Our experience in Morocco was nothing short of amazing, thanks to the very talented team at Zicasso’s travel company. Our family was absolutely delighted with the level of care and attention to detail for each activity and lodging we enjoyed during our nine days in Marrakech, Essaouira, Agafay Desert, and, finally, our hotel in the Atlas Mountains.

Let's start with our driver, who impressed us daily with the way he navigated our very comfortable van through very challenging streets and roadways. We always felt extremely safe with him behind the wheel and he was so nice with our kids! When our youngest started to feel carsick going through the Atlas Mountains, our driver did everything he could to make the journey smooth—drove extra slow, pulled over whenever we asked for a little break, and made sure the car was always stocked with plastic bags and plenty of water. We highly recommend our driver, along with each tour guide arranged through the travel company.

Our travel specialist, and the owner, has assembled a fantastic group of people who clearly love their work. You will leave the country with an authentic cultural experience, not just a stamp in the passport. If you get an opportunity, do the backstreet food tour with our guide in Marrakech. She was so hospitable and introduced us to some truly tasty food. My children (ages seven and 12) even ate snails in the market with us! So yes, try the snails, along with whatever else she recommends.

Another tip: if you want a desert ATV experience, but do not want to trek to the Sahara, please consider visiting Essaouira and book an ATV tour there. There are some impressive sand dunes near the beach and we had an absolute blast trekking over those. The ATV route is gorgeous; you get the beach and the desert landscape in one go.

If you want an overnight desert experience, without going to the Sahara, then absolutely go to the Agafay Desert. A camel ride at sunset was a magical first for our children.

Finally, I want to say that the travel company goes above and beyond if there are travel hiccups. On our final night in Morocco, we received a text from our airline saying our flight had been cancelled (part of the massive Airbus recall). There were zero flights out of Marrakech and we needed to be back in the States in two days. My husband found a flight from Casablanca the next day and the travel specialist graciously provided transportation for us for the three-and-a-half-hour drive. We felt like booking with the our travel specialist was like having extra travel insurance! Sincere thanks to him and the entire team.

For any travelers planning a trip to Argentina, the Salta Region is often overlooked, but was the highlight of our trip. If you enjoy dramatic landscapes, being off the beaten path a bit in small towns with authentic culture and very few tourists, and outstanding wines with breathtaking vineyards, you will enjoy this region. Be sure to hire a driver, arranged by the tour operator, who navigated narrow, windy, gravel and dirt roads with expertise and calm, gave us a wonderful overview of the history and topography of the region, and showed us all the special places and some hidden gems. A wonderful and memorable trip.

Our recent trip to Costa Rica was absolutely amazing. The trip far exceeded our expectations. Our experience was everything we hoped it would be and more. Our trip to the south of France, beautifully curated by Zicasso’s travel company, was truly exceptional. Traveling with my wife and another couple, we experienced the perfect blend of culture, scenery, and relaxation—from the glamour of Nice and Monte Carlo to the rustic charm and vineyards of Provence. Every detail was flawlessly organized: elegant accommodations, knowledgeable private guides, seamless transfers, and thoughtfully designed experiences like the market tour and cooking class in Aix-en-Provence. We had been planning a two-week trip to Spain for most of 2024, researching the different regions, the available transportation options, and the logistics of trying to fit everything we wanted to do and see into two weeks. Once we felt comfortable having an informed conversation, we contacted Zicasso. We had used them for a prior trip to Italy in 2021. We were provided with two quality companies to assist us with planning our trip. Both companies provided us with proposals and itineraries based on our interests.

We chose this Zicasso travel company and could not have been happier with their attention to detail, communication, and customer service. We originally were working with one representative and, over the summer, we received an email introducing our new travel consultant. She immediately contacted us to introduce herself and to let us know that she was there should we need anything before, during, or after the trip. We had a pre-trip video meeting with her to answer some minor logistics questions. Two weeks later, we landed in Spain.

All of the companies selected for our trip, from drivers, guides, and cooking instructors to wineries were fantastic! Travel is more than the things you see and do; it's also about the people you meet while traveling. We thoroughly enjoyed everyone we met. They made us feel welcome and tailored each experience to what we were interested in.

Since our travel consultant lives in Madrid and our final stop was there, we made plans to get together for a drink to discuss our experiences. As we were discussing the trip with her, we realized we were having a hard time picking just one experience, one guide, or one place that was our favorite in each city.

We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted from this trip to Barcelona, Granada, Córdoba, Seville, Ronda, Madrid, and Toledo. The travel company listened to our interests and took to heart what we hoped to get from the trip. They designed and executed a fantastic two-week itinerary based on our budget. We are already thinking about a trip to Northern Spain in the future and our first call will be to the same travel company.

We went for the animals, fell in love with the people.

A safari has been a dream of my husband’s and mine for years, but planning it seemed insurmountable, until Zicasso connected us with our agent and tour operator. Our agent made our dream trip come true, more stunningly than we could ever have hoped. Just as important, she made it easy for us.

From our first phone call with our agent, our confidence in her grew, increasing with each of several iterations of our itinerary. She listened to what we wanted. Because we mentioned loving “Out of Africa,” she booked us two days in Nairobi at the outset so we could visit the Karen Blixen Museum and stay at the hotel nearby. Our time in Nairobi also included visits to the elephant orphanage and a giraffe center, as well as a dinner with family friends. It also provided a chance to get our bearings after the long flight, before transitioning to the actual safari segment of our trip.

Our time in Tanzania began with some moving personal experiences in the village of Mto Wa Mbu, first at a school, ambitiously educating hundreds of eager young students in the face of ever-present resource constraints. Next, we visited three homes, where we were privileged to sponsor small solar electricity installations. These efforts are supported by the agency, in partnership with one of the camps; companies that invest ethically and generously in the people and country. These interactions added a measure of reality, texture, and reflection to what was otherwise a truly luxury safari trip. That day, the campaign motorcade of the president of Tanzania swept through the village while we watched. Our agent had alerted us that it might disrupt our schedule, which it did not. This was just one example of her excellent communication with us before, during, and after our trip.

Prior to leaving home, we wondered how we would connect with our guides and hosts along the way. We were amazed at how seamlessly we were able to make all the transfers. Everywhere we went, there was someone to meet us. Even the seemingly chaotic nature of the small airports didn’t faze us because there was invariably someone looking out for us. The one and only time we didn’t look for our greeter (though she was waiting and looking for us!), another airport employee took us under his wing until the right connection was made.

Every lodging our agent chose for us had its own vibe and all were well-appointed, hospitable, and memorable, with staff focused on our comfort and enjoyment. Our two nights at a tented camp near Ngorongoro Crater afforded an authentic camp environment in an ideal location close to the crater. After giving us an amazing first drive in the crater, our guide bypassed scores of picnickers and drove us to a secluded spot, where five staff members had set up a tent for a private lunch for us, complete with grilled meats and a full bar. Back at the camp that night we put four tables together for dinner with new friends, followed by singing and dancing by the staff. The manager and a few people on the staff stand out, along with the first of many Maasai escorts we met. 

Our second camp was in the Northern Serengeti, a newly-opened camp that our agent selected when a nearby camp wasn’t available. This “Plan B” earned an A-plus! The manager, some of the staff, and especially our dedicated server, as well as many others, took such great care to make our time there special. The chef there was a true talent. The food everywhere was delicious; here it was gourmet. On the third night of four, they upgraded us to the family tent (a fully-equipped, luxurious house). Everything they did seemed to be designed to surprise and delight us. (We joked to ourselves that they might be mistaking us for VIPs.) They welcomed us with song when we arrived and saw us off with more songs, hugs, and exchanges of WhatsApp contact information. 

One morning of our stay in the Northern Serengeti was dedicated to a thrilling hot-air balloon ride, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush. Our agent booked the region’s premier balloon company for our trip.

Our final accommodation was at the lodge in Eastern Serengeti, another delightful camp with welcoming staff, a great gathering space and bar, and delicious food. Our suite was incredible, with full views out into the bush and visits from many animals. Among many wonderful staff members there, the manager and two staff members made big impressions on us. While at this camp, we were treated to two special events, a sundowner out in the bush and, on our last night there, a private dinner under the stars with a cake, singing, and dancing for our anniversary. We ate with our guide in the light of lanterns hanging from trees, under the watchful eye of a spear-carrying Maasai guard and with the sounds of lions and hyenas all around us—magical.

Oh, I suppose I should mention that there were animals! We saw many lions, several cheetahs, a leopard in a tree guarding his kill from hyenas, countless elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, impala, hippos, Pumbaa, baboons, gazelles, and birds of all kinds. Also, one fleeting view of a rhino. And a dramatic Mara River crossing of zebra and wildebeest threading their way through a phalanx of waiting crocodiles. The Great Migration didn’t disappoint. There were so many wildebeest that our guide joked that if anyone asked how many we saw, we should reply, “All of them!”

That guide was the magic man. Fredy was with us for almost our entire time in Tanzania, which meant that on two days he dropped us off at an airport before driving for many hours to meet us at the next destination. He holds an honored place among his peers for his deep knowledge of the land and animals, dedication to guests, sense of humor, infectious laugh and booming singing voice. When he was in the camp, everyone felt his presence. On drives, there were countless instances where he spotted a lion, leopard, or cheetah from a great distance, with no other trucks around. We were able to pull up closer than we thought possible, silently marveling at an animal, pride, or herd without company. Late one afternoon, he stood outside the truck and gave us a surprisingly comprehensive lecture on elephant dung. It turns out he was stalling while the lodge's team set up our sundowner close by! We had a good laugh over that, one of many. Leaving him on the last day felt like saying goodbye to a family member.

It is clear from speaking with staff at all the locations we stayed that our agent is well-known and respected there. They have affection for her and know that she insists on quality experiences for her clients. These strong connections are why she and the agency are equated with the top level of quality in safari planning and execution. We just spent two weeks in Scotland and Ireland, arranged for us by Zicasso’s travel specialists. What a five-star experience! Both of them have traveled extensively in the UK and Ireland, with one having grown up in the UK. They always seemed to know where we wanted to be.

This trip was a bit more challenging due to unexpected spine surgery a mere eight weeks prior to the trip. Between the perfect selection of lovely hotels at all the right locations and the nice people of these two countries, everything was accessible, despite using a walker. We could not have asked for more beautiful vistas, castles, and cultural amenities, ranging from lively Irish pubs to the finest museums (we’re art buffs). We also ate at spectacular restaurants selected by the travel company, in addition to terrific tours tailored to our specific interests.

Not only was the planning for the trip exceptional, but the travel specialists were there for us at a moment’s notice when things went awry. All trains in Scotland were canceled for a day due to 100mph winds from Storm Amy. We were pinned down in Edinburgh (a great place to be trapped) and took in additional sites, while the travel company saw to it that we had a lovely hotel room to spend our extra night in Edinburgh. Many people wound up sleeping in the train station. Our train was rescheduled strategically for the next day by the travel specialists, while we enjoyed Scotland’s National Art Gallery and our vacation continued seamlessly.

