Nusa Dua – Invitation along the Coastline

Bali is an island that has captured imaginations and hearts for more than a millennium. White-sand beaches shine against sapphire waters, and marvelous temples overlook staggering cliffs and reflective ponds. The town of Nusa Dua blends contemporary luxuries with Balinese culture and landscape. Your flight lands at Ngurah Rai International Airport, where your private transfer meets you upon your arrival. The beauty of the island is immediately visible in the blend of emerald jungle canopies and calm waters lapping against the shoreline, whether against limestone cliffs or powdery beaches.

After checking into a lavish resort overlooking the Indian Ocean, you are eager to explore the splendors of Nusa Dua. Cafes and boutique shops frame the main streets. Surfers take to the waters around Pantai Mengiat to bask in the shimmering layers of blue and catch waves curling beyond the reef. You make your way to the marvelous Water Blow, a stunning natural phenomenon set against the rocky coastline at the edge of Nusa Dua.

A walkway passes over the craggy shore that resembles dried coral. The ocean current pushes water into the narrow space along the rock cliff. The pressure builds and builds, until the water erupts like a geyser, splashing down over the rocks and across the walkway before filtering back into the greater ocean body. The mist creates a refreshing air in the tropical warmth. The semi-sweet aroma of the Indian Ocean swirls around you. The majesty of the Water Blow highlights nature’s pure beauty and unbridled power.

Your flight lands at Ngurah Rai International Airport to begin your cultural exploration of island life. Your private transfer greets you at the airport and escorts you to a luxurious resort overlooking the beaches of Nusa Dua. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy the lifestyle of the distinctive district along the southern peninsula. Bask on Geger Beach or visit the stunning Water Blow.

The following morning, your guide meets you at the hotel and escorts you to the sands surrounding Tanah Lot temple, which is situated on a large boulder offshore. Explore the sands around the rock at low tide before venturing to the cliff top temple at Uluwatu. As the sun sets, you watch a traditional dance take place along the edges of the cliff. Next, you begin a magnificent full day tour around the central highlands. Visit the art market at Ubud and the artisan villages specializing in silversmithing and woodcarving. Discover the holy pools at Tirta Empul temple and delight in the shores of Batur Lake, located inside the caldera. In the evening, you return to Ubud and settle into a luxurious hotel in view of the breathtaking countryside filled with rice fields and terraces.

Next, your guide meets you at the hotel and leads you on a full day tour of the villages outside of Ubud. Indonesia Trip Review: Yogyakarta, Ubud, Temples, Snorkeling, Wildlife, 2-Week Tour

Zicasso's travel agent did a wonderful job of arranging seamless, complex transfers from Java to Gili Air to Ubud, Bali, and provided great guides, drivers, and advice, as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot and local currency on arrival. We did have an issue with hotels not reserved until a couple of days ahead and he promptly resolved the problem.

Our agent was a very responsive and prompt communicator. We would recommend!

Our trip to a Bali was simply amazing and it could not have been better. I contacted three agencies about Bali a few years ago, but we didn’t end up going at that time. When we started to plan our Bali trip this year, we contacted Zicasso's tour company because they had been the most helpful the first time around.

Bali / Indonesia Travel Review: Ubud, Sanur, Candikuning, Safari, Rice Fields, Coffee Plantation, Local Cuisine, Culture, 7-Night Trip

The hotel in Sanur was absolutely special! We highly recommend it. The resort in Ubud was also wonderful. The staff were great. We had no idea this town was such a vibrant place and would have loved more time to explore it, possibly from a walkable hotel.

Our guide and driver were wonderful and flexible when we needed to stop for a Diet Coke and iced cappuccino. We also felt that Zicasso's travel company was flexible with our changes as we went.

We did the Bali safari on our transfer day and it was a stop we really enjoyed.

Nice job, all involved!

Indonesia Tour Review: Bali, Kubu, Scuba Diving, Surfing, Boat Ride, Wildlife, 2-Week Trip

Zicasso’s travel specialist and his team were nothing short of amazing. First, planning the trip with him was a pleasure. We had multiple calls and Zoom meetings to refine and discuss our proposed itinerary. His knowledge of the area was invaluable as we made these decisions. After booking, his communication was superb. For example, we wanted to add a private boat day, scuba diving, and surf lessons. He helped us each and every step of the way. When we struggled with the website for visas, his team immediately stepped in and filled everything out for us and sent us the visas. Upon arrival late in the evening, he met us at the airport. This became a pattern as we moved all over Bali. As soon as we would emerge from our private, limo-like vehicle, he would be standing there with a handshake. He was available 24 hours a day during our entire trip. A simple text message to him would get me dinner reservations, late checkout, or early check-in at hotels, etc.

The hotels he selected were spectacular, and the rooms we received were often more of our own compound than a hotel room. Two places we stayed had multiple buildings as our accommodations.

The guides he hired for us were immediately like family members and our driver (who was with us for our entire two-week stay) was really good. Bali has some of the narrowest streets I've ever seen and he piloted our car with extreme skill. By the way, everyone spoke English like it was their first language.

The last detail I'll include (I could go on for pages and pages) was that the travel specialist provided us with a WiFi hotspot with unlimited data for our use during our entire stay, which proved invaluable.

We can't wait to return to Bali and we will definitely use this travel company again.

Bali / Indonesia Vacation Review: Culture, Local Cuisine, Private Surfing, 14-Day Trip

The trip to Bali was absolutely outstanding. I can’t speak more highly of the team from an execution perspective or overall service; it was top-tier. By the time we left, it felt like I had made a mini family and it is a connection I will never forget.

The team was so accommodating, being on time for every single thing we needed, providing constant communication between us and the venue, explaining our credits and experiences, and even moving events around due to the rain. I really appreciated such a hands-on experience so far away from home, and also having some flexibility to venture out on our own.

The tours were amazing and a true embrace of the culture of Bali. I loved how we stopped for local food and shops, and I really think that is always what makes a great experience: local experiences you can bring home with you.

Zicasso's travel agent was such an amazing host and always a complete joy to be around; 10 days, with three cities, is a long time to keep high energy. They were also very accommodating when we decided to add things to our itinerary while we were there, like private surfing, accommodating our snorkeling needs, etc.

The travel specialist also learned what each of us enjoyed very quickly and was able to grab me a personal massage on the beach by four people (lol). We enjoyed some beers together. This was such a memorable experience, including all the pictures and videos he helped take to capture all our memories.

The travel agent also could not have been more accommodating with driving us around everywhere, including to some really late dinners. This made the experience so worth it because we felt safe and knew we had the right accommodations to explore at different times.

The travel consultant greeted us at the airport and at every location where we switched hotels and were introduced to a new city. The ease of navigating these changes was made so seamless and the upgrade on our hotel room was the nicest surprise ever! All the communication from start to finish was top-tier and extremely helpful! This included exchanging money for us so we didn’t have to worry at the airport. Small things like this make your travels so much easier, so you can just enjoy things without thinking. This is the true definition of luxury travel. This is my third time using Zicasso and this was the best-planned and most well-executed trip I have had.

Thank you all for everything!

All my love.

Indonesia Tour Review: Snorkeling, Eco-Lodge, Balinese Dancing, 12 Nights

I travelled with my son Marshall and had a great time. There was a lot of time sitting in airports, but that was the fastest way to get around Indonesia to do all of the things that we wanted to do. We had to go to so many islands! The guides at each stop were fantastic. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and punctual. They also suggested good alternatives to the places we visited that gave us the same experience, with the added plus of not being where there were a lot of tourists.
