London – Luscious London
London is a city that stands at the top of everyone’s destination list, filled with vast history and captivating heritage. Your private transfer will await your arrival at the airport, ready to escort you to your sensational hotel in the heart of the city. Glass-topped boats may float down the River Thames reflecting the Gothic exterior of Parliament. Teahouses can fill with people ordering tiers of cucumber sandwiches and sweet pistachio cakes. People will stroll along the pebbled walkways of the park as elements of the city and country’s imperial past acting as embellishments to the contemporary culture.
London – A Different World
Your guide will meet you at your hotel after breakfast and lead you into the cosmopolitan splendor of London. Westminster Abbey is situated near Parliament and was erected in the 11th century by Edward the Confessor. For over seven centuries, patriarchs were crowned in the abbey and buried in the catacombs. At the North Transept, you find Poet’s Corner, where statues of numerous poets and writers commemorate scholars like Sir Walter Scott and William Shakespeare. A familiar herbaceous aroma lingers in the air, and the regal poses of historic poets add to the grace of the cloister.
Day 3 - 4
London – Explore at Leisure
After breakfast, the day is yours to experience London as you wish, from strolling along the 350 acres of Hyde Park to venturing into the subterranean world of London to view Churchill’s War Rooms. The majesty of London runs so deep that it is impossible to see everything in a single day. The Globe Theatre sits alongside the water commemorated by a small museum near the more contemporary Tate Modern. You can visit King’s Cross Station to see Platform 9 ¾ from the Harry Potter series or The British Museum's more than 13 million ancient artifacts.
Paris – Under the English Channel
Your private transfer will meet you at the hotel and escort you to St. Pancras International, where you board the comforts of your luxury train car. The Chunnel opened in 1994, connecting Folkestone, England to Calais, France by 31 miles underneath the English Channel. When you reach Paris, your private transfer will greet you at the train station and escort you to the comforts and spectacular views of your hotel. The aroma of mouthwatering macaroons may drift from Angelina, Audrey Hepburn’s favorite café in the city, across the boulevard from the Tuileries Gardens providing the perfect welcoming ambiance.
Paris – Towers and Triomphe
Morning in Paris is immediately different than morning in London. The air has a different aroma, one filled with fresh pastries and sweet, fruity tarts. After your meal, your guide meets you at the hotel and whisks you out into the city famed for its romantic architecture and artistic sensibilities. Place de la Concorde is one of the largest public squares in France measuring more than 21 acres and touching the edge of the glamorous Champs Elysees. The trickling water may add to the classical ambiance.
Day 7 - 8
Paris – Exclaiming Paris Exploration
The day is yours to enjoy Paris at your whim and pleasure. You could spend the day in regal opulence at the Palace of Versailles or wander through the limitless wonders of the Louvre. The Musee d’Orsay decorates the Old Train station on the famed Left Bank. The museum opened in the 1980s and houses collections of French artists between 1848 and 1915. The large decorative timepiece emanates Beaux-Arts design. You can find the famous Renoir, Bal du Moulin de la Galette, or Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette, which was painted in 1876 in the iconic impressionist’s style.
Rome – Lights to Eternity
Your private transfer will escort you to the airport for your flight to the Eternal City, Rome. Rome has a skyline of historic cathedrals, built with stone dating back to the Roman Empire. Palm trees line the boulevards and rustle in the breeze. The aroma of zesty orange trees gives way to the scent of freshly made pasta and herbaceous basil. After settling into your luxurious hotel, the ancient history may become visceral, placing you at the center of the grand palaces and wondrous domes, elegant artwork and mouthwatering cuisine.
Rome – City in the Spotlight
Your guide will meet you at the hotel after breakfast and take you deeper into the historic center of the city, touching the Colosseum and wandering into the Pantheon. The edifice was erected between 118 and 128 AD with powerful granite Corinthian columns supporting the pediment linking to the rotunda. The Oculus floods the interior with natural light, moving with the shifting sun. A statue of Madonna and Child marks the tomb of Renaissance master Raphael. The marble figures stand watch with delicate features inside the decadent pagan building refurbished as a 17th-century church.
Rome – Roman Holiday
You can savor the foam of a frothy cappuccino, even dipping biscotti into the coffee to absorb some of the extra flavors, and adding a little crunch. The day is yours in Rome to relish in the city as you please, so visit the Vatican Museum to see the Sistine Chapel or enjoy the energetic ambiance around the Spanish Steps. The Galleria Borghese was established in the early 20th century in the former Villa Borghese Pinciana. The villa was constructed in the 17th century. The aroma of orange zest enlivens the morning around the estate in the summer.
Rome - Roman Expression
With another day at your leisure in Rome, you can bask in the city's exceptional beauty at your pace. You can wander through the dynamic galleries of the Diocletian Baths or witness the masterpieces of Raphael on display in Villa Farnesina. You could also venture outside of the ancient city gates to view the preserved catacombs of St Callixtus. Your guide can lead you 65 feet underground to find the labyrinth beneath the edges of Rome where ancient Christians buried their dead and decorated their tombs with fascinating iconography.
Rome – Depart to Home
In the morning you find the sounds of the city coursing around the soothing Tiber River. The Castel Sant’Angelo rises above the banks of the river with a cylindrical tower, once home to historic popes and commissioned by Emperor Hadrian. The glories of Rome’s past continue, giving it the name the Eternal City.