The transition from Scotland to Ireland was delightfully easy and our time in Ireland was spent exactly as planned. As I’m unable to drive and did not want my wife to be unable to sightsee while we traveled, the travel company got us (per our request) to far western Ireland and the Aran Islands, where Gaelic languages are still spoken and centuries-old Irish traditions are still maintained. We traveled by train so we could both sit back and take in the beautiful countryside.

There, we used our castle hotel in County Clare as a base for travel by car and enjoyed several days pursuing our own agenda and taking in the splendor of castle living. This was amazing, likely the most elegant place my wife and I have ever stayed, yet the venue had a comfortably casual vibe and an incredibly helpful staff that made accessibility problem-free. We would definitely block out a day just to stay on the castle grounds and enjoy the property and activities if we are able to return.

The Cliffs of Moher were spectacular, as were the Aran Islands, right down to a rainbow which vanished before we could find the “pot of gold” at the end. That being said, we think “the pot of gold” is Ireland itself... the sites, the people, the music, the food… the list is endless. We cleared US Customs in Shannon so we were able to fly to the US with no TSA or customs issues.

We returned to find an itinerary summary prepared by the travel specialists for submission to our travel insurance company for any storm-related refunds that the travel company had not already arranged for us. Simply a wonderful, stress-free trip, with the travel company at work continuously to assure that the experience was optimal, and it was five-star from start to finish. We can’t extend a higher recommendation to Zicasso’s travel specialists for a wonderful, intimate tour of the UK and Ireland.      

To start off, if you’re considering Scotland, consider no more, book it! This was one of the best vacations of my life. Flying into Edinburgh was a rush! Thick cloud coverage kept the city and surrounding area a secret until the plane’s wheels practically touched down. From that point on, Zicasso's travel specialist and his team had us on the move.

After getting our rental car from the airport car rental (fantastic service, by the way), we headed to our first historical site of many, Linlithgow Palace. When I say it takes your breath away, I mean it! It was everything I hoped for and more.

I won’t go into all the details of where we went because we went all over. Instead, I’ll say this: the tour operator had us staying at the best, most unique, and charming accommodations, took care of all our palace, castle, tour, and attraction tickets, handled restaurant reservations, and set us up with the best tour guide for Edinburgh I’ve ever had. Our guide was fabulous! I could’ve spent a week listening to her teach us about Scotland’s deep, rich, immense history and culture. I cannot wait to return to this gorgeous country and will absolutely use the tour operator’s service again. Highly recommended!

Our trip to Peru was truly a dream come true, and I can’t say enough great things about Zicasso's travel specialist. From start to finish, everything went incredibly smoothly. Zicasso's travel specialist asked for our interests, to which we replied history, art, food, and wine. When queried about accommodations, our preferences were that they have character and be varied. Our expectations were exceeded.  

We were two couples who had a spectacular survey trip of Italy. Our agent addressed our request for history by arranging private tours with expert guides. We visited multiple eras: ancient times at the Egyptian Museum in Turin and the Colosseum in Rome; medieval times at the Medici palazzos; Byzantine times with views of the frescoes in Puglia; and modern history during a delightful food tour of Turin that featured historical cafés renowned for their political meetings and plotting. 

We indulged in a smorgasbord of art and history, as it is readily available wherever you journey in Italy. The guides and drivers were knowledgeable, pointing out treasures in the palazzos, the Vatican, the public squares, cafés, the cathedrals, and churches. Food tours featured cheese, capicola and truffle tasting. Multiple types of wines and vineyards were sampled, the settings varied and the offerings enjoyed.  

Accommodations could not have been better chosen. We enjoyed staying at a converted fortified monastery and a historic 16th-century palace. We appreciated the sunset over Turin from the upper deck of the hotel and enjoyed hidden privacy in Rome in our suites.  

During the trip, our guide shepherded this complex trip and promptly addressed any issues that occurred (delayed trains and coordinating tour guides). Unequivocally, each tour was unique and well picked by our agent. We strongly recommend this agency to help you have a fantastic trip to Italy! 

My husband and I are back from a blockbuster trip to Greece and its perfection was due in no small part to Zicasso's travel agent. I never want to plan another trip without Zicasso’s travel specialist. I don’t think I would have been able to actually enjoy my trip if I had had to organize all of the logistics. There was such a peace of mind knowing the tour operator's team was paying attention to every message, every request, and every detail. Each person we interacted with was knowledgeable, kind, and professional, from the team members themselves to the professionals they hired for the excursions (i.e., drivers, guides, etc.).

We had extremely high hopes for our first trip to Italy and Zicasso’s travel agent and the entire tour operator vastly exceeded all of our expectations! From the way they took our input on our likes/dislikes and created a perfect two-week itinerary for my wife and I for our 10-year wedding anniversary to the way they covered every logistical aspect of the trip to ensure that even though we were traveling to five cities over a two-week period, we never experienced any type of stress.

The only time we even had to touch our bags was getting on/off the trains! Our trip to Spain with Zicasso’s travel company was absolutely incredible from the start. Leading up to our departure, the travel company was exceptionally responsive and attentive, helping us design a personalized itinerary that was perfectly suited to our interests. Every element of the journey, from transportation to guided tours, ran flawlessly. Midway through our trip, however, we experienced an unexpected medical emergency that required hospitalization and ultimately a medical air evacuation back to the United States. What could have been an unmanageable and chaotic situation became bearable only because of the unwavering dedication of this travel company. They were available around the clock, often making three, four, or more changes per day to our hotel, car, and train arrangements as our situation evolved.

Even beyond our original itinerary dates, they continued to provide support, ensuring every logistical challenge was handled swiftly and compassionately. This travel company didn’t just plan a wonderful trip—they stood by us during one of the most stressful experiences of our lives, providing a foundation of calm organization and genuine care that was truly invaluable. We chose our agency through Zicasso Travel, which offered us two options for travel agencies that specialized in Greek vacations. What a marvelous choice! Our travel consultant was phenomenal. To get started, we answered a few simple questions to help her get a sense of our travel desires and what we were looking for in our vacation. She came back to us with a draft itinerary, which we then spent several months exchanging emails on and talking on the phone.

She was extremely patient (we are particular in our travel preferences), helping us to understand our options and explaining the pros and cons of the ideas we had about this trip. Her extensive knowledge of Greece and the various vacation points was crucial in helping us finalize our itinerary. Our final itinerary did not take us to all of the places we initially identified because our travel consultant helped us to understand that our timeline was not sufficient for us to visit all those places and still be happy about our vacation choices. She ensured our final itinerary was far superior to our initial, self-devised plans. Simply, the itinerary she developed was perfect!

For a 12-day visit to three places in Greece, our travel consultant incorporated our ideas and personal preferences into an itinerary that allotted just the right amount of time for us to see and do what we wanted. Throughout our trip, she called us to make sure we were pleased with our activities and hotel accommodation, and to assuage our concerns and keep us updated about an impending transit workers' strike.

The travel agency used a user-friendly travel app (and provided a burner phone for local use) to ensure we had ready access to contacts, itinerary plans and changes (quickly updated), and details about our trip. This allowed for easy communication with her team, on the fly, to adjust the itinerary when changes were necessary due to weather or because of self-initiated preferences. This included producing the perfect restaurant recommendation for lunch on the morning we were being driven from Athens to Preveza!

A member of our travel consultant's team was our primary point of contact for these changes. He was incredibly flexible and conscientious about keeping us informed and making the changes we requested or that were recommended due to weather conditions. Many thanks to him (and his back-up) for always being available and meeting our "every" need.

Also, another member of the team's assistance and accommodations ensured smooth and uneventful payment processing. Every transfer was seamless, including streamlined—VIP—processing through Heraklion International Airport, and the private tour guides our travel consultant arranged for us were exceptional. One, in particular, stood out: she worked around weather and scheduling challenges, personally escorted us up the several hundred steps to the Zalongo, and timed our visits to archeological sites to avoid “bus tours.” We pretty much felt like we had the sites “all to ourselves!” The expertise of all of the tour guides was superb; our guide's services were exceptional.

The service we received from our travel consultant and her team was the best. For sure, when we plan our next trip to Greece, we will be using their services.

Our heartfelt thanks to Zicasso’s travel designer and her team at Zicasso’s tour operator for planning our recent trip to Germany. It’s been a lifelong dream to see the places that my father so lovingly described during his years stationed in the army in Stuttgart. She took the time to listen to our reasons for planning the trip and understood the selected towns. The planning and preparation in the months leading up to the trip did not disappoint. She helped us map out the trip and maximize our time in Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich, and Garmisch.

In terms of bookings, she selected excellent hotels that were centrally located, elegant, and had all the comforts of home. In each of the cities, she linked us to guides who were knowledgeable, insightful, and fun. Transportation arrangements were smooth and easy, either on the ICE train, boat ride, or car service.

Our guide to the Cannstatter festival in Stuttgart was fantastic. He grew up in Stuttgart and was able to tell us the history of it, teach us a proper German toast, and offered us great places to dine afterwards.

Our guide and driver from Munich to Garmisch took us to Neuschwanstein Castle and then surprised us with additional stops along the way in a small village to learn of the local culture and churches. Our last stop of the day was at a monastery. We enjoyed a fabulous piece of Black Forest cake. During this time, he asked us how we were able to book through this travel company. We explained about Zicasso and he expressed his delight that we were able to book a small, authentic company versus the big-box tour. He was right.

Our travel designer customized the trip to us and no cookie cutter. She was very flexible when there was a last-minute change to the itinerary due to a winery closing unexpectedly early. She made the arrangements happen quickly and it enabled us to meet with the wine maker at a winery in Stuttgart and spend a morning on the patio wine tasting with him.

Our last leg of the trip was Garmisch. I am not sure if she was the one to order the spectacular weather (I wouldn’t put it past her abilities), but the clouds cleared and the trip up the Zugspitze was breathtaking. Such a delight and change from the bigger cities.

At the end segment of the trip, my husband was more and more impressed with the quality of the trip: tours and hotels that I was able to book with our travel designer's guidance. I could not be more pleased with the experience of the trip and the work she put in to make this dream trip a reality. Thank you for helping me connect to my father’s time in Germany. Our driver was the best we could have hoped for—a great driver, personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and a wonderful person. When you sign up to spend two weeks with someone, the chances of that not being wonderful are certainly there, but it could not have worked out better with our driver.

Back to the arrangements made by the tour operator; all of the accommodations were wonderful, often exceeding our already high expectations, all of our local guides were great—as good or better as we have had anywhere, and the special meals and activities (such as the cooking class) were great. Everything was just totally five stars across the board.

Finally, there were several small touches from the tour operator that were totally unexpected, but really appreciated. It was a fabulous company to work with!

Our Scandinavian trip was so fantastic that I wish I could give Zicasso's travel agency and our agent 100 stars!!! Even that would not be enough. Everything was perfect, from transportation to hotels to excursions to tour guides, etc.

Zicasso’s tour company did an excellent job, from start to finish, planning our trip to Germany! The itinerary they planned was just wonderful and because of them, we truly enjoyed our trip! Everything was taken care of, from the time we arrived in Frankfurt until we left from Munich.

They gave us a printed itinerary of our entire trip, which included hotel vouchers, train tickets, tour tickets, and everything else we needed. This is the first time that has ever happened in any of our trips. They gave us a daily update on our drivers and guides. They made sure we were informed of any changes. We also had access to them via WhatsApp and they were always available whenever we had questions or concerns.

