Sabi Sands Game Reserve – Big Five Welcome to Africa
Touching down in the Greater Kruger is a special experience, especially for children. So many dreams accompany your arrival in Africa, involving the biggest animals and most famous safari sights and just as you arrive and transfer to your lodge, many of them are realized. Elephants with their beautiful tusks saunter by with their trunks swinging along the ground, giraffe poke their heads above the trees and silently watch as you pass. A river is dappled with hippos and a floodplain covered in buffalo is seen out the window. Even around your camp, you are likely to spot wandering zebra, nyala, bushbuck, and plenty of monkeys.
For the next few days, you will be staying at an intimate child-friendly camp that celebrates Londolozi’s 90 years of history. Your chalet is designed for families with a convertible children’s room and a private deck perfect for overlooking the riverine bushveld below as elephants often wander. Earlier in the day, you will have landed at O. R. Tambo International Airport and then transferred onto a flight to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, where your Londolozi guide will meet you. Your journey to the camp will bring animals, and then an afternoon game drive will start ticking off more and more of your family’s safari dreams.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience and met nice people and professional guides that showed us a small part of your beautiful country. The pace of our stay was very good for older folks. We enjoyed Cape Town and all the sightseeing done with our guide: Table Mountain and the scenic drive to Cape of Good Hope, and the time spent in Franschhoek and the guided tour. The time spent at the game reserve gave us exposure to some of the wild animals that we had never seen but in movies or magazines.
Thanks to Zicasso’s travel specialist and her team for preparing our trip. It was very easy and the Zicasso website works very well.

We’re still not over our trip! Everything was absolutely fantastic. Thank you for organizing such a great experience and making it so effortless for me. I already have family and friends asking who I went through, and I’m guessing some of them will be reaching out to you in the next year.
I do have one small piece of constructive feedback about our camp in the Olifants West Nature Reserve. The staff, lodge, and food were wonderful, but unfortunately, the safari guide fell short. We had just come from the camp in the Thornybush Game Reserve (where we left our hearts—the guide there was truly exceptional, with such a great personality), so the difference stood out even more. At the Olifants West Nature Reserve camp, we saw very few animals and the guide didn’t engage much—he barely spoke, and when he did, it wasn’t very professional or kind, especially toward my son. My son even said the trip might have worked better in reverse, since after Botswana it was hard to adjust to seeing only a few animals a day.
That said, I’m so grateful for how smoothly you planned everything, especially on such short notice. It really was a trip of a lifetime for us.
Thank you again!
