Detailed Description

Experience the authentic beauty and genuine charm of the Amalfi Coast on your 8-day hands-on tour. Whether you are an artist at heart or a home-taught chef, a lover of Mediterranean cuisine or a collector of shimmering ceramics, in Positano you will find an enchanting world in which you can easily cultivate your artistic self. Trails crisscross the hillsides that connect the tranquil fishing villages. Fishing boats wade in the serene Mediterranean waters along the small marinas as hidden grottoes and ancient churches are equally fascinating. Each day in Positano provides another chance to sample traditional cuisine and relish the relaxed pace of a majestic town.

When you arrive at Naples International Airport, your private transfer will greet you at baggage claim. Travel alongside the Bay of Naples to reach Positano, the most westerly town of the Amalfi Coast. Venture along the terraced streets before you delight in your first taste of Campania with a fabulous chef’s tasting menu. The next day is at your leisure to discover the splendor of the Amalfi Coast as you desire. Lounge on the pebbled beaches or hike to the panoramic views along the Path of the Gods. You could even spend the day in ancient Pompeii for a view of life in the Roman port city.

After breakfast the following day, you will meet your ceramics instructor after breakfast for your first in a series of classes dedicated to teaching you the delicate art. In the afternoon, you will meet your cooking instructor for a fabulous introduction to the Mediterranean kitchen. Recreate traditional southern Italian recipes with a gregarious instructor eager to toast with a regional glass of wine. Begin the next day with your second ceramics lesson to decorate your personalized memento before it goes into the kiln. Venture into the olive groves on the grounds of a private olive oil producer to learn about the historical process and its roots in the region. Follow your tour with a sample of the various types of olive oils created in the factory, from extra-virgin olive oil to orange infused oils. In the evening, return to Positano for another cooking class to take you deeper into the heritage of the unique dishes of Positano.

Move on to your final ceramics class to finish your beautiful creation before you pack it away to take home with you. For lunch, you will then embark on a fabulous gourmet tasting at a restaurant with a wine pairing for each dish. Next, you will traverse the Amalfi Coast to visit the gorgeous beachside streets of Amalfi and the meandering hillside lanes of Ravello. Experience the sweet flavor and crispy texture of sfogliatella on a bakery tour of Ravello. Linger in the peaceful atmosphere of the morning in Positano the next day before you embark on your final cooking class on the coast. Flavor abounds, and tradition comes to the forefront during your time in the kitchen. Your private transfer will meet you at the hotel in Positano on your final day to escort you to Naples International Airport for your flight home.

Italy Trip Review: Rome, Amalfi, Positano, 12 Days

The trip Zicasso's travel specialist arranged for us exceeded all our expectations. It was absolutely wonderful; not a single detail was overlooked. The hotels were excellent, the tours were great, and the drivers were always on time. I totally recommend Zicasso and the agency, and will undoubtedly use them for future travel plans.

Italy Travel Review: Lake Como, Ostuni, Private Boat Tour,...

Zicasso's travel designer did a terrific job. We had the initial phone consult, after which she delivered a first draft of the itinerary. From there, she helped guide us through a few revisions until we got the details smoothed out. We are experienced travelers and can appreciate a well-constructed trip, and that's what our experience with our agent reflected.

One crucial thing is that all the drivers who are engaged to move you around are prompt. Every one of them was right on time and friendly and helpful to boot. It was much appreciated.

To sum up our experience, I would do it all again with Zicasso and the agency and our agent. Our trip to Italy in the late summer of 2025 was something we will not soon forget!

Italy Tour Review: Vatican, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pompeii,...

Zicasso's travel agency far exceeded our expectations. We had our five-year-old and 11-year-old children with us, so the tour guides and walking needed to be kid-friendly.

Our hotel in Rome was wonderful, the location was perfect, and they had good A/C and a breakfast buffet. There were plenty of great restaurants within easy walking distance, as well as the Vatican.

Our tour guide for the Colosseum and Roman Forum was great. Pompeii was amazing. Our tour guide was basically a celebrity down there and knew exactly how to take us around the ruins without ever waiting.

Tuscany was our favorite by far. We did a cheese-making experience and lunch that was super-cool. The kids got to play with the farm animals and the owners were so attentive and interesting. We did a cooking class with a chef that was the kids' favorite thing on the entire trip. I would make a point to book this experience; the kids still talk about it and wear the aprons around the house. The resort in Tuscany was nice. We had our own private pool, plus the resort pool, and could easily walk to a small local town with some great food.

Venice was good, but probably our least favorite on the trip. You have to walk a ton, which was difficult for the kids, but it's still worth experiencing.

We travel a bunch and I would highly recommend using Zicasso's travel partner.

Italy Vacation Review: E-bike Tour, Kayaking, 10-Night Trip...

This was the best trip ever!!! I am so grateful Zicasso introduced us to our tour operator. This team was amazing! They set up a call to learn more about us and jumped into action. Within a short time, they came back to us with a presentation on ideas, with recommendations. There is no chance our trip would have been half as good without them. They even had a text group on standby while we were here in case we needed anything.