This was the most stress-free vacation we've ever had! They took care of everything for us! We got to meet the staff at Oktoberfest and they were just wonderful! Our 30th anniversary trip was an experience of a lifetime. From the moment we arrived at Denpasar International Airport and were met by Zicasso’s travel designer and his amazing team, we were in the hands of professionals who made our trip so enjoyable and educational.

The travel designer, with our input, arranged a journey through Bali that allowed us to experience the true heart of this country. We traveled daily with our guide, a man who truly loves Bali and its people. His wisdom flowed to us at each stop and he never tired of us asking question after question. We were met each morning with his enduring smile that never ceased to fade, no matter the length of our days.

As our trip unfolded, with the travel designer's advanced planning, we saw the real, true Bali, venturing to the countryside, away from clubs, touristy crowds, and selfie sticks. Each day filled our hearts with the Balinese people, for whom we came to love and now consider our family in Indonesia.

This trip was the best vacation my husband and I have ever taken! Zicasso's travel designer was excellent; he was very knowledgeable and planned the perfect itinerary. I would book another trip with him in a heartbeat! I told him we wanted to go to Barcelona and the activities we wanted to do. He was spot-on with the initial itinerary and we only needed to make minor adjustments based on additional recommendations he had.

The entire trip was very well planned out and everything went off perfectly. I wish I could do this trip all over again!

We stayed the first three nights in Llafranc, Costa Brava, which is a very lovely seaside town that our travel designer suggested. The hotel there was beautiful, pristine, and right on the beach. We went for a wonderful hike, took a day trip to the Dalí Museum, and had a wine tasting at a smaller vineyard that he suggested rather than a large, touristy one. Here, we had a private tour and tasting with the host. On our way to Barcelona we had a tour of Girona, where it was very interesting to see and learn about the history. We loved the hotel in Barcelona. It was in a great location, with many good restaurants nearby, and was also beautiful and pristine. The first night in Barcelona we saw a flamenco show that was incredible and the next day we saw Park Güell and La Sagrada Família. In the evening, we did a tapas tour through five restaurants that was so much fun. The next day, we had a cooking class, which was one of our favorite activities of the trip. The last day, we took a bus trip out to Montserrat, which is well worth seeing and only about an hour outside the city.

I was able to be in communication with our agent throughout the trip. He was always available for questions and also gave us recommendations for restaurants and bars to go to. He also made dinner/lunch reservations as needed.

All of the private guides that were hired were excellent: our guide who did our hike, our guide who took us to the Dalí Museum and Girona, and our guide who showed us Park Güell and La Família Sagrada. They were all so knowledgeable and enjoyable to be with. Even the guides when doing group activities were amazing: our guide who did the cooking class, our guide who took us to Montserrat, and our guide who did the tapas tour.

I appreciated that although our itinerary was busy, our travel designer made sure there was still free time to explore on our own. He was a pleasure to work with and made this vacation so special. The whole process of planning was very easy because of his expertise. I will definitely use him and the tour company for future trips!

Austria was spectacular! It really blew us away and the trip and country as a whole exceeded our expectations.

In advance, setting up the itinerary with Zicasso's tour operator was seamless—they were very prompt to change details and move things around to give us the exact trip we had in mind. The interactive itinerary web pages they generated were great—we could look through the timeline and fill in comments with our thoughts/suggestions on each item, making for an easy back-and-forth.

We loved the pace and layout of our trip—it gave us enough time to relax and do some exploring of our own, while at the same time hitting all the highlights of each city we visited. The hotels chosen were exceptional and exactly what we were looking for. All of the guides and drivers chosen by the tour operator did a great job and we liked receiving the information of our guide/driver the night before, with a contact number and confirmation. Throughout the trip, the tour operator checked in multiple times and was readily available to assist with any problems or questions.

Highlights were the city tour in Vienna, seeing an opera in Vienna, Wachau Valley scenery (although in hindsight, we should have spent more time here!), Innsbruck town, and our favorite—a day hike in the Alps.

My husband and I traveled with our two adult children for 12 days through Portugal. Our trip was absolutely amazing, with every transfer, lodging, and tour detail seemingly tailored especially for us. I wanted to make a special note of recognition about our transfer drivers/guides: they were absolutely amazing; so experienced and warm. We all enjoyed learning from them about Portugal and just felt so very well taken care of as they seamlessly transported us through your beautiful country and made sure we knew where to go and where to meet later. One of our drivers walked us through a local pastry shop to see the pastries being made; without him, we would have surely missed that experience. In Douro, another driver recommended a "locals" restaurant down the hill from our hotel. The owner was so kind he arranged for our server to drive us up the steep and winding hill to our hotel! These "special" experiences so reminded us of our beautiful Hawai'i and the spirit of "aloha" we felt so strongly in Portugal! At our departure, another driver walked us with our luggage into the airport departure terminal and showed us where to go (it was so much larger than any terminal we had been in). We would surely have been lost without his expert guidance.

Your tour guide selections were all simply amazing. We felt each guide's love ("aloha" for us) and attachment to each place we visited. We cannot thank you enough for all your work in planning so that we could truly enjoy and now have lasting memories until we return again.

The trip was excellent! Zicasso's travel expert did an extraordinary job in planning and coordinating our trip to Turkey for six people. We had numerous Zoom meetings with her to work out the details of the trip and she worked with all individuals within the group.

Upon arrival in Istanbul, we met our tour guide. He was with us every day during the next 21 days of our trip. We couldn't have had a better tour guide. I really don't know where to start. The trip to Italy was nothing short of awesome. The planning Zicasso's travel designer did for us was beyond our expectations. Every hotel was absolutely beautiful, perfectly located, and made available to us everything we needed and even beyond that. All hotel personnel were friendly, professional, helpful, and genuinely wanted our experience to be perfect.

Our drivers were waiting for us, clearly visible, friendly, and accommodating, including water, etc., in the vehicle. They answered all questions and made suggestions that were very helpful.

Our last tour was the private boat to Capri. The team from the boat tour company made that day exceptionally fun with their personalities and knowledge, and catered to our every whim. It truly was a day of paradise.

I want to state that all of the tour guides and drivers were exceptional. Everyone would get a five-star review for their contribution to our trip.

Again, I want to thank our travel designer and all who were involved in planning this trip and following us all along the way each day, providing our itineraries, making suggestions for dinner, etc., and making changes to accommodate the weather.

I would also like to note that the order in which the trip was planned was perfect. We toured all the cities, with lots of walking and absorbing the history, etc., and then ended our trip in Sorrento, where we relaxed, enjoyed a full day on our boat tour, and swam in the Mediterranean. And let's not forget the shopping!!!

It was a fantastic two weeks in the Balkans! Zicasso's travel designer worked with us to organize a trip that met all of our expectations. Wow, where to begin. This trip was an absolute dream.

When I first spoke to Zicasso’s travel consultant, I told her my main travel concern: traveling with nine- and 15-year-old boys as a single mom in Italy. I was excited to take the trip with them, but I really needed something that was meticulously planned to take away the nerves of having to navigate alone with two kids. She listened and executed the most beautiful trip.

She planned activities that captured the attention and imagination of a fourth grader and a teenager. And the experiences were unique. Probably the highlight of the trip was a truffle hunt with the hunter and his dog in the countryside outside of Florence. My oldest wants to move to Florence and start hunting! We had a personalized cooking class, a private Vespa tour of Rome, and a delicious and informative art and food tour, among other amazing experiences. As we were sending photos back home, I got so many requests for our itinerary because it was so special and unique. Both boys were hard-pressed to choose which part they liked best.

The hotels she selected were beautiful, comfortable, and right in the heart of the cities and attractions we wanted to see. When we encountered a small hiccup (by our hotel, not our travel agent), I contacted her and she responded right away, getting us a free room upgrade and free dinner! We felt very taken care of.

We celebrated my daughter's high school graduation with a 12-day trip to Costa Rica. I also want to give a special shoutout to my driver, who drove my family on several long road trips during our vacation. During our drives, he would spot many interesting animals and birds, and stop on the side of the road so we could get out and get great pictures. Some of my best close-up opportunities to look at animals occurred while in the car. He talked about the agriculture, the school system, and the different rainforests. He even bought plantain chips from the side of the road and shared them with my family. Even though his job was to drive us from point A to point B, I felt his knowledge and his ability to spot animals was better than many of the tour guides we had on the trip. He really cared about Costa Rica and was excited to show us all it had to offer.

There aren't enough superlatives to describe our safari. Every single aspect exceeded expectations. The Zicasso trip designer, who handled the in-country arrangements, was terrific, and literally every arrangement went smoothly. A few last-minute changes on the front and back end were handled effectively. 

Each of the camps was different, but wonderful in its own way. We liked the variation. The accommodations were great and the food was great. But the people – hosts, driver/guides, spotters, service personnel were really great – friendly, fun, helpful, enjoyable to be with, and really great. It's difficult to put into words how much we enjoyed being with them and with each other (me, my five adult children, and their spouses). And the wildlife and landscapes, again, quite different over the three camps, were spectacular. Every game drive was a much-anticipated adventure and the guides were, to a person, superb in helping us understand the animal behaviors we observed. 

There is nothing we would have done differently and we were constantly amazed at how smoothly everything worked out (literally no hitches, even minor ones), how much fun we had with each other and our hosts, and how much the people we were with contributed to our experience. I'm not given to hyperbole, but I'm left without words to describe how great the experiences we had were and how seamless the arrangements seemed to be.

The trip exceeded our expectations! We’ve been home several days and we continue to reflect back on how this was probably one of our best vacations, and that’s saying a lot since we enjoy traveling. As a point of context, I am a retired corporate executive who traveled 250K to 500K miles per year over the last 15 years of my career. I had the advantages of executive assistants, a corporate travel department, and extensive administrative support. Even with all those advantages, this trip planner and his team set a new standard of excellence. My trip planning covered Antarctica, Argentina, and Brazil destinations over a five-week trip. The full trip was for my wife and me, with an additional two-week block for my two children to join us partway through the vacation. He also helped to arrange the holiday for another couple who were supposed to accompany us, but they had a medical emergency occur before the departed. This necessitated a great number of changes and cancelations, which he handled, seemingly without any problems and without any complaints.

I had only traveled to that part of the world in a business capacity before, so I was entirely reliant on our travel agent, not just for the physical arrangements, but to also take the time to understand our interests, curiosities, and desired outcomes. He brilliantly translated that into choices and recommendations that I truly cannot complain about. He is so wired into the hotels, travel options, restaurants, sites, and culture of Argentina, Brazil, and Antarctica that we were blown away by his skills and knowledge. He arranged boutique experiences, personal guides, and superior transportation at all stops. There were no gaps in our travel coverage and I was 100% confident in all of our day-to-day experiences. He knew of things that I never would have discovered on my own. The ease of communicating with him was superior. He always responded to our queries within hours and even had a direct U.S. telephone number so I did not even have to pay for long-distance phone calls.

Our experience so far exceeded my already high expectations that we want to return to Argentina again, and we want to find a way to employ his services again to plan future trips to South America and Africa. Also, each person he had us interact with (drivers, guides, and support staff) was unbelievably capable, but also displayed exuberance and superior customer-service attitudes. Potential problems were non-existent.

