Day 1
Placencia – A Family Beach Holiday
The diverse ecosystem of Belize is apparent on the southeast Placencia Peninsula. The Caribbean Sea touches the edges of the eastern coast. Mangrove forests blossom along the edges of Placencia Lagoon outlining the western shore. The family lands at Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport in Belize City. The banks of one of the three canals coursing around the city are visible near the edges of the airport. The family boards a small plane for a 25-minute flight to the charms of the Placencia Peninsula. The sea breeze rushes across the runway. The kids point out the framing waters along the edges of the peninsula.
Your private transfer awaits your arrival at baggage claim and escorts the family to a relaxing resort amidst 22 acres of tropical gardens, sandy beach, and remarkable comfort. The family quickly settles into your luxurious suite overlooking the water. The kids are eager to dip their feet into the temperate sea. You can hear the water lapping at the beach from your room. You can even watch the kids run through the sand from the coziness of your private deck. Before dinner, you decide to spend some time in the refreshing pool. The infinity design makes the water look as though it expands into the indigo sea, reaching the horizon.

Zicasso's travel agents did an awesome job listening to our travel preferences and crafting an unforgettable trip for our family. We received several options for accommodations and experiences from their trusted partners, which were all incredible. Their team thought of everything and frequently checked in on us throughout the trip, providing dining recommendations and suggestions for slight changes in the travel schedule.
It was so nice to enjoy the trip and to know all of the details had been meticulously thought through and were managed behind the scenes. There was something for all of us: adventure, history, unforgettable experiences (swimming with sharks and sea turtles, reeling in lots of big fish, the ATM cave and Monkey River, and the private island resort we stayed at were all highlights!).
