Buenos Aires – Arrive in Gorgeous Buenos Aires with an Introductory Tour
The city of Buenos Aires has an elegant ambiance emanating from the blend of South American spirit and European architecture reminiscent of the tree-lined streets of Paris. The 19th-century facades intersperse high-rise luxury apartments. Also, like Paris, each of the 47 “barrios” of Buenos Aires has a distinct character separate from the rest of the city like an enclave devoted to bohemian art, antiques, or certain cuisine. Your flight arrives at Ministro Pistarini International Airport, where your private transfer greets you upon arrival.
The aroma of rich coffee emanates from the cafes fading beneath the buttery scent of pastry dough emanating from the bakeries making savory empanadas. You take some time to settle into the comforts of your elegant hotel in the Recoleta. The barrio has established itself as the center of culture with broad, shady avenues, fashionable boutiques, and an undeniable European ambiance. Your guide meets you at the hotel and escorts you on an introductory tour of Buenos Aires leading you to the city’s civic heart at the Plaza de Mayo.
The president’s mansion, known as the Casa Rosada crowns the plaza with 19th-century architectural design and an unforgettable pink hue. The structure was erected over the foundations of the 16th-century Spanish fortress. A museum opened in 1957 displays presidential memorabilia such as sashes, batons, and furniture, as well as excavations of the original fortress. The mansion brings the prestige of the city to the forefront, as well as the history of Argentina from the Spanish Rule to Independence as the long avenues connect with the shopping district of Avenida Florida.

Detailed Description
Argentina is a country steeped in memories of the indigenous peoples to Spanish colonialists, the spirit of the Independence movement to the growth of a celebrated wine industry. Your 12-day wine tour celebrates the culture of vintners in Argentina and the diverse flavors of the vine tempered by the characteristics of the soil. Sample the stunning richness of the cuisine and the wealth of cultures from Buenos Aires to Salta, Mendoza to Cafayate during a remarkable wine-tasting experience perfect for oenophiles or amateur wine-enthusiasts.
The sumptuous splendor of Argentina emanates outwards of Buenos Aires, a city acting as the center of cultural history dating back to the Spanish colonial settlement in the 16th century. The variety of neighborhoods becomes a precursor to the wine regions showing how even regions within such close-knit proximity develop distinctive attributes. Exploring the city reveals the treasures of baroque architecture and the charms of boutique shops lining the outdoor shopping districts, as well as the wealth of wineries providing introductions to the flavors of Argentine wine and cuisine.
Mendoza has become the center of Argentina’s famous wine region with sub-regions blossoming through the use of different varietals and combinations. The quiet but mineral-rich oasis shines with exuberant flavors deriving from a culinary revolution beyond wine to include chocolates and ice cream. The different villages, wineries, and vineyards around the Mendoza region include the Malbec growing region of Lujan de Cuyo and the diverse region grape varietals in Maipu. The city provides wonderful opportunities to cycle around the vineyards and explore the panoramic mountain views of the Andean foothills.
Salta is another celebrated wine-growing region in Argentina also known for its preserved colonial architecture. The cobbled streets create a connection with the indigenous communities around the northern region, in addition to surrounding vineyards running from the arid landscape to the high-altitude plain. The landscape boasts majestic gorges shimmering with orange rock and lush riverbanks leading to vineyards thriving in the cooler climate on the Andean plateau. From museums displaying indigenous artifacts and art to a golden baroque pulpit in the church at Jujuy, Salta becomes your epicenter for wines and culture in the lesser-visited northwest.

Zicasso’s travel specialist planned the perfect trip for four people. He listened to our requests during the planning phase and incorporated everything we wanted, while also suggesting many fantastic activities that made our trip incredible. We were traveling for five weeks and didn't even have one problem. Every guide, hotel, and flight the travel company booked was great. We couldn't be happier with the amazing trip he put together for us and we appreciate his expertise so much! I absolutely recommend the travel company for anyone looking at a trip to this amazing part of the world.

They actually care about you and your trip. For a trip this big, things are going to go wrong or change, and Zicasso’s travel company did a great job of making things work, with awesome support. Better than this, they still provided assistance to us after our time with them had finished, but we were still traveling. They are a genuine company and it was very satisfying to deal with them... great job!

Zicasso’s travel specialist created a special, never-to-be-forgotten adventure in Argentina. As a 70-something-year-old woman who loves nature, wine, fine food, the arts, and meeting interesting people, the travel specialist provided all of that and more.
We had personal drivers and guides who introduced us to the history and culture of Argentina. We had lunch and dinners at Michelin- and five-star-rated restaurants, as well as stays in unusual boutique hotels. Evenings of tango demonstrations and a boat ride behind Iguazú Falls. I cannot recommend anyone more than the travel specialist to create a unique Argentinian itinerary tailored just for you.

This was our first experience with Zicasso and using our agency to assist in planning, scheduling, and supporting us throughout our trip to Argentina. The process was quite easy to understand and the agency did a fabulous job of choosing lovely accommodations for each city/town we visited. We requested private drivers for most of the trip and needed in-county flights to visit various cities. The support to accomplish all this was flawless.
The time in Mendoza was wonderful, visiting a number of wineries for tours, tasting, and lunch most days, again thoughtfully procured by them. We especially appreciated our support person while in-country. She reached out to us frequently to make sure all was going to plan and was easy to reach when we had questions. A top-class service and experience! Thank you so much.
