Lisbon’s topography does not initially seem conducive to traveling with kids. On day one, you will get a local orientation, which will include the excellent Time Out Market of Lisbon. On day two, you will go on a treasure hunt of Sao Jorge Castle before riding the tram between the city’s distinctive neighborhoods. Jeronimos Monastery and the historical highlights of Belem will begin day three and will be followed by an afternoon at the beach. You will then visit Sintra Palace and indulge in a woodland picnic on day four. The amphibious hippo will take center stage on day five before Europe’s largest aquarium completes your week in Lisbon. Expect to travel slow, absorb the atmosphere, and discover the city.
