Zurich – Arrive in Switzerland to Enjoy Zurich’s Vibrant Atmosphere

Your plane will descend into Zurich Airport, and you can see the sporadic clusters of houses that spread across the high altitude plains. The lush trees and red rooftops resemble a pastoral painting as your plane reaches the gate and your private transfer awaits your arrival at baggage claim. Zurich is a vibrant, efficient city set at the mouth of Limmat River that feeds into Zurich Lake. The city is Switzerland’s largest and wealthiest, encompassing an area of nearly 34 square miles and reaching an altitude of 2,858 feet above sea level at its highest point. The streets embody the city’s chic atmosphere, filled with contemporary cafes, artsy locals, and winding lanes.

Tall church steeples imitate the surrounding mountaintops as the government has converted old factories into cultural centers. Creative living spaces add to the vibrant community life even in the expansive cityscape as your private transfer will escort you from the airport to your luxurious hotel located in the heart of the city. Your introduction to the city and its artistry comes with a visit to the Fraumunster, a 13th-century Cathedral originally founded as a women’s abbey in the 9th century. The slender blue skyline adds vigor and life to the undulating towers of the city. Marc Chagall designed and produced the five windows along the choir stalls, and the stained-glass scenes depict Biblical tales, from Elijah’s ascent to heavens to an angel calling for the world’s end. When the sunlight spreads through the glass, the stories are iridescent.

Italy, Switzerland Trip Review: Lake Como, Venice, St. Moritz, Lake Cruise, Cooking Class, Private Tours, 11 Days

We had a wonderful trip to Italy and Switzerland! Zicasso's tour operator did an excellent job with planning and executing the trip. The agents were always prompt with communications and details. Our hotel accommodations were all outstanding and our tour guides were as well.

We had one hiccup on our last day when a driver didn't show up, but the agency was quick to respond with a driver, so we were only delayed about 40 minutes.

We loved every minute of our trip and we would highly recommend the agency!

Switzerland Tour Review: Zermatt, Matterhorn, Scenery, Nature, 7-Day Trip

I used Zicasso's tour company for a trip with my wife and had an amazing experience. We planned a quick, seven-day visit and our travel designer and the team created the perfect itinerary for us. It included a bit of travel between cities (as requested), but allowed us to see all the key destinations in each city. Communication was excellent throughout and they worked with me to customize everything around our requests.

Once we arrived, we felt completely at ease, as they provided a folder with vouchers, maps, and a Swiss travel guide that made navigating stress-free. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a seamless, well-planned trip!

Italy, Switzerland Travel Review: Lake Como, Matterhorn, Hiking, 2 Weeks

Zicasso's tour company created an amazing itinerary. They were extremely responsive to our needs. They created an amazing first draft to work from. We then worked with our travel consultant to refine our itinerary. She was absolutely awesome. She responded quickly to all our questions and changes. Our final itinerary was amazing and so detailed that we had no problems following it. She even helped us make last-minute changes due to weather conditions in one city, allowing us to see the Matterhorn.