We just returned from the most unforgettable two-week adventure through Greece, all thanks to the exceptional planning and care of Zicasso's travel operator and her team! From the moment we landed until our final farewell in Athens, every detail was flawlessly executed.

We had a great time on our trip and were thrilled with the service Zicasso’s tour operator provided. We had a few snafus during our trip – weather, the country-wide blackout, and a forgotten passport – but our agent was on top of it and made sure we were taken care of so we could continue the enjoyment of our trip without worry.  

We particularly loved our guide in Lisbon – she was fantastic, with just the right balance of history, fun, and energy. And even though in Porto we had a very rainy day, we went forward with our sidecar tour with our guide. He was a total joy to hang out with and even in the rain, we had a great time. The Douro Valley trip was also fantastic with our guide, who was very knowledgeable and kind.  Even the transfer drivers who were arranged for us were spectacular. There was not one failure in customer service. 

The hotels in Lisbon and Porto were also excellent – great choices and so comfortable. All in all, I recommend Zicasso’s travel company and agent to plan anyone’s trip! You can’t go wrong!

We just experienced amazing service and flawless execution on our custom-designed, 22-day itinerary from Zicasso’s travel company. Every single meeting went smoothly, with white-gloved drivers waiting for us beside luxury vehicles and guides who always went above and beyond. In fact, after leaving a shopping bag in a cab in Tokyo, we were blown away when our travel agency was able to track it down and deliver it back to our hotel. But that's not even the best part. The best part was the experiences. Our agent and the staff at the travel company really found the authentic, less-traveled experiences we love.

Tokyo and Kyoto were amazing, with private tours of gardens, temples, and the best local food. We did washi paper making at a 400-year-old workshop and a private calligraphy lesson, attended a real sumo practice, walked the bamboo forest, and dressed in kimonos for tea service.

But our most memorable experiences were found in Niigata, where we stayed in a lovely ryokan and were served dinner on the tatami mat in our room. We slept soundly with the relaxing sound of the hot spring water flowing in our private bath. 

In Yamagata, where we spent the day with an enchanting Yamabushi guide, climbing sacred Mount Haguro and learning about the life of connection with nature that he chose. We loved it when he blew his conch shell horn to scare away the demons as we entered new parts of the forest. 

And in Okinawa, we had the most interesting Blue Zones cooking class and lunch with Yukie Miyaguni, who appeared in the Netflix documentary about longevity and medicinal foods, and looks 25 years old at 55. We also learned about the ancient art of sabani making and spent an afternoon on the beautiful clear waters in one, visiting pristine, remote beaches and collecting beautiful pink shells.

It was these unique, enlightening experiences, away from crowds and tourists, that showed us the real Japan we wanted to see. Our agent understood what we wanted and provided the absolute perfect mix of luxury (every accommodation exceeded our expectations, with club lounge access in Western-style hotels), adventure, and top-shelf service. It was perfect.

I was extremely impressed with how well organized Zicasso was; every detail was perfect. I was extremely impressed by how Zicasso checked in with us every day of our trip to see if we had any issues. The hotels, drivers, and tour guides were all top-notch.

The accommodations were perfect for us – the Cape Town hotel with its proximity to the V&A Waterfront and the boutique guesthouse in Franschhoek, which was also within easy walking distance to restaurants and the wine tram. The safari lodge was incredible – the food, service, safari drives, and our very comfortable glamping tent. The other lodge was also very comfortable, with great customer service.  

Our tour guide in Cape Town was the best – very knowledgeable, accommodating, and personable – and truly worked to make our trip extra special. The foodie tour was great – the most food we have ever had on a trip – with nice variety and local selections.

Our experience in Portugal was wonderful. Our family of four loved the tours, places to stay, the history, and the wonderful driver/guides. We cannot speak highly enough of our Zicasso travel planner and her colleagues. This was our second trip using a Zicasso travel agent and we were confident our trip would be a wonderful experience, and it was. Our tour guides were very flexible. They went above and beyond showing us the places they loved… "Their beautiful Portugal". It was a fantastic trip from start to finish! We had the pleasure of working with Zicasso’s travel agents to create the perfect Italian adventure. I had quite a few specific requests, from travel logistics to hotel preferences, and they were incredibly patient and collaborative, offering multiple variations of the itinerary until it matched exactly what we envisioned.

Our journey began in Venice, where we were seamlessly picked up by a private driver, transferred to a water taxi, and dropped directly at our hotel. After a wonderful stay, we were taken by private driver to the train station for our ride from Venice to Florence, our one and only train trip, as we opted (based on their smart recommendation) for private transportation for the rest of our travels to avoid potential delays and enjoy added convenience.

From Florence, we were driven into the Tuscan hills, where we experienced magical wine tastings, vineyard tours, olive oil tastings, and unforgettable meals with wine pairings. 

Next, our private driver brought us to Pompeii, where we enjoyed a fascinating tour with our private guide, and then continued on to Rome. In Rome, we loved the private golf cart tour of the city’s major landmarks, as well as a delightful cooking class that was arranged for us; it was a real highlight!

Finally, we traveled by private driver to Sorrento. From there, we had a breathtaking driving tour of the Amalfi Coast, a lemon farm tour, and an amazing day trip to Capri. Every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed.

Our trip to Colombia was our third travel experience arranged via Zicasso. As was the case with our previous two trips, this one was managed nearly flawlessly from start to finish with the kind of attentive customer care we have become accustomed to with Zicasso and their partners.

The agent from our travel company went above and beyond in assisting us with all our planning, providing insights and recommendations only someone who has experienced Colombia fully can provide. She was very patient in helping us make adjustments to arrive at the perfect itinerary and then remaining in constant contact to ensure every minor detail was handled perfectly throughout our journey.

Our drivers and tour guides made sure we were greeted and escorted through each destination, from Medellín to Bogotá to Cartagena and our final destination on Isla Barú. While many friends expressed concern over our safety in Colombia, I can say we did not feel unsafe for a moment. The Colombia of today is no longer one riddled with crime and drugs, but rich in culture and charm.

We greatly enjoyed the thriving art scene of Comuna 13 and the nightlife of Medellín. Our hotel made us feel like we were in the middle of the rainforest, while just steps away from the bustle and excitement of the Poblado district. Our visit to a wonderful coffee plantation provided a full education on every step of the coffee-making process, from the berries on the tree all the way to a delicious cup, delivering a new appreciation for black coffee. I may only drink Colombian from now on.

Bogotá proved to be a modern city with an incredible food scene. Our agent arranged an amazing gastronomical tour for us one evening that catered to our dietary needs. We attended an amazing wedding on top of an old portside fort in Cartagena and enjoyed the charm of the old walled city before relaxing on a pristine beach off the coast, then heading home to tell everyone to hurry down to see all Colombia has to offer.

I can only say, Zicasso is the only way to plan your travel, whether alone or with a small group. For those considering Colombia, our in-country travel company carries my strongest endorsement.

Zicasso’s travel agent cares passionately about his clients. I used his company for a three-week Aegean odyssey in March-April 2025. My special request was to have a meal with a local family in their home. He arranged for immersive cooking with two families in Türkiye and Greece. He has an outstanding roster of local guides who provided private tours in Istanbul, Cappadocia, Kuşadası, Santorini, and Crete. All the guides were personable and knowledgable, and we had fun with day(s) filled with laughter. I mentioned to one that the hotel was going to charge 50 euros for laundry. He arranged his local laundry to do it for less than $10.

Our travel company pays attention to details, having the influence to get me upgraded rooms with spectacular balcony views of the Parthenon and Aegean Sea. The hotels were in strategic locations, with easy walking to restaurants, shopping, and points of interest. He ensured I had “fast pass”, so I went into the shorter security lanes at the airports. The vehicles were either Mercedes-Benz vans, sedans, or other nice SUVs for more room and better views.

For me, it is when things go sideways that one learns the value of a good travel specialist. On the day I was to fly from Athens to Santorini, all the transportation workers in Greece went on strike for 24 hours. There were no planes or ferries. That causes cascading problems. My agent arranged for me to spend the extra night in the same Athens hotel, got a new flight to Santorini the next day, even though the flights were very full, had the room ready for me in Santorini when I arrived early in the morning, and had the transfers waiting for me. I did not worry, as I knew I would be taken care of. The day before the strike, I was talking with other tourists who were scrambling to make arrangements when the internet and phone lines were jammed. The peace of mind was immeasurable.

We just returned from a spectacular three-week journey through South America (Peru, Chile, and Argentina) and, once again, Zicasso, along with our trip planner, delivered an unforgettable experience. This was our second time using Zicasso and it’s clear why we keep coming back.

After 15 years of vacationing on small, live-aboard, scuba-diving ships around the world, we wanted our first land-based tour to be extraordinary. We sought a plan to include all drivers, transfers, and hotels, and an itinerary to include private walking and car tours of culturally significant sites and museums. Our goal was to cover, on our first trip to Scotland, the Scottish lowland and highlands, significant city centers, as well as the legendary palaces, lochs, castles, and museums. Moreover, my husband requested we focus on the Pict time period, especially the carved stones, swords, and other fighting devices used throughout the last 3,000 years of Scotland’s “recent” past.  

Our travel company was one of three firms we solicited for a proposal on a luxury vacation in Scotland. Only this Zicasso company hit these targets out of the box with a much better agenda than the competition and very competitive pricing. Moreover, their tour included a recommendation for a two-hour sword-fighting lesson, followed the next day by a visit to a private sword-fabricating forge!!

We returned home four days ago from our remarkable 13-day trip. The highlights of our trip are too exhaustive to even list. Three fantasy-fulfilling high points comprised three nights in a luxury castle bed and breakfast on the west coast, and visits to Inner Hebrides islands, including Iona, where I purchased two sterling Celtic penannular brooches. This was topped off with the commissioning of two swords from the forge, a Claymore and a basket hilt to be custom made using ancient techniques that will result in a pair of one-off customized designs including scabbard carvings and decorated multi-layer battle-ready blades.  

Overall, the tour used amazing guides, including two who wore kilts and full Scottish dress throughout their tours, provided a plethora of castles, and enough alone time to explore the local area and relax while eating the best meat and seafood imaginable, culminating end-to-end in the best vacation of our lives!!

Based on our experience, I cannot entreat you strongly enough to at least get an offer of services from this travel company. We submit you will not be disappointed in the offer or the fulfillment.

This trip and Zicasso's tour company were totally amazing! This travel company was so very professional in all aspects that we were blown away by them. They delivered exactly what they said they would. The staff were so easy to work with and the travel guides were awesome. We would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about a trip to Iceland!!

All aspects of our trip were extraordinary. From the first conversation with Zicasso’s trip planner, I knew she was the right person to plan our Ecuador experiences. She understood that we wanted to avoid crowded tourist attractions, preferring to interact with locals and the flora and fauna that surround them. 

