Cairns – In Anticipation of Tropical Expedition
Cairns is a tropical city nestled between the lush rainforest spreading across the Great Dividing Range and the iridescent indigo waters of the Coral Sea. Palm trees line the street and sailboats wade in the marina with their masts swaying against the skyline. Cafes overlook the popular seaside esplanade. The scents of rich coffee and brick-oven pizza blend into the whirl of semi-sweet ocean air. Families dip their toes into the refreshing waters of the swimming lagoon overlooking the shoreline and flying foxes rest in the trees before venturing out in search of fresh mango. Your flight lands at Cairns Airport, where your private transfer meets you upon arrival.
You easily settle into the comforts of your luxurious hotel offering views of the quiet lull of water against the shore. Tropical gardens bloom with lush orchids and vibrant jasmine. The Botanic Gardens embodies the splendor of the exotic landscape by representing the diversity of flora over more than 90 acres. The grounds were laid in the late 19th century and also showcase more than 4,000 different species of plants from around the globe. Everything was top-notch, from great first contact with Zicasso’s travel specialist to finalization of itineraries, to wonderful recommendations for itineraries to hotel suggestions and, finally, the specific outfits for our daily excursions. It was an absolutely amazing trip. Zicasso’s travel specialist planned every little detail, with lots of nice surprises. From hotels to tours, they were all top-notch. We would recommend this travel specialist 100%.
We spent seven weeks traveling New Zealand and Australia and could not have put it together as nicely as he did, and we felt like we were treated to the best rooms and best seats at every stop. Do not go it alone, as there are too many details to put together, and we feel there was tremendous value in what we received.

Zicasso’s travel company did a phenomenal job with stays, tours, and activities. In particular, we loved our room at our hotel in Tasmania, our villa on Waiheke Island in NZ, and our room at our hotel in Melbourne. Our itinerary was well thought out and exposed us to exactly what we'd hope to see in Australia and New Zealand.

Zicasso’s travel specialist did a wonderful job scheduling a terrific adventure for us in Australia and New Zealand. We provided general goals and ideas for our travel, and she mapped out a terrific trip. She had discussions with us regarding selected options and helped us finalize selections. She did more for us than we realized with selections (upgraded seats to watch the penguin parade on Phillip Island, excellent private transport between airports, etc.). And she came through in flying colors when the airline lost our booking for a return flight (she was able to coordinate rebooking to give us peace of mind and elimination of stress). We highly recommend her and the travel company.
