This trip resulted in the most extraordinary two weeks of my life! Everything, and I mean everything, was absolutely perfect. I had a vision of what I wanted this trip to be and worked with Sherilyn at the travel company to bring the vision to life. She provided sound advice and created an itinerary that was spot on! Throughout the year of planning, Sherilyn was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns that I had. I was provided a very detailed trip itinerary, along with everything I needed to know about traveling to Africa.  No stone went unturned and we were very prepared as a result of all of the information provided. The trip itinerary covered both Southern Africa and East Africa over the course of two weeks. We pulled out all the stops and included as many activities as time would allow.  From a helicopter ride over Victoria Falls to a rhino walking safari in Zambia to a hot air balloon ride over the Maasai Mara in Kenya—none of the activities disappointed!Every one of the guides we had was excellent.  The service we received at the airports (both inbound and outbound) was exceptional. All of the accommodations (hotels and camps) were amazing and we would definitely stay at any of them again. This was definitely a trip of a lifetime and I don’t believe it will ever be outdone! Thank you Zicasso for connecting me with this travel company!

The trip was great. We got to see everything we wanted to see, including the big five and the migration of large herds of wildebeests and zebras. The travel company was extremely helpful. The pre-trip prep was very thorough, but the true test came when I lost my cellphone in Mara towards the end of the trip, and then our return flight was unexpectedly cancelled. So I was stranded in Nairobi with my 12-year-old, having almost no means of communication with the rest of the world, and the rebooked flight was not until 5 days later. The travel agency worked with local providers and put together a 3-day side trip for us to go to Lake Nakuru to see rhinos, rebooked our local transportation, and made sure that a local agent would be at the airport to help us when we departed --- and they made all the arrangements within a day. They helped make a really stressful situation a lot easier to deal with.

Trip of a lifetime. Everything was planned meticulously. The itinerary was perfect, and the agent really listened to our preferences and requests when planning it. We were met at every destination, and every point of our trip promptly, tour guides were fantastic, and the hotels/resorts were superb. In addition, Kirsty was always readily available to answer our questions along the way. Could not say enough great things about Kirsty and her team.

Kathy and I have traveled extensively and have used guides from Zicasso at least a half a dozen times. I can honestly say that Dan and Mandy at the travel agency are the best trip team we have experienced. We just returned from a 16 day East African adventure that was nothing short of amazing. Every trip detail was planned for us and there wasn’t a single moment that didn’t go according to plan. Dan acted as our personal guide and not only was he a pleasure to be with, he also planned a number of small surprises throughout the trip that just blew our group away. Every part of the trip was custom planned from our tent camps, game drives, and our hikes through the Rwanda mountains to see the gorillas. Our trip focused on Kenya and Rwanda but Dan’s knowledge of the animals, local cultures and political history has hooked us on Africa. We will soon begin planning our next visit and this travel company will be our team again. Can’t wait for our next adventure.

This was the trip of a lifetime: three weeks in 4 different countries (South Africa, Zambia for a few hours, Zimbabwe and Botswana), all without any logistical problems. The travel company and the subcontracted providers were all top professionals, timely, friendly and accommodating. Each of our guides, especially each one on our safari excursions, was outstanding. Due to Covid, we had to postpone this trip twice, We are happy we didn't give up on our dream.

Our tour operator (Andre) was rather unresponsive at times and when he did respond it could be weeks later. I felt he could have planned a tighter trip. His ground crew in Entebbe are lacking. An untrained newbie was sent to meet us at the hotel, while her superior (our contact) was a no show. She offered no options for the day in Entebbe such as the botanical gardens which located near the hotel was an option we learned after the fact. We would have been better off picked up at the airport by our driver who resides in Entebbe and driven to Kibale. Instead, we flew and our driver met us at the airport in Kibale!  We were to go to the Dianne Fossey Museum in Rwanda only to learn it had relocated 30 minutes outside of town months ago, an example of poor planning and not staying current. Often our schedule had too many activities and travel time crammed together to enjoy it all. We went directly from a half-day golden monkey trek, into a vehicle to drive from Uganda to Rwanda, an extended stay at immigration (driver had problems with his ID) to missed museum opportunity and another drive to Kigali for one night. I felt the tour operator knowing the areas and activities scheduled, should have done a better job logistically and suggested we add a few extra days to our trip rather than make it a stressful marathon. The meals were delicious, however we felt rushed at every meal (except dinner). Example: We were scheduled to go to Gibbs Farm for lunch which was lovely, however, we were rushed through lunch to go on a long hike which was ridiculously uncomfortable directly after a three-course meal. Furthermore, the drive to lunch, the hike, and then the drive to the crater was almost a total fiasco, trying to keep this jam-packed schedule we arrived at the crater gate after it was closed forcing our guide to beg the gatekeeper to allow us in. I can provide many other examples of poor planning on the part of Andre, but my time is limited.

