Day 1
Sydney – Stop, Rest and Relax
Australia is far from everywhere so you can land and relax. You will be greeted at the airport and transferred to a hotel that is close to Circular Quay. This is the best location for transport connections as well as walking in the old city center. Sails will shine white at Sydney Opera House just 400 meters away. Sydney Harbour Bridge will appear majestic, arcing over the Parramatta. Many local ferries can provide a relaxed afternoon on the river while the streets around Circular Quay are packed full of cafes and restaurants. Nothing is planned for today, and it is hard to predict your energy levels after a long flight, so rest, relax, hang around the pool, or create some first impressions of this famous city.

Detailed Description
Whether it is two weeks in Australia or two months, there are five sides to the country’s allure. All five can capture you from first glance before going on to provide an immersive experience regardless of your age. There is the city, which is a convenient place to start and to understand the local vibe. Beyond the city, you find the bush, which are beautiful rural areas that are still connected to civilization. Beyond that, there is the Outback, which is a remote wilderness on a vastly breathtaking scale. Wildlife plays its part as well. Can you imagine an Australian vacation without kangaroos and koalas? Lastly, there is the coast with powdery white sand, tropical islands, and the Great Barrier Reef.
This may seem like a lot to cover in the course of a couple weeks, but it is definitely possible. This handcrafted tour connects these distinct and iconic travel experiences. There are four days in Sydney to settle into the country, and two days in the nearby Blue Mountains, which are a stepping stone on the way to three fabulous days in the Outback besides Uluru. Connect with wildlife during your single day in Brisbane. Then, escape to the Whitsundays, using Hamilton Island as a base for playing around white beaches and the Great Barrier Reef. That is five different overnight destinations in two weeks with easy travel connections between them all.
Sydney is packed with family experiences, and they start in the Opera House where you can watch a kid-focused theater performance rather than simply take a tour of the building. There are beaches to the east of the city where older kids can try surfing, fami and younger ones can splash in safe, tidal pools. With four days, you can customize the city stay to all your interests from climbing on Sydney Harbour Bridge to Taronga Zoo. Then in the Blue Mountains, you discover the bush where spectacular landscapes meet convenient local trains and easy walking routes. You are getting out into nature without reaching the end of your comfort zone, including a glass-bottomed tram above the Three Sisters.
While the Outback may not initially seem family-friendly, it is a very safe and hugely inspiring place to be. Stay at a stunning family lodge that is close to Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Ride camels in the desert, discover the stars, explore Aboriginal culture, and escape into the silence of it all. It is a magical place that provides a real connection with a misunderstood world. Fly from Uluru to Brisbane, and you only have one day in the city that is dedicated to an animal outreach project that offers close-up encounters with Australian wildlife. Then, you will end with three days on Hamilton Island, including excursions to the Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven Beach in addition to much-needed downtime after the adventure. I would use our travel company again in a minute! Zicasso's travel consultant really “got me” and designed the perfect trip for us.
The highlights especially included picking perfect places for us to stay (close to most everything we were doing and in the heart of the cities). The tours, both private and small group, gave us not only what we asked for, but even more that we didn’t know existed.
The itinerary was as detailed as it could possibly be, describing the day, what to bring, names and phone numbers to call if there were issues, and who we needed to call to confirm future tour dates.
One of our highlights was the penguin experience. Our guide was great and our trip planner got us “plus” tickets, which I would definitely recommend. Finally, she provided us with the necessary info and guides (where necessary) for our amazing hikes.

Zicasso's travel specialists were fantastic! They provided excellent and unique recommendations. As a traveler seeking adventure and outdoor experiences, they completely understood my needs. Additionally, all accommodations were high quality, communication was very clear, and pricing was reasonable. I would strongly recommend them to anyone traveling to Australia/New Zealand.

We absolutely loved so much of our trip! My kids’ (ages 11 and eight) favorite activities were luging in Rotorua, NZ, and the sunset camel ride in Uluru, AU, while my husband and I were enchanted by Hobbiton and enjoyed exploring a glowworm cave with the owner's father! We all loved Tasmania.
There were a few hiccups. However, we were very happy with all the support the Zicasso travel company's team provided in real time to help us get back on track.
The overall trip was fantastic. My husband and I appreciated having the team support our adventures, both the highs and the lows. The team members were detailed-oriented. This trip exceeded our expectations and we’re incredibly grateful for their expertise in curating such memorable experiences.

Zicasso's tour planner did a superb job for us. She collaborated with us on working out our itinerary and had useful information on how to combine our desired destinations efficiently.
While we were in Australia, she was available via the company's app, including helping us on a late evening when our flight from Sydney to Hobart was canceled because of a cyclone and we needed a short-notice hotel in Sydney.

Zicasso's travel company and our agent's team were phenomenal and very supportive, even when certain events were out of their control. They made everything on my trip to Australia simple, with excellent accommodations and activities laid out for me. They restored my faith in travel agencies and trip advisors. I had full confidence in them while visiting another country and will continue to refer anyone who is planning a trip to contact my agent's team for booking a memorable experience. Thank you to her and her delightful team.

I would highly recommend Zicasso's trip coordinator. He planned an excellent and very enjoyable trip for us (a family of five, including two teenage boys). He was very easy and accommodating to work with. The trip went smoothly and we have many great memories.
