The Most Magical Chapters of Our Journey

The Crown Jewels: Three experiences stood out above all. Our off-road adventure on the rugged shores of Inishmore with our guide felt like visiting another planet. An unforgettable horseback-riding trek through Killarney National Park was pure poetry. Finally, our coastal foraging tour with our guide in Kinsale gave us a wonderfully immersive connection to the wild seashore.

A Culinary Fairy Tale: The dining was extraordinary. We indulged in afternoon tea at our hotel in Cashel, exceptional seafood at a restaurant in Dublin and a restaurant in Killarney, and a world-class meal at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Galway. Best of all was celebrating our son's birthday at a restaurant in Galway, making his day unforgettable.

Dublin: History came alive on a captivating walking tour, at Croke Park, and during a deeply immersive Viking experience at Dublinia. The city wrapped us in lively energy, from the fun of the Viking tour to the panoramic views at the top of the Guinness Storehouse.

Belfast: A powerful day trip that felt like opening a history book. We listened to deeply moving local stories on a private black cab tour before exploring the majestic halls of Titanic Belfast.

The Ring of Kerry: The dramatic Rock of Cashel welcomed us into a countryside that enchanted us at every turn. We loved the sheepdog demonstration, the thatched cottages of the Kerry Bog Village, and the raw majesty of the Kerry Cliffs on Valentia Island.

Cork: Our day trip to Blarney Castle was exquisite. The vibrant, otherworldly gardens felt like stepping directly into a storybook, featuring unique plant displays unlike anything we have ever seen before.

Killarney: We loved a peaceful woodland walk to the sun-dappled waters of Torc Waterfall, unlocking mysteries at an escape room, and the fiery rhythm of an Irish dance show.

Galway: After crossing on the car ferry via the staggering Cliffs of Moher and the limestone moonscape of The Burren, we enjoyed high-octane sports fun at an indoor sports experience.

Connemara and Beyond: A grand finale defined by the lakeside beauty of Kylemore Abbey and forest ziplining at an adventure park. We beautifully closed our loop wandering the ancient grounds of Birr Castle and the peaceful paths of the National Stud and Japanese Gardens.

We didn’t just visit Ireland, we left with deep family connections, lifelong memories, and amazing new friends.

Overall, it was a wonderful trip.

Our driver was exceptional.

All hotel accommodations were good except for one castle hotel, which definitely does not deserve a five-star rating, and I would not include it on future itineraries. I can elaborate further if need be. Our hotel in Killarney and the castle in County Clare were the best of the bunch.

I would definitely add a sheepdog show to the itinerary; we saw one at the suggestion of our driver.

The walking tour of Adare was not worth it.

Ireland sure is a beautiful place.

Our trip went off exactly as planned. Our guide took us to a number of off-the-beaten-path sights that greatly enhanced our visit. There were a number of sights that were so commercialized that we did not stay long. We had a three-hour walking tour of Dublin that helped us get over jet lag on day one. We had a food tour of Galway on day seven that introduced us to the city in a wonderful way. Zicasso’s tour company did a great job setting it all up and making our vacation a real treat.

The true highlight of our trip, however, was our driver. He was far more than a driver. He quickly became an ambassador for his country, an outstanding storyteller, and a wonderful travel companion. His knowledge of Ireland's history, culture, and local traditions brought every destination to life. Along the way, he introduced us to some of his favorite local spots and shared stories that you simply won't find in a guidebook. Watching his beloved Galway hurling team qualify for the championship while we were there made the experience even more memorable and his enthusiasm for Ireland was contagious.

He was endlessly patient, flexible, and attentive. He anticipated our needs before we did and made sure we never missed a special viewpoint, photo opportunity, or worthwhile stop. It seemed like he knew someone everywhere we went and it was obvious why. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness left an impression on everyone he met.

In just one week, we experienced Dublin, Killarney, the Ring of Kerry, Galway, Blarney Castle, a fascinating sheepdog demonstration, some of the best chocolate we've ever tasted (Irish dairy really is that good!), the breathtaking Kerry Cliffs, the Cliffs of Moher, the spectacular landscapes of Connemara—our favorite region of the trip—and finished at the beautiful Slieve Donard in Northern Ireland. It was the perfect blend of history, scenery, culture, and fun.

This trip was our celebration of 25 years of marriage and we truly cannot imagine a better way to have marked the occasion. The travel company exceeded every expectation and our travel specialist's careful planning made it all possible.

If you're looking for an unforgettable Irish vacation, where every detail is taken care of, I recommend this travel company without hesitation. And if you have the opportunity, request our driver. It will be one of the best decisions you make. He didn't just show us Ireland; he helped us experience it.

This was the first part of a trip to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It included our children and grandchildren aged 15, 14, and 10; nine of us in total for eight days all over Ireland in an 11-person van. It was memorable beyond words. It was planned terrifically by Zicasso's travel company, with one exception, and our driver/guide was exceptional. We appreciated his knowledge, humor, and flexibility.

The tours and activities were excellent. We especially liked the Jeanie Johnston famine ship tour, the EPIC museum, the Book of Kells, the sheep dog tour, feeding a baby lamb, the falcon demonstration, and the many historic sites we saw.

Our hotel in Dublin, the hotel in Cork, and most especially the hotel in County Clare were fantastic and well worth the cost. The hotel in Kerry was good as well, but unless you are determined to be in downtown Galway, do not go to the one near Eyre Square. We should have planned to stay an extra day at the hotel/castle and drive into Galway. That was the only planning mistake. There is no way that hotel deserves a four-star rating; two-and-a-half for me.

We are now on the second part of the trip to Northern Ireland without the family, just my husband and I, and except for the rainy day that cancelled a planned boat trip, so far so good. We also have an excellent driver/guide.

We had a wonderful trip. Everything went smoothly. We liked that we were always in contact through WhatsApp. That was very helpful and gave us a security blanket.

Our itinerary was planned through a Zicasso travel expert. The guides/drivers she chose were terrific. They were full of information and stories of each place we visited, and they answered all of our questions. One of a few outstanding ones was in Scotland. We had him on two occasions and enjoyed his knowledge and wit. The knowledge of our guide in Edinburgh was outstanding. The tour in Dublin was with a super guide. He is sending us a recap of our tour. In Ireland, for our tour of Connemara and Kylemore Abbey, our guide was wonderful with his knowledge of the area and his charm and wit. We had a great time with him. In Killarney, we had a guide for the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula. He gave us a map with both days highlighted so we would remember where we were. He took us to the most beautiful places and had so much information and charm. We had two days with him and they were wonderful. Our Kilkenny guide went out of his way to get us as close to the Rock of Cashel. He also had so much information as we traveled. All these tour guides/drivers were so good. Our travel specialist did such a fantastic job of choosing this guides!!