Our trip was spectacular! We really enjoyed the mix of activities i.e. game drives, boat safaris, and all the primate trackings. Each tracking was a different experience and we enjoyed every minute! Our private guide was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, personable, and a great driver. All the lodges we stayed at were beautiful with exceptional food and service. Our travel specialist planned an amazing itinerary for us. We were a bit late in the planning process but he worked with us and put together everything we wanted to do and more! He was always accessible (including weekends) and promptly addressed our questions and concerns. We look forward to planning our next safari with him!

My travel designer of this travel company planned the vacation of a lifetime - a real dream come true.  As a solo female traveler, I was particularly concerned about safety but once I was there, those concerns dissipated because of the care my designer had taken to ensure that I was accompanied by a trusted guide every step of the way. I would not hesitate to recommend my travel designer and this travel company!

Our trip to Africa was fantastic, and could barely be improved upon.  My wife and I went to Rwanda and Uganda for mountain gorilla trekking, then to Tanzania for safari game drives in Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro NP, and finished up in Zanzibar for swahili cooking class, snorkeling and a spice plantation tour. The trip was organized by a travel planner at this travel company. After sending our ideas to our travel planner, we worked back and forth for a week or so to fine-tune our trip itinerary to include the things that we wanted to do, which involved seeing as much wildlife as possible. My wife loves monkeys and I am a birdwatcher, so we made sure that there was plenty of both in our itinerary.  Our travel planner was very organized and great to work with. She even met us in Arusha with her husband, to say "Jambo" hello. Our guides were both great guys, very knowledgeable of the birds, wildlife and culture that we saw. This travel company is highly recommended and we would use them again if we traveled to Africa.

If you’re looking for the next generation of East African tourism, you’ve found it in this travel company. The owner and guide sets the bar high in luxury travel. My husband and I just returned from our 14 day adventure with this travel planner as our tour guide with driver. While we went in search of gorillas and golden monkeys we came home with real life real life experiences of culture, people, politics and the rich and complicated histories of Uganda and Rwanda. Our photograph album will only tell part of the story. What can’t be captured by the photographs is our travel planner's attentiveness to every detail, our shared laughter, contagious excitement we all felt when we finally discovered the hidden away group of lions and the connection with our planner when he shared stories about his own growing up in Uganda. We had the usual trip highlights that other reviewers describe but for us some of the most memorable moments happened when we detoured from “the plan“ and took a “side road”. One example was when our planner took us to his beloved primary school and introduced us to his 97-year-old teacher who he visits regularly in her home which was his former school. This tender interaction demonstrated his caring nature which he applies with passion on behalf of his guests. Another side road adventure took place when we passed a Hot Springs. This crowded spring is the gathering point where throngs of people seek therapeutic relief found in the magical water. This spontaneous activity provided us with education, laughter and a true look at the community. Finally, on our last day our planner surprised us with a plan to have lunch at the hotel featured in the movie Hotel Rwanda. He knew how moved we had both been by the film which tells the story of the horrors of the genocide that took place in Rwanda. One thousand people were saved in this hotel. Lunch, overlooking the beautiful countryside, was a stark contrast to the genocide museum that we visited later that day. Any review of this company needs to also shine a spotlight on our driver, who safely drove over some frightening roads and kept us safe for 14 days. But this driver is much more than a driver. He is also a highly educated man with many years in the travel industry and offered a perfect counterbalance to our planner's talents. As a traveler this industry is exploding and you have many options. We would recommend that you place a winning bet and choose this company and it’s owner. He indeed is a rising star with a vision and a plan to deliver the best customer service possible.
