Wildlife and Wilderness Two-Week South Africa Safari

What to expect on this itinerary
From magical canyons to intimate hideouts, this will be the ultimate journey through South African nature, which will come in the form of a two-week safari in five destinations. Wildlife roams South African nature, desert-adapted elephants kick up dust on arid plains, and hippos wallow in ancient wetlands while rhinos and big cats traverse the savannah. After arid Madikwe, Mala Mala will showcase a true Kruger safari, and the opulent Kapama contrasts iSimangaliso before Hluhluwe-iMfolozi completes your natural connection.

Madikwe Game Reserve – A Safari Introduction
Dust whirls in Madikwe, which is a private game reserve in the Kalahari that is near the Botswanan border. You will touch down and initially wonder how anything can survive out here. Ochre dominates the landscape’s color palette, and trees are stripped bare for most of the year. Somehow, upon this arid land, there will be evocative drama for you to witness, and that is why you will be visiting Madikwe. After landing at O.R. Tambo International Airport, you will transfer onto a safari link flight to Madikwe. Your first afternoon and evening are designed to be relaxed. You will check into a luxurious suite that overlooks the plains before beginning your exploration on a slow, late-afternoon game drive.

I sort of pivoted with what we wanted Zicasso’s travel specialist to arrange for us and she handled that change very well. We essentially asked her just to handle the safari part of our trip and sought her input on some other itinerary decisions we had made. She gave us great guidance and, ultimately, we loved the safari lodge she selected.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience and met nice people and professional guides that showed us a small part of your beautiful country. The pace of our stay was very good for older folks. We enjoyed Cape Town and all the sightseeing done with our guide: Table Mountain and the scenic drive to Cape of Good Hope, and the time spent in Franschhoek and the guided tour. The time spent at the game reserve gave us exposure to some of the wild animals that we had never seen but in movies or magazines.
Thanks to Zicasso’s travel specialist and her team for preparing our trip. It was very easy and the Zicasso website works very well.

The South Africa trip was a huge success. Everything planned was wonderful, especially Cape Town and Shamwari!

Zicasso’s travel specialist and his team far exceeded our expectations, making this a trip of a lifetime. Guides and accommodations were superb. Even though Kruger experienced record rains and floods mere weeks before, we were treated to the "Big Five" on our game drives in the neighboring reserves. We cannot think of anything that needed improvement. Thanks to the travel specialist and team!
