also evident in your hotel, where you will certainly find rest. After a few moments to recover from your travels, visit the nearby Kuta and its famous Legian beach for a relaxing stroll to find a mélange of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Kuta has a mix of high-end brands and local wares, including the traditional kebayas (top), sarongs (wrap skirt), kamen (wrap for men) and udeng (headband for men). Renowned Balinese brands like Uluwatu and their handmade lace outfits and Bin House for batiks are also easily available. Over dinner, enjoy your first sunset in Bali before you return to your serene accommodations for a night of rest, lulled to sleep by the soft gamelan music that plays in the wind.

Detailed Description
A land that does not seem to belong anywhere, Bali is steeped in its unique culture of Animism, Hinduism, Buddhism and a reverence for nature. Balinese honor not just the legendary warlords and mythical devas (deities) but also the land, sea, food and arts. This customized 10-day luxury tour takes you on a journey through them all.
Myths, legends, and folklore are still alive and evident. Relive the Ramayana (the Hindu epic of the eternal battle) through shadow plays and fire dances; hear the many folklore stories that Bali has to tell through its temples, sacred grounds, and monuments, each set within the scenic landscapes. Experience Taman Ayun, the beautiful temple on the lake, the sacred monkey forest, and the sunset at the mysterious Tanah Lot. Continue on to the temple on holy springs in Gunung Kawi, the picture-perfect Uluwatu that is perched on the cliff, and ancient palaces that are surrounded by statues of warriors, guardian, and courtesans.
As you travel, many colorful ceremonial parades will cross your path. Be mesmerized by the Barong and Kecak dances, the intricate crafts, bamboo weaving, jewelry making and batik painting, an age-old art held dear to the heart of Bali. Have your fortune told by the medicine man, his knowledge of the divinity passed down through generations. Indulge in local cuisine with the layers of spices and long-held traditions; cook a Balinese feast in a Balinese home and foray into the countryside and its villages. Discover its arts, crafts, galleries between the nooks and crannies in Ubud’s colorful streets. Pamper yourself with traditional spa treatments using age-old jamu, a natural concoction of herbs and fruits.
Enjoy Bali’s natural beauty as you coast along cliffs to find a secluded bay in Jimbaran. Dine by the sea, in the terraced rice fields as the sun sets. Walk along the rice fields in Ubud and its countryside to view the majestic Mount Batur volcano, said to be built by a giant and gorgeous with it’s glistening crater lake. Find flocks of elegant birds return en masse and the sacred grounds where monkeys play and laze. Swim with sharks, lay with turtles, and cross the sea with dolphins in serene Sanur. Enjoy thrilling moments in the sea as you parasail and fly fish, and enjoy immense family fun on banana boats and donut boats before you relax by the beach as the sun sets in Jimbaran. It won’t take long for you to believe that Bali is indeed the Land of Gods.