Our guide made these things possible, taking us to eat at some of his favorite cafés as we traveled from Quito to the hotel near Nanegalito, and later from this one to the one in Imbabura. He was more than a guide, catering to all of our needs and sharing his personal contact information with us should we have any problems along our journey. He was an excellent guide. Although he was raised in the cloud forest region, he was knowledgeable and loves the entire country and its history. He could answer any question about the indigenous population, religious practices, food, or sports. As an academician, I recognized his teaching potential. He could be a professor one day.

Zicasso's tour operator really delivered in "Zicasso style" on our three-day stay in Tokyo. We had one very knowledgeable and fun guide for our full visit. That allowed our group to get to know her and she us! We really enjoyed our private yakatabune sail. It was a fun boat with great food and an open bar! And the ramen sampling trip the evening before was informative and fun! All in all, we had a very relaxing and fun time in Tokyo following our two-week travels through the Pacific.

The Zicasso agency provided great services and was very responsive. The drivers and guides were excellent. However, the itinerary felt a bit rushed, as I didn't realize that many places require an hour to two hours of driving. This didn't leave us enough time to explore each site thoroughly. Additionally, due to the season, some places were closed or closed early. We appreciated how quickly our driver and tour guide found alternatives for us. 

Another aspect we would have appreciated was more historical context and background stories about each location, as this would have added depth to the experience. 

Overall, we had a good time and all of the tour guides and drivers were very personable, making the journey enjoyable.

The Zicasso travel company was incredible to work with. My wife and I booked our honeymoon to Sri Lanka through them. The booking experience was incredibly smooth; our travel agent worked with us throughout to ensure we had the trip that we wanted. She was always responsive and attentive, and always available, even to set up phone conversations, despite the 11-hour time difference. Everything about our trip was also truly amazing; all of the experiences were wonderful and all of the local guides they set us up with did a great job. Not only were they very knowledgeable and interesting, but they were very friendly and we had a great rapport with all of them by the end of our tours.

I really can't recommend traveling to Sri Lanka enough and using this company if you're looking for a travel agency. My wife and I were already trying to figure out how we could come back by the end of our trip!

And patient too, going through several revisions. It was a concierge service! Then, when one of us needed to be hospitalized, the travel specialist jumped in to facilitate communications, arrange extra nights in hotels, and then recover what refunds were possible for the final two weeks we had to eliminate from the trip. You will not find a better tour operator!!

1. I was considering canceling the Sahara visit due to my wife's recent back injury. I figured it might not be worth paying a premium if we couldn't fully enjoy the camel ride and capture the background shots with the sand dunes. However, our driver was able to communicate with the luxury camp and address all our concerns, making the Sahara experience one of the highlights of our trip.

2. Our driver went above and beyond to accommodate all our last-minute requests, such as dinner plans, an additional visit to Atlas Studios, and adjustments to our flight schedule. His efforts made this trip very memorable for my wife and me.

Choosing our travel agency was definitely a wise move. The itinerary was perfect and the selections of riads and hotels were superb. We had a wonderful time exploring Morocco at our own pace, with the comfort of our luxury SUV and dedicated driver.

Mike and I wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for our unforgettable two-week adventure in Costa Rica. The trip was amazing and exceeded our expectations. We were spoiled by the private transfers and private tours. All of the tour guides were professional and very informative. We enjoyed all of the selected hotels, with the lodge in Monteverde being our favorite. The hotel had a great happy hour with a variety of drinks and was within walking distance of Santa Elena. We liked having daily breakfast included and loved all of the fresh fruits, especially the cantaloupe and watermelon.

Zicasso's travel agency gave me the Italian trip of a lifetime! We were a family of six (myself, my husband, my two teenage daughters, and my elderly parents aged 75 and 80). From start to finish, all of the details were handled by the agency. 

They helped us arrange private drivers from the airport to our hotel, from our hotel to the train stations, from the train stations to the next hotel. Because my parents had some mobility issues, I told them we had to have hotels that were accessible. The hotels they chose for us were boutique, unique, comfortable, and centrally located in the heart of the cities we were visiting. My parents didn't have any issues getting in and out of the hotels. In Florence, our hotel room had a view of the Duomo. It was amazing! 

I asked them to help me plan a few day trips to the Ferrari Museum in Modena and to Padova and Verona when we were staying in Venice. They recommended a day trip to Pisa and Lucca when we were staying in Florence. The itinerary they planned for us was so thoughtful. I felt like they planned the trip exactly for us. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Zicasso’s travel agency was amazing. Our agent sorted out the details of our 14-day trip to Greece (apart from our flights in and out of the country, which we had already arranged), and I mean all the details: accommodation, destinations, tour guides, drivers, internal flights, suggestions of where to eat, and her whole team looked after us while we were there. She listened (and responded) to what we wanted to see and do, and she made a few terrific suggestions of things we would never have known about. The itinerary she created was perfect. (I should also mention that we found our travel agency via Zicasso about three weeks before our trip, so it was all arranged last minute, which I don't recommend, but our agent made it all work.) She was lovely and our trip was amazing because of her. 

The guides she picked for us were all top-notch, the other activities (particularly the cooking classes) were conducted by spectacularly wonderful people, the drivers were fantastic (and friendly, and some were hilarious). I cannot recommend our agent and her team more highly. Do yourself a favor and contact her immediately for your trip to Greece (or, apparently, Italy, and maybe other places too? I'm not quite sure how to phrase this, but the people she works with, the people she will arrange to be part of your journey, are all outstanding, friendly, and welcoming, and also very good at what they do. You will not be disappointed. 

I wish I could give the agency more stars – 10 or 20 might start to cover it. It was the trip of a lifetime!

Our Zicasso travel agent did a wonderful job taking our requests and styling a complex, detailed itinerary. Everything worked perfectly. The guides all communicated with each other and the drivers were always at the expected locations. All accommodations were awesome and well-located. 

Beginning in Chiang Mai, Thailand, we visited Doi Inthanon National Park, the Doi Suthep mountain temple, and had an absolutely awesome time visiting with elephants at the elephant sanctuary, among other things. We even got to play with a two-week-old elephant. All our dining recommendations were awesome and we particularly enjoyed our time with the guides.

Next, we flew to Krabi for unforgettable views and relaxing beach time. Again, the resort was awesome. We even went mountain climbing on Railay Beach. My son got engaged at the New Year's gala at our hotel, which was spectacular; an unbelievable stay. We particularly enjoyed our time with the guide!

Next, we finished in Bangkok, where the highlight was riding in the tuk-tuks and doing a city food tour. Our guide was so awesome and knowledgeable.

Unfortunately, eight of the 10 of us then flew home, while my wife and I continued to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Our guide was such a good travel companion and we left Cambodia with a true knowledge of Cambodian life/history/temples. He was very forthcoming about his life growing up under the Khmer Rouge. Although a long day, the temple tour was unbelievable, culminating in Angkor Wat. Our hotel was awesome and blocks from the nightlife on Pub Street. It was such a great stay.

Next, we flew to Saigon. We were met by our guide, who noticed we were hungry and immediately stopped at a local street food vendor for our first foray into bun bo. It was so good. The mix of history, countryside visits, and city tours with our guide was awesome and she even left us with a customized pictorial of our visit. The other excursion that needs mention is the Vespa city and food tour. Our main guide was delightful, giving us a true taste of Saigon culture and food. The drivers were so great.  This tour finished with a surprise visit to a local bar/club, where we had front-row seats to an awesome Latin band for a nightcap. It was truly unforgettable. Also, we cannot forget our visit to the Cu Chi tunnels, where our guide did a great job educating and touring us through this unbelievable history.

Then, we flew to Hanoi to another awesome location. Highlights in Hanoi would be visiting the Hoa Lo prison, having dinner in a local family's home, and especially the Minsk backstreet tour. Our tour drivers were so awesome. This excursion really gave us a feel for the city/backstreets, as well as an idea of the frightening life of riding a motorbike through the city and back alleys of Hanoi. It was truly unforgettable. This tour finished with my knees about a foot away from the speeding train at Hanoi train station, another can't-miss site!

Next, we visited Ninh Binh for trekking, biking, and bamboo boating. The scenery was awesome and it was definitely a nice break from the busy city.

The trip finished with a two-night, three-day cruise on Hạ Long Bay. The scenery was unbelievable and the staff were excellent; so attentive and informative.

This trip truly was spectacular and we are so happy that Zicasso connected us with our agent to make all of this happen. We couldn't be happier with the entire trip!

Our three-week winter escapade to France, Switzerland, and Austria was nothing short of a magical journey through some of the most enchanting winter wonderlands Europe has to offer. France: A Parisian Winter Dream

We began our adventure in Paris, the City of Lights, which becomes even more captivating during the winter. The Eiffel Tower sparkled against the night sky and Paris offered a blend of elegance and festive cheer that set the perfect tone for the rest of our trip.

Another highlight was our visit to Colmar, a charming Alsace town that felt like stepping into a storybook. Its cobblestone streets, half-timbered houses, and magical Christmas market made it an unforgettable experience, with festive lights and holiday spirit around every corner.

Switzerland: A Snow-Capped Wonderland

Next, we ventured to Switzerland, where the true magic of winter revealed itself. The highlight was our trip to Jungfraujoch, the "Top of Europe." The journey up was as breathtaking as the destination itself, with panoramic views of snow-draped peaks and charming alpine villages. Once at Jungfraujoch, we were mesmerized by the endless expanse of snow and ice.

Equally unforgettable was our visit to First Mountain. The crisp air, thrilling walk, and ziplining added an adventurous touch. The view from the suspension bridge, with the mountains stretching endlessly into the horizon, was a sight that will forever be etched in our memories.

We also had the thrill of dog sledding near the Matterhorn. Gliding across snowy trails with a team of eager huskies was an exhilarating and unique way to experience the majestic mountain landscapes.

Austria: A Symphony of Tradition and Festivity

Our final stop was Austria, where the Christmas spirit was alive in every corner. The Vienna Christmas Market was a dream come true, with its illuminated stalls offering everything from handcrafted ornaments to mouthwatering strudels and mulled wine. Salzburg, with its Baroque architecture and snow-dusted rooftops, felt like stepping into a fairy tale. We also attended a classical music performance that added a touch of cultural richness to our holiday.

To top it off, we enjoyed a cozy, horse-drawn carriage ride through a picturesque Austrian village. Wrapped in warm blankets, we listened to the rhythmic clopping of hooves as we glided past snow-covered chalets and twinkling lights – a truly enchanting experience!

The entire trip was a seamless blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and festive joy. Each destination brought its own unique charm, leaving us with unforgettable memories of twinkling lights, snowy peaks, and the warm glow of holiday cheer. Winter in Europe is truly a season to behold and this journey was nothing short of spectacular.

The planning and organization for our trip to Germany and Austria was expertly handled by Zicasso's travel partner. We could not have asked for a better trip. 

We gathered our adult children and friends together to celebrate Christmas and New Year in the Old World. In and around Munich, we saw Neuschwanstein and many of the city's beautifully ornate churches. We also visited the Christmas markets and beer halls, and ate way to much fabulous German food. 

Our agent contracted private guides in Munich and Salzburg. These guides were superior. They had detailed knowledge of the area, its history, and people. 

We spent Christmas in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It is a lovely, magical town in the shadow of Germany's highest mountain, Zugspitze. On Christmas Day, I took the cable car up the mountain and the sights from the top were tremendous. On the day we were there, we could see 230km in all directions. Of course, when in the Alps, you must ski, so we visited Hintertux for a day of skiing and glacier exploration.  

