Galapagos Islands and Ecuador Travel Guide

Our trip was incredible. Zicasso’s tour operator was fantastic in planning and executing this special trip. We were in New Zealand for almost nine weeks.

Twice during our travel, we were able to get instant help to adjust our travel schedule, once because we wanted more time in one place and later to accommodate for being sick for a week.

Our trip involved 20 different hotels, inns, and guest houses, while experiencing boats, trains, and car driving to navigate both islands. The tour operator helped to arrange about 50 different events for us and then we added in many more ourselves before we left.

It has been almost a year since we traveled (Feb-Apr 2025). We have praised the tour operator (and Zicasso) to all our friends for its incredible attention to details and help anticipating all contingencies. The app for the trip was incredible in supporting the travel and collecting all the details of the arrangements comfortably in one place on our cell phones. We drove more than 2,000 miles during our trip and used Google Maps continually to navigate everywhere.

All our accommodations were comfortable. We carefully planned our packing to match the temperatures predicted for each location. We each traveled with a carry-on suitcase and a small backpack, and had everything we needed.

What helped with our planning was that we actually rehearsed the trip for several nights two months before we left and pre-planned special dinner reservations.

This was our second trip organized through Zicasso and both trips were great. In retrospect, we might have changed a few things, but by an overwhelming margin, the trip was great. Interesting tours, knowledgeable guides, nice hotels.

I was quite happy with my interactions with Zicasso’s travel specialist. She was very responsive to my queries and had a good sense of our needs and desires in planning our trip. I did find the need to have Zicasso as a middleman, rather than direct communication with her, pretty annoying, to be honest.

We went to the North and South islands of New Zealand for our trip, and I felt like Zicasso’s travel specialist planned it perfectly for us. We gave him our dates, budget, and activities we were interested in, and his initial pitch was spot-on. He was very accommodating when it came to changes as well. We ended up adding another day to take in some of the Māori culture and also ended up shifting our dates from October to November, which he easily handled for us.

Our travel specialist was great and patient about answering any questions we had, which weren't very many. I'd never gotten such a complete package of information from a travel agent! They also utilize an app, so all of the information we needed was contained there. I had one question during the trip that I needed answered that day, and I called the local number I was given. They answered immediately and were so friendly and kind. We really couldn't have asked for a better trip and a better supporting team behind us.

The tour operator put together the perfect honeymoon for my husband and me in Thailand. Every detail was thoughtful, seamless, and tailored exactly to what we wanted. What truly set him apart, though, was his dedication. Even when little hiccups came up, he responded at 2am his time without hesitation and handled everything directly and immediately. We never had to stress about a thing—he took care of it all.

Zicasso’s travel specialist was very knowledgeable about New Zealand and Fiji. He prepared a wonderful itinerary within our budget and the trip went off flawlessly. We had a weather glitch that required a change ASAP and he was right there to make the changes. It was one of the best trips we have had.
