Stepping into Chile’s History: 10-Day Chilean Excursion

This morning, you will have an early morning and breakfast at your hotel before meeting your private driver in the lobby to embark on your first full day on Easter Island. You will arrive at Ahu Tongariki just in time to watch the sunrise. Once you have had your fill of Ahu Tongariki, you will continue on a tour of Easter Island’s most noteworthy sights and destinations. During your tour, you will visit the illustrious Rano Raraku National Park, which is the site of the island’s main Moai quarry and where you will explore the park to learn more about these unique, stone-faced statues. In the evening, you will be returned to Hanga Roa.

Today, you will be exploring the Pacific Ocean during a snorkeling or scuba diving adventure. In the afternoon, you will be led to the extraordinary Anakena Beach, where you will spend the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure. Today, you will indulge in an incredible trekking excursion through the volcanic hills of the island. In the afternoon, you will have the option to join your guide for a cycling tour or a private trek through several of the Atacama’s most noteworthy sites. Today, you will fly to Santiago. Upon your arrival in Chile’s capital city, you will be met at baggage claim by your driver and transferred to your extravagant hotel. Once you have had plenty of time to settle in and freshen up from your flight, you will begin your exploration of this bustling metropolis. You will be provided with a private tour of the city’s most noteworthy cultural and historical sites. Once your tour has concluded, you will attend a Chilean cultural performance of song and dance that will be accompanied by a traditional dinner and a regional wine pairing.

You will begin your day’s tour with a visit to Santiago’s fascinating Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art.
