Day 1
Lions and Rhinos: Welcome to South Africa
You may have watched the wildlife documentaries about Africa. You probably have preconceptions about what it's really going to look like. Yet you're still shaking your head in astonishment at the pair of White rhinos blocking the road. A few miles earlier it was a lion pride that lounged across the rugged track. Elephants have sauntered past, buffalo seem to hide behind corners, and there was even a spotted predatory cat in the tree. Are you looking for the Big Five? There's a good chance of seeing them all just on the drive to the camp. While you've probably envisaged spotting these wild animals on your African safari, few people predict the abundance of the sightings.
After your international flight, a rep meets you at O.R Tambo International Airport and assists with a transfer onto a short local flight to Kruger National Park. An expert guide is waiting, and what you would call an airport transfer anywhere else, is actually a dramatic first game drive through Big Five country. Depending on your arrival time there will also be opportunity for an afternoon game drive.

Detailed Description
Two of Africa's most exciting destinations combine to create this dream city and safari vacation. You start in untamed safari wilderness, exploring exquisite landscapes that teem with the Big Five and more. Think lion prides, endless rhinos, huge elephant herds, and everything else that captures your imagination about African wildlife. Kruger National Park is one of the continent's largest and most abundant, and you've got a full week of spectacular safari experiences. Then it's off to Cape Town for five days in one of the planet's most beautiful cities. Helicopter rides, vineyard tours, opulent dining, sidecar journeys; this itinerary bursts with unique ways to experience a renowned city. An air of romance is threaded throughout it all. Sleep in the continent's finest lodges, eat at tables for two in the bush, and enjoy private customized tours throughout.
Let's start in Kruger, where the vast landscapes teem with ravenous lions and dramatic safari scenes. It feels almost fictional, the Big Five practically roaming past your private verandah. Private game drives offer intimate encounters, champagne picnics gaze down on predatory cheetahs, and walking safaris take you hand-in-hand through elephant country. For all the excitement, this Kruger safari is also indelibly calm and relaxing. Sit back, relax, pick up a book, and then put it down because a buffalo herd is wandering past. For the first four days you're based in the unparalleled luxury of Sabi Sands, a private part of the park that combines rugged surroundings with opulent interiors. Next you'll spend three days crossing Kruger, with private remote camps completing your absolute immersion in the big game delights of South Africa.
For seven days you'll hardly see another person. That changes as you fly to Cape Town, although the commitment to privacy and getaway remains firmly in place. A deluxe suite at the fabulous five-star Twelve Apostles is your base, views of both mountain and ocean available from the balcony. Romantic vacations are about special experiences and Cape Town revels in its ability to offer the unique. Soar above the city on a private helicopter ride, drive a vintage WWII sidecar to encounters with wild penguins, and meander through endless vineyards. Just like Kruger, Cape Town knows how to move the pendulum from surprise to grandeur.
With stunning safari adventures and unique city experiences, this itinerary showcases two of the continent's finest destinations. It's a vacation that needs to be shared; but not with everyone. Bring your partner and jump into an idyllic, personalized version of Africa.

The trip was the best we have ever had. Africa is a very special place. Zicasso's travel expert did a fantastic job of organizing the itinerary. The only disappointment was that we were not scheduled to see the mass migration across the river.

We had an amazing trip, planned by Zicasso's travel partner. This is the first time I've ever used a travel agent and I'll admit, I was nervous. She took all of our feedback into consideration while planning. I highly recommend!

This was a well-planned trip that was personally rewarding and fulfilling.
This trip provided a great balance of the diverse locations from both countries (Namibia and South Africa).
I chose Zicasso as, at this stage of life, when taking well-deserved vacations, I just want to pay, pack, show up and have everything (accommodations, transportation, domestic and international flights, tours, attention to safety, and additional recommendations) accounted for. And that is exactly what the Zicasso's travel expert provided via her tour agency.
I was able to share my must-haves/nice-to-haves and she customized a vacation package that tended to every detail. It was a wonderful balance of rustic and luxury. It was also our July “birthdaycation” for my aunt and me, and we were surprised at multiple locations with surprise birthday acknowledgements. Birthdays are very special to me, so this was a major “icing” on the cake for me on this vacation.
Although there was a minor “hiccup” on the day of arrival, the travel specialist's “on-the-ground” (local) staff pivoted and quickly and professionally found another option for us for our airport pickup. This shows the mark of a company interested in ensuring the complete satisfaction of their clients.
For the destinations the travel expert specializes in, they will be my first point of contact when looking to make my next vacation destination.
Well done!

The trip was carefully planned and we received optimal assistance throughout the trip and constant availability and monitoring during the journey. Our Zicasso travel agent was very professional and always available to respond to our requests and needs. The choice of hotels was excellent and reflected the expectations. The activities offered in the different locations were very well structured and the guides were of high quality, particularly those in Chobe National Park and Okavango Delta.

Our family had a blast in South Africa, thanks to Zicasso's travel designer. She was meticulous in the planning and gave some good suggestions that worked well for our group. From fast-track tickets up to Table Mountain to food recommendations, she curated an itinerary that made the trip a breeze.
The guide in Cape Town was a wellspring of knowledge. We learned so much about the country from her, from history to economics and culture.
The safari portion of the trip was most memorable. The resort in Hoedspruit was just what the family needed.
We will definitely look up this travel company for future trips.
