Bangkok – At the Center of Bustling Bangkok
Bangkok is a city of captivating history and remarkable culture, embodying an elegant past and fast-paced present. Street vendors mix spicy, sour, and sweet flavors. Lavish hotels rise along the banks of the Chao Phraya River offering unfettered views of passing long-tail boats gliding down the waterway. Your flight lands at Suvarnabhumi Airport, where your private transfer meets you upon arrival. The fragrance of fresh flowers emanates from the Flower Market at Pak Klong Talad. Exotic purple and red hues offer sweet and herbaceous scents for a sensory symphony.
A staggering three-headed elephant statue stands on a pedestal adorning the entrance of the Sumat Prakan Erawan Museum. The statue reaches a height of 95 feet above the bustling streets below. The heads glow pure green from the copper embellishments. You settle into the comforts of your lavish hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your preferred pace. You can make your way along the river and into the canals on a long-tail boat. The fresh water propels the vessel into the antique suburbs that showcase the history of the city through its architecture and lifestyle.
Traditional houses made from teak wood rise along the riverbanks. The slower pace creates a tranquil atmosphere that contrasts the endless bustle of the city center. Houses on stilts stand beside mansions crafted with traditional Thai elements. The tower of Wat Arun soars above the surrounding streets. The spire rises to a height of nearly 230 feet tall and was originally erected in the 18th century. The drifting sunlight washes over the gems and stones blended into the architecture, causing the temple to shimmer in the light like a beacon.

Our trip was to Thailand for almost three weeks. It was a fantastic country to visit. Everything went perfectly right from the start. We are seniors (I'm 90) and, of course, needed help getting around. Zicasso and our travel company made our trip perfect. The guides were amazing. Everything was on time. I can't say enough about how well the whole trip went.

Initially, I was hesitant to plan a private trip to Thailand, as we have always used organized, small-group tours. Since we were traveling as a family group of five adults, each with a very different agenda, I figured it was worth looking into. Zicasso was great and provided three itineraries, but it was one travel specialist who really listened to what we wanted and provided what turned out to be an absolutely perfect experience.
The whole itinerary was so well thought out. Days with heavy physical activities were balanced with a calmer day following. The itinerary was arranged to accommodate specific markets and events we wanted to experience. Our travel specialist or a team member checked in with us every night to let us know pick-up times and the names of our drivers and guides. Choosing hotels alone can be a daunting task and the travel specialist made great choices for us, with our floating hotel in Thailand being an absolute highlight.
As a traveler, I have learned to expect the unexpected and be flexible, yet this trip went perfectly, from communication to airport pick-ups to the guides and the itinerary itself. We were able to enjoy Thailand and our time together without any of the stress that usually accompanies a trip like this. The only thing that could have made this experience better would have been if we could have stayed longer.

The trip was out of this world. All of our guides were super-caring. Our first guides were great; they were fun, super-knowledgeable, and overall, created a great atmosphere. Our second guide was just as fun. He had so many unforgettable adventures set for us. A private dinner on the private island was insane!!! So cool! Bangkok was incredible too. It had its ups and downs, but we made the absolute most of every minute!

We really enjoyed our trip! Zicasso’s travel specialist and the team created an interesting itinerary to match our interests. It was also placed in a travel app that allowed us to access our information at any time.
The travel company suggested a variety of excursions that were excellent! We visited many temples, historic sites, an elephant sanctuary, a national park, went rafting and biking, used a large variety of modes of transportation, and explored large and small cities and towns. Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Drivers/guides always showed up on time.
WhatsApp was used regularly to keep us up to date on excursion details and we also received our in-country flight check-in and plane tickets on the app. We would recommend this travel company for other travelers ready to explore this part of the world.

Thailand was magical from start to finish and the trip plan by Zicasso’s travel specialist was a major contributing factor. Every day brought a new and many times unexpected revelation, a wonderful interaction with the Thai people, and tremendous natural beauty. We feel we saw a good slice of the country in two weeks, from north to south, and the itinerary allowed us to feel and get to know the pulse of the different regions.
