Trani – A Tasty Puglia Welcome
The fishing port of Trani overlooks the Adriatic Sea, resembling the antique film set of an Italian seaside village. The sunlight washes over the palm trees lining the cobblestone promenade. Boat masts wade in the gentle wake of the water, rising like the decorative bell towers adorning the vintage skyline. The narrow lanes lead to the open views of the sea with the 12th-century San Nicola Pellegrino Cathedral dominating the shoreline at the weather’s edge. Your flight lands at Bari Karol Wojtyla Airport. Your private transfer greets you upon your arrival and escorts you to the charming streets of Trani.
Your five-star hotel effortlessly blends the enchanting historical grounds with modern luxury, inviting you to relax and enjoy the spa, views of the water, and traditional architecture garnished with opulence. Jasmine grows alongside arid wildflowers and cactus. The aroma of the water accentuates the refreshingly cool breeze. At dinner, you find the aromas of raw oysters dressed with a squeeze of lemon juice. You sample the Castel del Monte wine; a dry rose with slightly fruity aromas connoting hints of cherry and strawberry. The vibrant, crisp finish leaves you wanting more.

"È stata una meraviglia!" Zicasso’s travel specialist crafted the perfect trip for us. Nothing “off the rack.” No cities. Just pure, unique, authentic Sicily! She was available any time we had questions and turned requests around in the snap of a finger. If you want to have dinner in the middle of the Mediterranean as you watch Stromboli volcano erupt in the night, the travel specialist will arrange it. She always presented us with the unexpected. Grazie mille!

This trip to Puglia, Matera, and Naples was the third I've booked through Zicasso. Others were in Peru and Croatia. They have all been wonderful. Having a local travel agent who knows the intimate details of hotels, restaurants, and drivers is very helpful.

My wife and I consulted with a handful of travel agencies in order to pick the right one for us to curate our dream honeymoon, and I could not be happier with our final decision to trust Zicasso’s tour company with this task.
Our travel agent was amazing throughout the process of building our itinerary, choosing experiences that fit exactly what we were looking for in an Italy honeymoon.
Start to finish, our overall experience was seamless. We decided to pack a lot into 10 nights, visiting Tuscany, Venice, Sorrento, and finishing the trip with one night in Rome. The tour company perfectly constructed our itinerary in a way that did not make our experience feel rushed in any of these locations. We had ample time to relax and explore these beautiful places on our own, while also fitting in world-class experiences specific to the region in which we were staying, all hand-selected by the tour company and their local expertise.
Every experience we had was incredible. From a private pasta cooking class and wine tasting in Tuscany to a limoncello tour in a quiet, picturesque village along the Amalfi Coast, each will be an experience my wife and I will never forget.
I would recommend this travel company to anyone visiting Italy for the first time or even those who have been to Italy, but want to experience breathtaking excursions curated by a local team of experts.
Our honeymoon was all we dreamed of and more, and I look forward to having the opportunity to use them for our next adventure.

My husband and I had utilized the services of Zicasso for prior journeys to Italy, Southeast Asia, and Australia/New Zealand. For our recent trip to Matera and Puglia, I requested an agency located in Italy that specializes in travel to Italy. We selected a company that was on a magazine’s A-list of travel advisors.
Our travel consultant listened to and respected my requests for certain activities (private food, historical and boat tours, wine tastings, cheese making) and types of accommodations (properties that offered a shaded area to relax and read). She also emailed answers to my numerous detail-oriented questions (the curse of having personally worked as a tour guide). She sent a lovely gift to our first hotel and called halfway through our vacation to check in with us. Communication via text with WhatsApp was convenient and used frequently. Most importantly, when we had a problem with one of our accommodations, she followed up (even after our trip had ended) and graciously offered some compensation.

Zicasso’s travel agent built us an incredible itinerary for our honeymoon trip. We asked for a food-driven tour of Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, and she delivered. Our trip was filled with unforgettable bites and views. We learned so much about cooking in those regions and can’t wait to experiment at home.
When one visit didn’t pan out as expected, the travel agent quickly pivoted and booked us another experience immediately, and we had a lovely time. She also got us a reservation at our dream restaurant and we can’t thank her enough.
