Paris - A City of Endless Flavor

Parisian streets frame a picture of intimacy. Local shops and charming markets create a village ambiance encompassing the various neighborhoods of the metropolis. Iconic architecture rises alongside the cobblestone avenues. The gargoyles of Notre Dame protrude from the sloping ceiling, looking out onto the quiet waters of the Seine River below. Serene bistros and Michelin-starred restaurants pride themselves on exquisite preparation and quality ingredients. Pastries fill the windows of local boulangeries (French bakeries). Decadent cheeses fill glass cases in narrow fromageries (cheese shops). Your private transfer meets you at Charles de Gaulle Airport upon your arrival in the city.

Settle into your hotel in the heart of classical Paris. At dinner, you have an introduction to the richness and quality of French cuisine with a dinner at a celebrated restaurant located on the Left Bank. The restaurant’s private gardens produce up to 40 tons of fresh ingredients per year. The sleek and simple décor of the interior allow guests to dine with their senses, focusing on beautiful plating, sensual aromas, and delectable flavors. A small bowl of carrot and garlic velouté, one of the five main sauces of French cuisine, arrives at the table. You find traces of smoked bacon inside the crème soufflé. The meal sets the magnificent standard for your entire culinary exploration. France Vacation Review: Montmartre, Provence, Nice, Private Tour, Cooking Class, 10 Nights

Wonderful! We did and saw a lot, and everything went smoothly. Zicasso's travel designer was very responsive to our questions and listened to what our expectations were for our trip. She really was a pleasure to work with. When she was out of the office, her colleagues were equally responsive and easy to work with.

France Vacation Review: Normandy, Paris, Loire Valley, Cooking School, Private Guide, 14-Day Trip

My wife and I just returned from a two-week trip in France that was mostly organized by the travel company. Zicasso's travel designer organized all of the transportation, accommodations, and activities for a combined week-long stay in Normandy and in Paris. In addition, she coordinated transportation and tours for us and a group of friends who joined us for a cooking school in the Loire Valley after our first week in France. The travel company did not plan the cooking school event.

The planning process started with a telephone conversation with our travel designer. I described our travel style, what we wanted to see and do, and a rough budget, and she came back with a preliminary itinerary. We had a second conversation and adjusted that itinerary to match with our travel and budget needs. I thought she was very helpful and responsive to this part of the process.

Overall, we were very pleased with the service and the product we got from the travel company. Everything was very well coordinated and well organized.

The only glitch we had was upon arrival in France. Our driver was not there to meet us at the airport. I texted her and she quickly contacted the driver and solved the issue (he couldn't find parking). In addition, we happened to be there when there was a potential work stoppage by air-traffic controllers and other government employees. Our travel designer proactively reached out to me to inform us of the situation. I really appreciated that.

Our accommodations were all excellent and very well located. The small group tours and private guides we had were also very well qualified and professional. In addition, the travel company had an app which contained the itinerary, travel documents, and other useful information. That was pretty slick!

I've mentioned our travel designer in this review, but she also works with a team of other people. Everyone we worked with was great and we wouldn't hesitate to use the travel company again should the need arise.

France Travel Review: Paris, Loire Valley, Claude Monet Home and Gardens, Eiffel Tower, Seine River Cruise, Winery Tour, 1 Week

This was one of my bucket-list trips and I was not disappointed at all. Our travel agent did an amazing job of explaining, organizing, and communicating everything for this trip. I only wish I had stayed a few more days to see everything we wanted to, but I want to go back and I will most likely use Zicasso again for any trips I book.

France Trip Review: Lascaux, Winery Tour, Cave Visit, Michelin-Star Restaurants, 6 Nights

This trip could not have been better planned or executed. The transitions were seamless, the hotels were incredible, with Michelin-star restaurants, and the guides were knowledgeable and attentive to our individual preferences. The travel agency Zicasso referred us to could not have prepared a better trip or arranged things any better. They were great.

France Tour Review: Wine Tasting, Local Cuisine, 12-Night Trip

Zicasso's tour operator was good in their organization of this trip. Their mobile phone app was always updated to reflect the latest trip and driver changes, with updates and reminders on the flights as well.

They were very responsive and flexible with queries on changes we wanted to make and would offer suggestions and recommendations whenever it mattered to make the trip a more enjoyable one.

France Vacation Review: Strasbourg, Paris, Bayeux, Amboise, Seine, Versailles, D-Day Beaches, Loire Valley, Dinner Cruise, Bike Tour, Chateau Visit, History, Culture, Local Cuisine, 2-Week Trip

Zicasso provided us with several travel companies to speak with so we could decide the best fit for our trip. This is really important to us in determining which company would best meet our needs. They also provided multiple companies to choose from to select trip insurance. These services really helped save us time in the planning process.

We had a fantastic trip to Strasbourg, Paris, Bayeux, and Amboise. The travel company did an amazing job connecting us with high-quality guides and activities. Our accommodations were well situated and comfortable. The app helped keep us on track and included all of the key information we needed during our itinerary. We would recommend the travel company to others who are planning a trip to France.