Then we went to Salzburg to explore the sites of Mozart's birthplace, but there is so much more to the town than that. The town has over 1,000 years of history and the people there could not have been more hospitable. 

From there, we went back to Munich to celebrate New Year at Tollwood.

Our itinerary included a comprehensive exploration of Athens, the monasteries of Meteora, Arachova, Delphi, Olympia, Mystras, Epidavros, Monemvasia, Nafplion, Sparta, and Corinth. We also had the opportunity to visit a variety of local sites, including an ouzo distillery, an olive oil-processing facility (where we enjoyed a delicious complimentary lunch), an aloe vera farm, and a honey farm. We went to a little fishing village which was the home of our agent's husband and enjoyed fresh fish and wine. Each visit was accompanied by informative tours and tastings.

Our guide demonstrated an extraordinary depth of knowledge so extensive, in fact, that one of our group members took notes while another recorded his explanations. His passion for sharing Greek history and culture was evident throughout the tour. Our driver was equally impressive, showing great skill and professionalism. He ensured our comfort by offering assistance with boarding the van, making stops for bathroom breaks and refreshments, and even surprised us one morning by presenting oranges he had picked.

One of the highlights of the trip was staying at the resort in Crete, which I can confidently say was the most exquisite resort I’ve ever experienced. The accommodations were luxurious and our group of four friends thoroughly enjoyed the spa treatments and relaxing moments in the hot tub.

The quality of food at every location we visited was consistently exceptional ‒ fresh, authentic, and flavorful. As an olive oil enthusiast, I can attest that Greek olive oil is unparalleled in taste and quality.

Given the cost of the trip was shared among eight participants, it was surprisingly affordable. Despite most of us being educators, we found the trip to be within reach. Additionally, all breakfasts were included, which further added to the value of this remarkable experience. It’s hard to imagine any future trip surpassing the incredible experience I had in Greece. The journey was so remarkable that I find it difficult to envision another destination that could offer a more enriching or memorable experience.

Zicasso’s trip planner is a rare gem, as a travel specialist and as a person. We just returned from a trip of a lifetime in Greece, designed and executed perfectly for us by her. I knew from the first time I Zoomed with her that she was incredibly competent, warm, and caring. She really listened to our preferences and travel needs, and developed a completely personalized trip, with every detail carefully crafted.

There are no words to express the care she showed throughout our experience. She was like a guardian angel, in frequent contact, making sure everything went seamlessly. She provided us each with a beautiful "program" booklet that elaborated on all the details for each day, including meeting places, transfer arrangements, maps, meals, etc. When there were any blips outside of her control, she acted quickly to rectify them. In one case, we were running late and missed the start of a tour. Madeleine immediately contacted the company and tour leader, and made arrangements for us to meet them along the way. In another case, there was a ferry strike that would have obstructed our ability to get from Santorini to Athens for our flight home. Before we even knew about the strike, she had snagged the last two seats on a plane and coordinated the change of plan with the manager of our hotel. Many other guests were stranded and would miss their flights home.

Our agent was careful to stay within our stated budget. She balanced some very upscale luxury accommodations with others that were still quite nice, but not as high-end. We had wonderful semi-private day tours with one or two other tourists and excellent guides. We requested some free days to explore on our own or rest, and that was built into our program.

Zicasso’s travel agency planned the trip of a lifetime for me and my husband in Sicily. We specified that we wanted to have one cooking class and go to a resort on Salina Island, one of the Aeolian islands easily reached by a high-speed hydrofoil ship.

The cooking class in Syracuse was one of the highlights, as the chef was fun and amazing. Our agent arranged for a wonderful boat trip from Salina to Lipari. We ate lunch with our captain and his son. They were both so delightful, telling us about their passion for fishing, cooking, and more.

We started the trip in Palermo, where we had a balcony with a view of the city and surrounding mountains. We went to Agrigento, Noto, the Marsala wine region, Syracuse, Salina, and Taormina. We saw Greek temples, Roman mosaics, and had wine tastings and lunch at wineries. We were met by a driver and private guide most days. Some days, per our request, were at leisure.

We are thankful to Zicasso for giving us our travel company. This agency was attentive, communicated with us daily, and responded to any concerns in the best possible way. This was our third trip using Zicasso. I have recommended Zicasso to four friends over a few years. They used Zicasso and were just as pleased as I am.

Zicasso’s travel agency was absolutely fabulous! Our travel agent planned the most incredible honeymoon. She really listened and understood what we were looking for, worked with our budget, and helped us make decisions. The only thing we had to organize on our own were our flights to and from Africa. And of course, those were the only two "issues" we had. In fact, our flight to Zimbabwe was so delayed that we were stuck overnight in Ethiopia. We were so devastated to be missing our sunset cruise and elephant encounter due to the delay. My wife and I had an unforgettable 14-day trip to Italy, expertly arranged by Zicasso’s tour company. From start to finish, every detail was meticulously planned, making our experience seamless and enriching.

My husband and I planned this trip in honor of our 10-year anniversary. Our Zicasso agent listened to our wants and designed a dream trip for us. We were picked up upon landing in Madrid. The driver was friendly and well-spoken. On our final day in Madrid, he drove us to the train station.

Our local guide in Toledo had a depth of knowledge of the history of this wonderful city, making this one of our favorite destinations. She assisted in finding the right restaurants and shops at which to buy local wares and not the tourist traps that could be found.

Our local guide in Seville had the best character of all our guides. He was authentic and knew the area well. It was like being escorted by the governor of the city; I swear, the flamenco dancing didn't start until we arrived. It felt like we were with family at all the restaurants we visited with him.

Our local guide in Ronda was knowledgeable about the city and bullfighting culture and history. Walking the oldest bullring was a highlight for me. We couldn't have had a more behind-the-scenes tour of this beautiful city.

Our driver to and from Ronda made the two-hour one-way trip smooth and easy. He was a great conversationalist and provided some local eatery recommendations in Seville during our return trip.

Working with the Zicasso travel agency to plan our trip to Japan (Tokyo/Hakone/Kyoto/Kobe) was the best decision we made. We had two meetings (and email traffic) to discuss what type of trip we were looking for, our budget, and how we like to travel. Our agent came back with a fantastic trip based on those discussions. There were so many special activities included that we would never have experienced without her help, from a nigiri-making class to washi paper making, then samurai training and so much more.

Our hand-selected guides were also amazing and so well prepared by our agent and the team regarding what types of sights we wanted to see and what some of our travel challenges might be. These guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and felt like my new friends.

We also experienced a slight medical issue while on our trip and the agency helped us find a doctor the same day. They seriously went above and beyond.

I also loved that we had an app that showed our entire itinerary and that we could message them during the trip with any questions or issues. They would check in to make sure we were having a good time and to see if they could be helpful. We received total white-glove treatment from start to finish.

I don’t even know where to begin singing the praises of Zicasso and their travel company! I have done my share of travel (definitely more within the US than foreign) and planned my share of family trips… and I’m never going back to doing it on my own again! From the minute we submitted our request to Zicasso for a nine-day, family-of-five (parents and three adult girls) trip to Greece, the Zicasso team and their travel company were extremely responsive, knowledgeable, organized, and professional – and the product and customer service they provided was beyond comparison. After the initial request, we had no need for contact with Zicasso (although they did periodically check in with us over the six months between trip planning and departure), so the rest of this review is directed at their travel team and, in particular, our agent.

We very much appreciated the level of thought and detail that went into the trip planning, taking into consideration every single note mentioned in the request and subsequent emails. Communications were always very prompt and clear, and payment options were well explained and very convenient.

On our departure date, we were ready for take-off and excited about everything our trip included. Then, what we will forever refer to as “The Outage” struck on July 19, canceling our international flight. We fought through the mayhem at O’Hare airport and, by the end of the day, were left with the only option of a flight arriving in Greece two days later than scheduled.

Our original trip included three islands, so a two-day delay threw our plans (inter-island flights, tours, multiple hotel rooms at each site) into quite a spin. That evening, as we waited in Chicago to depart, our agent suggested a live call with us – even though it was the middle of night in her time zone – to go over all the options she had organized in response to the interruption. I cannot imagine recovering from this blow to our itinerary without our agent in my corner doing all the scrambling, rebooking, and rescheduling. We were so grateful for her dedication to adapting plans to accommodate the global airline outage; it allowed us to recover the highlights that were important to us and still enjoy a fabulous vacation.

During the trip itself, she frequently checked in with us and provided so much helpful information (at one point after a call, one of our daughters exclaimed, “She’s so NICE!”). She even had thoughtful welcome gifts delivered to us and booked an unexpected complimentary excursion for us in sympathy of our travel struggles.

Furthermore, now that I’m beginning the ordeal of submitting five travel insurance claims, she has pledged any help we need and is ridiculously quick to respond to every little request I send her for documentation, incurred costs, etc. (I’m trying to figure out a way to snag her from her travel company and convince her to plan my international trips in every country I visit!!)

This was an exceptional, personalized itinerary. All of the private guides were very knowledgeable and extremely accommodating to even last-minute requests. However, by far the most exceptional component of the trip were the caring and attentive employees of the Zicasso travel company. Our agents were absolutely superb and went way beyond their traditional role as travel agents. They became friends who even assisted me in resolving a medical issue and rescheduling our last flight when a strike closed Gatwick Airport. These people truly had your back and you knew you had local friends who could help you with any issue. The itinerary they planned was spectacular, but their service was off the charts and I have never had better.

All my six or so trips through Zicasso have been wonderful and this was no exception. The service on this trip was really highlighted by certain unexpected circumstances and our travel company truly excelled.

We had an outstanding adventure! This was our third Zicasso trip – a complex, two-week vacation with six people, ourselves, adult children and their significant others, across Germany and Austria. We had many standard (wine tasting, castle touring) and non-standard (canyoning, via ferratas) requests, and Zicasso’s travel company did an amazing job of connecting us with incredible tour guides.

The key for me, and what really helps me come back to Zicasso again and again, is "connecting the dots". Our travel company perfectly set up all of our logistics and travel arrangements. On one occasion, things were not quite perfect and they quickly remedied the issue. In addition, they quickly received our feedback during the trip and gave suggestions and/or alternative plans. The adventure was amazing!

My husband and I used Zicasso’s tour operator for our two-week honeymoon exploring Italy. Our travel agent was wonderful, prompt, and planned a trip of a lifetime!!! It was also nice that she was there during our trip for any questions we had, and she answered right away whenever we had a quick question or concern. Also, our tours in Rome were planned perfectly. We felt we really saw the highlights of Rome on the tours we had, including a golf cart tour of Rome!

Additionally, all our hotels were perfect! We also felt special because she told them all it was our honeymoon.

In Athens, we had a private tour of the Acropolis and Plaka, and visited beautiful Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon. We loved our five-hour catamaran trips in Mykonos and Santorini. They were perfect ways to see the beauty of both islands, swim, and connect with other travelers.

