New Zealand North Island Itineraries

Our trip was amazing in spite of the lack of support and the switch and bait on the itinerary.

Lack of communication and knowledge of excursions booked caused anxiety and confusion for us as travelers.

Hotels promised were not honored. For traveling across the South Island, the rental car booked was cheap/uncomfortable, and we had to have the vehicle serviced on our time.

Zicasso’s travel company did a phenomenal job with stays, tours, and activities. In particular, we loved our room at our hotel in Tasmania, our villa on Waiheke Island in NZ, and our room at our hotel in Melbourne. Our itinerary was well thought out and exposed us to exactly what we'd hope to see in Australia and New Zealand.

The itinerary was awesome! We had a few snafus with hotel reservations, but they were quickly resolved. The tours were perfect and all private, with excellent guides. The pace made good use of the time we had and maximized seeing the most locations in our time frame. The hotels were beautiful (especially the one in Queenstown, WOW!) and the rooms were perfect for our needs (kitchens and laundry). It was so great having everything pre-booked and guided, as it allowed us to relax and enjoy the trip and not worry about logistics. It was a trip of a lifetime.

I would highly recommend this Zicasso travel agency! When traveling so far away, it made such a difference to have everything coordinated by a professional. I have had many people ask how we managed to do so much with the time we had. Now, I don't think I can travel any other way.

Overall, the trip went off without a hitch, besides a cyclone that hit the North Island in New Zealand. It ended up not being a factor for us as we flew in and out of Auckland on time.

There was a potential strike at Air Tahiti when we were supposed to fly to Bora Bora, but we managed to avoid that as well. The only excursion we didn't get to do was the jet boat tour, as high amounts of rain caused the river to get so high, they had to cancel.

We didn't get to do the helicopter flight from the cruise at Milford Sound because not enough folks signed up for it. We knew that going in though and weather wouldn't have allowed it anyway. We were able to schedule our own helicopter tour later that day and had an enjoyable time.

The trip was magnificent; the itinerary, while very busy, allowed us to experience as much as possible within our timeframe.

While I believe the travel company was very engaged when planning, there was a major snafu with the travel company for which they took no accountability, resulting in having to escalate to Zicasso, who helped resolve, but it left a very disappointing impression.

We appreciate all that Zicasso’s travel company did to make our trip to New Zealand such a fantastic experience. Everything was planned out perfectly and we enjoyed every minute of it. The accommodations in each town were wonderful and the excursions, tours, and tastings were all delightful. Having our own drivers also allowed us to really enjoy the scenery and to not have to worry about getting from point A to point B across the South and North islands. The travel company was there for us from the very beginning as we started planning the trip, until we returned home, and was very responsive and helpful every time we reached out to them.
