Santiago – Arrival in South America
Touch down on the outskirts of scintillating Santiago, nestled between the calm blue waters of the Pacific, the teeth-like protrusions of the Andes, and filled with culture and history unlike any other Latin American capital. A private driver will be awaiting your arrival and will transport you to your elegant and perfectly located hotel, where you can rest and recover from your long journey before spending the afternoon exploring.
Your expertly guided tour of Santiago begins at the gorgeous Moneda Palace, a neoclassical marvel that is one of the only buildings of its kind on the continent. Turn next to the Plaza de Armas, the heart and soul of Santiago, surrounded by the venerable and august Metropolitan Cathedral, the stately Central Post Office Building, and the colonial Palacio de la Real Audiencia de Santiago. Then make your way to the Parque Forestal, a gorgeous urban park that is home to two of Chile’s greatest art museums, before making the climb up San Cristobal Hill to gain an inspiring panorama of the city below and the ocean beyond. My trip was an incredible adventure, which I feel fortunate to have experienced. The excursions were well chosen and hotels outstanding. The logistics of a long trip with over six destinations and activities in the desert, mountains, and urban areas were artfully arranged by Zicasso’s travel specialist and supported by vendors and transit agencies. I had a support network that allowed me to totally enjoy the beautiful and diverse environments, cultures, and activities.

We take great pleasure in saying our Patagonian adventure through Zicasso and the tour operator was near perfect. Our sincere thanks to our travel specialist and everyone at the tour operator for the red-carpet treatment we received at every destination on our itinerary: namely Buenos Aires, Iguazú, Bariloche, El Calafate, and El Chalten. We commend everyone involved in the personalized communication, planning and execution of our two exciting weeks traveling throughout Argentina.
Beginning in December 2025, the travel specialist and his team worked out every detail of travel in Argentina's fall season: all our domestic flights, customized tours, airport transfers, and, most importantly, the most knowledgeable, engaging guides we could ever have imagined. We can't make enough positive comments about our first Patagonian adventure.
Every driver arrived promptly, putting us immediately at ease. Every evening, team members messaged us on WhatsApp to remind us of the next day's transfers and tours. They followed up immediately with answers to any questions we had.
All of our guides were exceptional. Their passion and depth of knowledge made our tours more fascinating and entertaining than any we've ever experienced. We could not have planned anything remotely close to the guides the tour operator included for each tour.
We will most assuredly utilize the services of the travel specialist at the best tour company we have ever found for adventures in South America.

It was a very well-organized trip with a lot of attention to detail. The tour guides were professional and kind. I fell sick the first day in Santiago and the hotel staff were extremely helpful with organizing a doctor and helping me get appropriate medication in the middle of the night. Patagonia is a truly wonderful place and the arrangements were excellent. Thank you.