In Santorini, we had a private six-hour tour with a fantastic guide and learned so much about the island, visiting so many beautiful sights, including Oia, avoiding crowds, capturing fabulous family photos of the blue-domed churches, tasting wine overlooking the beautiful caldera, and so much more. We loved our sunset food tour along the caldera footpath, tasting so many different local foods, wines, and beer. Our guide was charming and fun.

Crete was beautiful and we visited a nearby beach for swimming, dined at a quaint local restaurant with excellent grilled fish after swimming, and enjoyed a sunset tour of the old town in Chania. We even learned a little Greek. We enjoyed everything about our trip – the food, the people/guides, the beautiful places, and the history.

Our agent created a full travel itinerary that we could access on our phones throughout the trip. When something was updated (one boat had a technical problem and our agent booked us an alternative; our gate changed at the airport), we received an alert. We did a week-long visit to Greece, visiting the classic trio – Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini. All the transportation was top-notch. We loved the hotels she booked for us. We were picked up from the airport in a luxurious Mercedes van. The Acropolis and private food tours were phenomenal.

In Mykonos, we stayed at a boutique hotel. It was lovely. The room had a cave-like feel and the staff and pool were wonderful. The Mykonos and catamaran tours were wonderful. We absolutely loved the catamaran tour and swimming in the Aegean Sea. Everything was private. The catamaran was semi-private, with the captain and chef, who made fresh food on board. Of all the places we visited in Greece, Mykonos was our favorite. The tour guide suggested restaurants and bars to go to, which were iconic, adorable, and happening.

In Santorini, our agent booked a high-speed jet. Everything was handled very well. The hotel with a spa in Fira was definitely one of the top five hotels I have stayed in, and this is coming from someone who has traveled frequently around the world. We loved Santorini and everything that small island had to offer. The blue domes were definitely the highlight.

Overall, our travel agent made the trip seamless, stress-free, and enjoyable for our mother-daughter trip to Greece. We are calling it “Mamma Mi”! Highly recommended!

We've used other companies in the past and this experience far surpassed many of our other vacations. As a very active family of five embarking on our first trip to Greece, she created a vacation that more than met, and often exceeded, our expectations.

After interviewing us, she and her team designed a vacation that included history, deep cultural experiences, mythology, sailing, hiking, ATV tours, and rural tours of honey, olive oil, and wine-making areas. Our guides were extraordinarily knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and made us all feel welcome.

Of note, our driver in Athens went above and beyond. Particularly memorable moments were our first night in Athens, where we went on a walking culinary tour with our guide, who introduced us to many of his favorite local restaurants.

Similarly, the last evening in Santorini was a catamaran sunset sail with a skipper and first mate who made us feel like we were part of their family, spoiling us with an amazing on-board dinner.

We had great experiences everywhere, but have to admit that Crete was our family's favorite based on the countryside, food, and the people. Thank you to our travel agent for that great suggestion!

The accommodations were extraordinary. Every detail was accounted for, including transportation and the ability to contact our agent and her team at any time using the Greek cell phone she provided. Updates were done in real-time within the electronic itinerary, which was accessible to our entire family. If there was the occasional unforeseen change, the details were taken care of seamlessly.

The process was truly stress-free. We left Greece with a newfound love and appreciation for this amazing country and its people, which was in large part due to our agent and her amazing team.

This trip through the Basque region had everything: beautiful beaches, lush scenery, history, delicious food, outdoor activities, knowledgeable and friendly guides, wine culture, local flavor, and unique experiences (running with the bulls and a bullfight). And then Zurich. Oh Zurich, you stole our hearts! The hotel was pure luxury. The spa experience was out of this world, like floating on a cloud of relaxation. Our guide in Zurich was so knowledgeable and fun. He took us for a fondue feast, shared stories of Zurich's gold coast, and even treated us to a tour of a well-known chocolate factory. Heaven!

Overall, our trip was the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. We soaked in the culture, indulged in gourmet delights, and made memories to last a lifetime. We can't wait to share all the stunning photos and insider tips with our followers. It was truly an experience to remember!

Cuba is an amazing country. Our Zicasso guide provided excellent background, history, help, and humor. She and our drivers were exceptionally warm and welcoming. The itinerary was well-paced and diverse.

Our Zicasso travel agents were great to work with and very responsive. They came up with cool suggestions and delicious dining recommendations. All our accommodations were lovely and well-situated. It was my first completely self-guided tour, but they gave me lots of information. The only thing I would say is, make sure your cellular service works in the country you’re traveling in as a lot of the information is in links to maps, etc. I would happily recommend Zicasso’s travel company to others and their prices were better than other agencies I compared them to.

My wife and I had the most incredible honeymoon in Italy, thanks to the Zicasso travel agent and team!

In the first consultation call, we met our delightful agent. She was easy to talk to and, after hearing our initial thoughts, gave us some great recommendations on cities, excursions, and food. After some friendly, timely back-and-forth over phone calls and emails, we decided our 11-day trip should start in Lake Como, then move on to Florence and finally end in Rome.

In the following weeks, we bought our plane tickets on our own (using credit card points), but our agent and team went straight to work booking hotels based on our discussions, our private transfers, and all of our excursions. She even sent us a list of highly-rated restaurants, breakfast, and coffee shops for us to review! The whole booking process was extremely easy.

One thing we truly loved was how responsive the team was if we had any questions or concerns during our trip. We did have a point where we couldn’t locate our driver after we got off our train in Florence, but with a quick chat on the app they use, they lined us up with a new driver in a matter of minutes. We also had a last-minute request to reserve us a dinner at a restaurant in Bellagio, as well as a transfer from the restaurant back to our hotel in Como. Within the hour, it was booked!

Another thing we were truly impressed by was the private transfers to and from everywhere we went (from airport to hotel and back, excursions, etc). All of the drivers we had the privilege of riding with were very knowledgeable, personable, and professional. We also did not know what to expect as far as the type of vehicle we’d be chauffeured around in, but we were pleasantly surprised they were black, top-of-the-line Mercedes. We felt like royalty!

All of the hotel, food, and excursion recommendations we took our agent up on were exactly what we envisioned and more. Our excursions included a three-hour private boat tour on Lake Como (our favorite), several wine tours near Florence (with an amazing driver), a private pasta- and tiramisu-making class (our second favorite), the Colosseum and Vatican tour (with a delightful guide), and a private food tour around the city in Rome.

Though all of our experiences were one for the books, the highlight for me was the private boat tour on Lake Como! In a James Bond-esque wooden boat, we got to pop around some amazing towns along the lake, including the infamous Bellagio, and we even got to tour the Villa del Balbianello, which we truly cherished as Star Wars fans!

All in all, I had the honeymoon of a lifetime with my new bride and I cannot thank our agent and the team enough for making the experience one to remember! I wholeheartedly encourage anyone looking to travel to Italy to make their lives easy and have this travel company take care of them.

Zicasso's tour operator put together an absolutely outstanding tour of Costa Rica. Responsive and responsible, she was there for us at every turn, before and during our adventure. We cannot praise her highly enough and consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to work with her.

We would also like to commend our driver from San José to the Arenal Volcano. He was an excellent driver and conveyed us through heavy San José traffic and long stretches of country roads. We very much appreciated him and how safe and secure he kept us.

The best guide had a marvelous demeanor; a great sense of humor mixed with knowledge that wasn't overwhelming, but met the various aspects of the day's hike at the Tenorio Volcano and Rio Celeste National Park, and lunch (which itself was outstanding).

The hotels selected for us were outstanding, although the lodge in Tortuguero that had no air conditioning presented some challenges in terms of the humidity at night. Everything we had, including our money, got soggy. That all cleared up in La Fortuna. From that point forward, our accommodations were enviable in terms of their amenities, surroundings, and views. From manicured gardens to a variety of wildlife, we were treated in a first-class manner.

My wife and I have just had a wonderful experience with the Zicasso tour agency, “a multi-day, multi-destination travel design company”. We approached them through their “travel fairy” with our wish list. We wanted to see the historical and archeological sites of mainland Greece in three weeks.

Since my father was born in the small northern town of Siatista, we wanted to go there as well. Aside from lovely accommodations, fine Greek meals, drivers, and excellent tour guides at each of the historic locations, the staff embraced the search for my roots and, without my knowledge, went so far as to contact a historian in Siatista who introduced me to my Greek family.

Additionally, our agent was our personal concierge. This 80-year-old is frequently defeated by electronic devices, but she came through each time – change of schedule, KLM cancels a flight, call her and the problem is gone. We had an absolutely amazing time on our trip, a high-school graduation present to our son. Our family of five, including 14, 16, and 18-year-old kids, wanted to maximize the time in Spain, so we wanted an aggressive schedule. We were able to visit Barcelona, Girona, Granada, Córdoba, and Seville over nine days.

We really loved having that resource this time! We had a couple of wrinkles with two tours and a train reservation, but they got to work immediately to resolve each issue. We were so appreciative! We had a fantastic trip and would use them again without hesitation!

Our agent came up with an itinerary that satisfied everyone on our trip, with ages ranging from 16 to 74. When the Blue Lagoon closed down while we were in the air and only about 12 hours from going, he was able to pivot and make it a great experience by getting us in at a different lagoon.

We were blessed with beautiful weather on all but one day. That one day was supposed to include our glacier hike, but the company canceled it. Before we even knew of the cancellation, our travel agent and our guide had come up with a plan so we were still able to do everything we wanted, and I think it may have even turned out better. We were so grateful we used our travel agency.

The experience working with Zicasso’s travel partner was top-notch, from the first interview, when we discussed what was important to us, until the moment the driver in the last location dropped us off at the airport to fly back home.

We wanted to have the full Indochina experience, which required arrangements for hotels, airline tickets, and access to tourist attractions in north Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and central and south Vietnam. The hotels matched what we discussed in the plan, the transfers were always on time, and the flights, even when they had to be rearranged because of a cancellation, were managed with efficiency, maintaining the plan.

The local driver and guide in each location were impressive, always ready to help, answer any questions, and provide the interesting information that is not in the tourist books. Even when the unforeseeable happened, like the closing of the National Palace for a special event, the guides were able to improvise and fill the time with other interesting activities. Since we expressed interest in the local cuisine, the travel plan included plenty of opportunities for us to enjoy the local dishes in each location, and the guides genuinely seemed to enjoy describing the delicacies.

In Scotland, our driver/guide was a lively storyteller who wore a kilt and kept us entertained throughout. In Ireland, our driver/guide was an interesting conversationalist who showed us many places of natural beauty that extended our already excellent itinerary. Our agent took care of us before and throughout our trip, making reservations for experiences and meals we wanted to add and any changes we wanted to make as we traveled.

We asked to stay in a mix of four-star and five-star accommodations, and that worked out perfectly. Our travel company offered an app with a “living” itinerary, offering day-by-day details, names, phone numbers, walking maps, weather reports, notifications of any changes, additional suggestions for free time, and reminders about upcoming plans.

We have done a lot of traveling over many years and this was one of our most stress-free and delightful trips. We are already thinking about planning future trips with our travel team.

I highly recommend this Zicasso travel company if you are traveling in Central Europe. We toured Berlin, Prague, and Budapest with great guides, great accommodations in good locations, and some terrific surprises, including a fabulous first-night-in-Prague dinner reservation and a wine tour in Hungary that included a stop at a tiny, off-the-radar winery run by an incredibly lovely and hospitable young couple out of their home in a village outside Budapest.

