After you have savored the flavors of the city, you will paint an authentic Azulejos tile with a master craftsman.

Day three will then have you traveling to the Douro Valley for a private wine tour. During your tour, you will venture to a winery and vineyard, where you can stomp grapes and prepare the wine for bottling. You will leave Porto the next day to visit an aromatic herb farm before continuing to Vila Nova de Gaia for the night. After your overnight visit in Vila Nova de Gaia, you will head to Lisbon, where you will be treated to a private tour of the city’s highlights. In the evening, you will learn how to bake Portugal’s beloved pastry: Pastel de Nata.

The next day, you will head to the countryside to shadow a shepherd on their sheep farm. This unique excursion will give you an intriguing and insightful glimpse into the pastoral world of Portugal’s sheep herders. In Ericeira, you will surf some of the best waves in Portugal with a local pro before having the afternoon to relax on the serene beaches.

Serpa will be your next stop. Here, you can explore the charming village and sample its famous sheep’s cheese. This trip was fantastic! My husband and I, along with my three daughters in their 20s, had the best time. Planning with Zicasso's travel expert was easy. She was quick to respond to emails, texts and calls before and during the trip.

We wanted some unique experiences, like making Portuguese filigree jewelry, and she found a great place for us! The hotels she selected were perfect for our larger group.
