Bonn - Discover Beethoven’s Germany with a Transfer to Bonn

The city of Bonn rises out of the banks of the Rhine River. Museums, the university campus, and the rounded peaks of the Sieben Mountains on the horizon bring to light the distinctive culture of the city known as the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven. Your train will arrive in Germany at Bonn’s main station, where your private transfer will greet you at the platform. You will venture to the heart of Bonn to find your luxurious accommodations that overlooks the rushing waters of the Rhine.

Upon your arrival, you will follow the timeline of Beethoven’s life by visiting the Beethoven-Haus Museum. The humble townhouse has become a gallery devoted to the life and times of the renowned composer. You can find artifacts, such as original scores, personal letters, instruments, and the last grand piano he owned on display. You can also find the giant ear trumpets the composer used to fight his deafness. In the cellar vault, you can experience the state-of-the-art 3D sound environment for a virtual and interactive rendition of “Fidelio,” which has been reimagined for the 21st century. The music will no longer feature only sound but is now a multi-sensory experience that bridges the classical score with modern technology.

Bonn - Depart for Home

The sounds of the lively streets of Bonn will return in the morning as shops and restaurants open their doors along the riverside. The stunning spire of Bonn Cathedral soars over the historic city at 515 feet tall, striking an imposing addition to the skyline. The elegant white facade of town hall will glint with gold trim as it acts as the backdrop to the lively market square. After breakfast, your private transfer will meet you in the hotel lobby and escort you to either Düsseldorf or Frankfurt airport, where you will check-in for your flight home.