Our knowledgeable and personable guides were responsive to our interests, our gazillion questions, and time spent in capturing monuments, moments, and extraordinary views on camera (we are former journalists). Tours included overviews of the main attractions, with deep historical context, as well as "alternative” mini-tours that got us into neighborhoods and off-the-beaten path places we would not have known about. In each city, they arranged for a bike day (complete with reserving the right size bikes, sometimes with, other times without, a guide).

The travel company arranged seamless transfers from airports and train stations, the kind of detail that can be so stressful when you arrive at a new destination. The trip planner was very receptive to our preferences, including plenty of on-our-own time, and was available throughout the trip via WhatsApp.

Our agent was available, patient, flexible, and responsive to all of our requests, changes, questions, and concerns. He could not have made the planning easier, even when we asked questions we had already asked or had last-minute requests.

In addition to creating the trip we wanted, he provided us with a detailed itinerary, a 24-hour local contact in Türkiye, restaurant recommendations, gratuity information and suggestions, as well as responding to individual requests, such as "How do I say I am allergic to peanuts?" in Turkish! Our trip went off without a hitch.

All of the hotels were amazing and each one different. Our agent even arranged for an upgrade, at no charge to us, at the last minute. We had wonderful guides in each of the three locations we visited. We traveled by air within Türkiye and that also went amazingly smoothly, even through there were very few signs in English. The attention to detail was amazing and appreciated.

Our local contact was also fantastic. He answered questions any time of day or night, was helpful, and made us feel taken care of throughout our journey. We also felt secure knowing we could provide our family members with a local contact, just in case.

I have been waiting for this trip since I was 10 years old. It was beyond anything I could ever have hoped for or dreamt of, mostly because of Zicasso’s travel agent. I know I was a bit of a pain in her backside, but she was just about as perfect as they come. She took care of every detail, from the moment we landed until the sad day came that we had to come home.

We spent the first few days in Cape Town, then went to God’s Window for a couple of days, then on safari in Sabi Sands. We stayed at Idube Game Reserve and were just over the top about everything. Idube was the highlight of our trip.

I gave our agent a brief description of what we were hoping for in a safari and it was like she had known me all my life. We left the safari and went to Victoria Falls. Again, our agent made all of our travel seamless. In fact, we are getting ready to plan another South African trip because our friends saw how easy Denise made it for us and we are all going to go together. We had an excellent experience dealing with Zicasso’s tour operator. He arranged great hotels, especially a wonderful ryokan in Takayama, which was the highlight of our two-week trip. All of the hotels were conveniently located near train stations, which made movement very convenient.

Our travel agent arranged local assistants to help us figure out the somewhat bewildering process of using the trains in Japan, so that was a big help.

The sightseeing was terrific, with local guides at each location, all of whom were very well informed of what we were visiting. In some cases, the guides' English was not as good as we would have liked, but we were able to understand what they were trying to tell us with patience and perseverance by all parties.

I especially appreciated that our tour operator and all of his local people were able to improvise at the last minute to accommodate my wife's unanticipated mobility problem that arose halfway through our trip. They scrambled and found rental wheelchairs, special help in the train stations, hotels, and airports, and while sightseeing. All was handled with grace and professionalism, and made the second half of our trip enjoyable when it could have been otherwise.

We had an exceptional trip to Vietnam organized by Zicasso’s travel agent. He was a pleasure to work with. He was super-reactive in updating the itinerary each time we asked for a small change. I have never seen such attention to detail to make sure our family was 100% happy.

When our daughter fell and had to go to a hospital in the Ha Long Bay area, the itinerary was rearranged. The guide organized the hospital visit and waited in the van with the driver to make things as smooth as possible.

Together, we put together a land package that included the Mayan ruins and cave tubing.

The private transportation driver who took us to the mountain was patient in waiting for our delayed flight and knowledgeable in pointing out areas of interest on the two-hour trip.

We stayed at a hotel which was quaint, clean, and beautiful. The staff were completely service-driven. Our driver/guide for the Mayan ruins and cave tubing was extremely polite and so knowledgeable. We loved him! Cave tubing is way too much fun and I am looking forward to going back to do it again. Our travel agent added an unexpected and welcomed tour through an iguana conservation project located at the hotel.

The small plane/flight to Ambergris Caye was easy and gave great views. The inn right on the beach was cute, quaint, and small. It was in a great location to get away from the business of San Pedro by walking along the beachside or getting into the hustle/bustle of the town by walking one block.

We took two snorkel excursions on which both crews were extremely knowledgeable, polite, and very nice. One had us going out on a sailboat, which was a pleasant surprise.

We were able to rent a golf cart directly through the hotel, whose staff were kind and provided exceptional customer service, to travel to Secret Beach.

One minor thing was being on the second floor of the hotel instead of the ground floor, but we completely understand that we were probably lucky to have even got a room there due to our late changes.

We are more than excited about planning a trip to go back next year!

My trip planning request connected us with Zicasso's travel partner and we had the best trip of our lives. Our agent from the Zicasso travel company was incredibly attentive, responsive, and personable from the very first call. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble and she was very invested in making our trip work for our individual needs and desires.

We got off to a rocky start due to storms in our home city, causing us to miss two layovers, a tour of Helsinki, a night in our glass igloo, and a reindeer experience. Our agent worked tirelessly to rebook our flights, find us alternate accommodations for our extra night in Helsinki, and help us navigate the last-minute changes. She went above and beyond in securing us alternate flights despite over three-hour phone wait times with the airlines. I do not know how we would have managed the delays and hiccups without her help and expertise.

Our family of five had an amazing nine-day trip to Iceland over Christmas. We were based mostly in Reykjavik, taking walking tours through the city with local guides and small group tours to hunt for the Northern Lights and explore the Golden Circle and a lava tunnel.

We met with a private guide who drove us to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and a blue ice cave, plus many scenic waterfalls and beaches along the southern coast. These tours were fantastic and the two hotels we stayed at were a great fit for our family. We spent Christmas Day at the Sky Lagoon; definitely a great day!

We were very fortunate to find our tour operator through Zicasso. Our trip was planned by a very friendly and professional travel agent. She helped us figure out the best itinerary for our family. She helped us balance all the activities we wanted to do, while still having some downtime. We had a couple of last-minute travel complications, including flight delays and the Blue Lagoon closing, then reopening, then closing again due to the volcanic eruption. She was very accommodating and quick to reschedule various activities.

Our family recently returned from a wondrous trip to South Africa that was planned with great assistance from Zicasso’s tour operator. South Africa really has it all – stunning scenery; tons of wildlife (lions and penguins!); friendly, creative people; beautiful art, music, and culture.

It isn't easy to please everyone when your kids range in age from kindergarten to tween and teen, but our travel agent came through! For example, my teen appreciated our time at the hotel, which opens into the mall at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town – he liked being able to have some independence to roam and explore.

We had a very memorable trip to Portugal in December 2023. I would rate it as one of our best family vacations – very meticulously planned and executed by Zicasso's travel partner.

At the outset, our travel agency assigned a dedicated consultant who took a lot of effort to understand what we wanted from the vacation – the kind of accommodations, travel, key activities and areas of interest, and our budget. Based on this, she came up with a draft travel itinerary and proposal which we reviewed and finalized over a couple of Zoom calls and emails. She was very resourceful and creative in making the most of the seven days we planned to spend in Portugal. She was in regular touch right up to the day of the trip to make sure our airport pick-up, tour guide, hotels, and all bookings were in place, and communicated very clearly in a detailed day-by-day tour itinerary document.

Our trip was absolutely perfect and incredible in every way. It was amazingly well planned, with very personable private tour guides and the ability to skip all the lines. It could not have been arranged better. We flew into Rome and our drivers and tour guides were promptly waiting for us throughout the week, with well-planned tours daily!

We spent our first day in the city center, followed by an incredible pizza place for dinner! The next day we visited the magnificent Colosseum. The Vatican was massive and we were awestruck in the Sistine Chapel. We had fabulous gelato and a pizza-making class. We then took a train to Venice, where we had a beautiful hotel and a tour conducted by a Venetian. The gondola was perfect!

The magnificent Duomo in Milan and seeing The Last Supper in person were awe-inspiring! We had great food, lodging, shopping, and warm and friendly people throughout.

I couldn’t have had a better trip than what the fabulous and passionate people at Zicasso planned for me and my two daughters, aged 16 and nine! After numerous emails and phone conversations with the three travel companies recommended by Zicasso, we chose our travel specialists. It was a great decision! Our travel advisor was extremely responsive to all correspondence and the smooth communication with her over five months of planning made me much more at ease. She made informed yet realistic suggestions to customize our trip for six adults, who ranged in age from 27 to 65. Each day, our guide shared his deep knowledge and clear love of his country as he helped us understand the history of the area and shared stories of growing up in Morocco. We learned so much from our guide and because of our time with him, have taken away new and valuable perspectives. Our very experienced guide was also able to adjust our schedule on the fly when we were unexpectedly delayed on arrival at the airport. He made arrangements for us to visit important sites on another day. He was also a wealth of practical information regarding bathrooms (pay vs not, etc), where to purchase the most authentic items, tipping, bartering with vendors in the medina, etc.

Our driver was the consummate professional and transported us safely and comfortably each day in a new, pristine, 15-passenger van, providing water, healthy snacks, and a big smile. Sometimes he played Moroccan music, which we loved, and he was always ready to stop for breaks whenever we needed to stretch our legs or purchase a warm nous nous.

Our travel company was first-rate, attending to every detail with care. Our family has traveled together for many years and we all agree that this was our favorite trip! Thank you to our Zicasso travel partner!

This was our second trip with our travel agency, the first being in 2017. My wife had wanted, for a long time, to experience some of the European Christmas markets and this was a good year to do so. Based on our 2017 experience, we wanted to use the same company. When the Zicasso response to our travel request asked if we wanted to use them again, we enthusiastically responded yes!

As before, the staff worked closely with us to develop an itinerary that met our desires for multiple Christmas markets and the flexibility of a mostly self-guided visit. The unique insights of the staff proved incredibly helpful in developing a wonderful day-to-day itinerary full of detailed information and resources that were invaluable. Our first-day greeter and guide was amazing and we had almost daily contact with the staff (including some from our 2017 trip) via SMS or voice call, during which they shared ideas and suggestions for the day. They were also immediately available to provide assistance if needed. Luckily, we did not need any, but knowing they were there was very comforting.

They also provided a local mobile phone that was very useful for navigation (better than the built-in nav system in the rental car) and pre-programmed with all the numbers (restaurants, hotels, people, etc) associated with the trip. It came in very handy. The lodging and dining arrangements were superb, and based on our specific requests.

The company's support enabled us to see nine Christmas markets (eight in Germany and one in France), explore a bit of history, catch up with some friends, and have a delightful trip! We had the same experience as in 2017 and will definitely work with them again if our future travel plans include Germany or any other area they cover.

The trip to Egypt and Jordan was outstanding, not only for the sights, but for the level of service we received from all of Zicasso’s agents along the way. As expected, some of the guides were better than others, but they all did a good to outstanding job.
