Family Beach Vacations

Our family had an absolutely amazing experience traveling through Portugal, thanks to Zicasso’s travel specialist and her company. Every detail of our vacation was thoughtfully planned and customized to fit our family's interests, making the trip completely stress-free and enjoyable.

We spent the first half of our trip in Lisbon, with unforgettable day trips to Sintra, Nazaré, and Óbidos. Our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and brought Portugal's history and culture to life. She was also wonderful with our family and made every excursion engaging for both adults and children.

Our travel specialist was outstanding from start to finish. She greeted us at the airport, coordinated all of our transportation, checked in with us throughout the trip, and ensured everything ran seamlessly. Her attention to detail and genuine care for her clients truly set her apart.

For the second half of our vacation, we traveled to Lagos in the Algarve. Our kids had an incredible time at the waterpark and loved kayaking through the stunning sea caves. These experiences were perfectly chosen for our family and created lasting memories.

One of the things we appreciated most was that all of our guides and drivers were Portuguese. This gave us an authentic perspective on the country, its culture, and its people that we never would have experienced otherwise.

I highly recommend our travel specialist and her team to anyone looking for a unique, personalized, and memorable trip to Portugal. Their professionalism, local expertise, and outstanding service made this one of the best family vacations we have ever taken.

I'd make this 4.5 stars if I could. We had a five-star experience with a few glitches, but they were addressed quickly and kindly.

Zicasso’s travel specialist is a gem. She goes out of her way to clearly communicate what to expect, who you'll be with, and the times for meets and activities. She made us feel special, as though we were her personal guests rather than just clients. We had a luggage issue that she went out of her way to help resolve.

We asked to stay in nice places with AC and king-size beds, and she delivered. All places were great and a bit different from what we're used to and from each other. Most of the drivers were also a lot of fun to be with and spoke at least reasonably good English.

I offer two suggestions for those who use this service. One, always verify meet times and contact info that you receive. Two, don't pre-book two meals in a day if you're staying at a place that offers breakfast. It's just too much food too close together.

We had an 11-day vacation. We chose variety rather than immersion, so went from Porto to Douro Valley to Alentejo to Lisbon to Lagos in the Algarve area, with some stops in between and drivers who brought us everywhere. Next time, we'd likely choose two or three places for a more immersive experience.

I highly recommend this travel company and the travel specialist in particular.

Zicasso's travel company did a great job with all the details. Every pick-up ride was waiting, small planes were as scheduled, and camps and lodges were expecting us. Our private guide was amazing. Camps were fantastic, with wonderful staff who became family.

Our lodge at Ngorongoro Crater was a nice change from camps at the end of the week. A key to the intelligent schedule was to send us to West Serengeti first. We caught the migration in its full glory. Most safari travelers we met did it in reverse, starting at Ngorongoro, and may have missed much of the migration. As a “lucky” bonus, white rhinos were introduced at Ngorongoro two days before we got there and we got to observe the interesting reaction of the existing black rhinos to these larger relatives. We saw every common animal species that exists in the Serengeti. That included 85 different lions and 13 different cheetahs.

This trip exceeded all our expectations and the direction and oversight by the travel company was spot-on. I can recommend this tour operator without any reservation.

Zicasso’s travel company did a phenomenal job with stays, tours, and activities. In particular, we loved our room at our hotel in Tasmania, our villa on Waiheke Island in NZ, and our room at our hotel in Melbourne. Our itinerary was well thought out and exposed us to exactly what we'd hope to see in Australia and New Zealand.

Zicasso’s travel specialist curated the perfect trip for our family in Portugal, with the perfect balance of guided tours and downtime. We would not have gotten such a great feel for the country on our own, and our guide was a gem!! Overall, it was an incredible vacation.
