Johannesburg – Overnight With Mandela’s Heritage
Johannesburg can quickly flip certain preconceptions about Africa. Far from images of an underdeveloped continent, the city is a colorful mass of towers that is surrounded by luscious green plateaus. After landing at O.R. Tambo International Airport, you will be transferred to Sandton, which is Johannesburg’s most upmarket neighborhood. Hidden away here is Nelson Mandela’s former presidential retreat. It has been converted into a luxury, boutique hotel without letting go of any of the old magic and heritage. After checking-in, you can indulge in a couple’s treatment at the spa before dining with the privilege of one of Africa’s most celebrated chefs. The day is designed to be slow and relaxed and a chance to ease into your vacation after a long flight.

Our family had a blast in South Africa, thanks to Zicasso's travel designer. She was meticulous in the planning and gave some good suggestions that worked well for our group. From fast-track tickets up to Table Mountain to food recommendations, she curated an itinerary that made the trip a breeze.
The guide in Cape Town was a wellspring of knowledge. We learned so much about the country from her, from history to economics and culture.
The safari portion of the trip was most memorable. The resort in Hoedspruit was just what the family needed.
We will definitely look up this travel company for future trips.

We just returned from a fantastic two-week trip to Africa, coordinated by our Zicasso travel agent. We started in South Africa (Cape Town/Franschhoek), then went up to Zimbabwe (Victoria Falls), and to Botswana (Chobe National Park and Okavango Delta). Every step of the trip was well coordinated and seamless. The guides and accommodations were fantastic and comfortable.
I can't say enough positive things about our travel agent. She is the most detail-oriented and responsive travel agent I have ever worked with. She has extensive knowledge of travel in Africa and was able to provide outstanding recommendations for every question we had for her. She checked in with us regularly during the trip to make sure everything was going well, which was greatly appreciated. She genuinely cared about providing us with the best experience possible. I highly recommend using her and her agency if you are thinking about traveling to Africa!
