Ho Chi Minh City - Hello to Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City is still affectionately called Saigon by the locals. The streets are rambunctious with people. Ben Thanh Market bustles with vendors and glows with vibrant fresh produce. French colonial architecture continues to line the old city along Dong Kohi Street like pleasant jewels. Step into the whirlwind of the city and the family is quickly swept up in the fast pace of boutique shops and street vendors, skyscrapers and layered charm. Your private transfer meets you at the airport and takes you to a quiet hotel located in the center of the city. Cycles roam down ancient streets. A woman wears a conical hat to protect her from the glistening sun. She balances two shallow baskets on a pole across her shoulders as she walks to the flower market. Each basket glows with vibrant yellow apricot flowers.

Vietnam, Cambodia Tour Review: Hanoi, Siem Reap, Saigon, Angkor Wat, Lan Ha Bay Cruise, 14-Day Trip

We worked with Zicasso's travel consultant at the tour company for several months in planning our two-week trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. She was very accommodating and helpful, never pushy or trying to upsell us. When we had questions, she was responsive and always prompt. We really appreciated her setting up a "fast-pass" through immigration at the Hanoi and Siem Reap airports when we arrived late in the evening.

Although our itinerary was busy, with seven flights, five cities, one cruise, and multiple guides and drivers, everything went smoothly. She checked in with us throughout the trip, keeping us updated, and even took us to lunch in Saigon. We had a very memorable time on our trip and have the tour company to thank for everything. Cảm ơn!

Vietnam, Cambodia Vacation Review: Angkor Wat, 2 Weeks

The team did a terrific job of determining what we wanted to do, see, etc., and built a great itinerary. Once we were confirmed, they kept in touch with updates and ensured we had everything we needed. They also kept in touch while we were in the country, which was appreciated. They helped us with dinner reservations, etc. Our guides, hotels, etc., were excellent.

Vietnam Trip Review: Hanoi, Hoi An, Tam Coc, Old Quarter, Cyclo Tour, Boat Ride, Food Experience, Local Cuisine, 12-Day Tour

Our trip to Northern and Central Vietnam was excellent, and we were so impressed by our Zicasso travel company. Our travel agent was extremely responsive prior to and during our trip. In the planning phase of our trip, he expertly answered all of our questions and adjusted our itinerary, as needed, promptly. During our time in Vietnam, he checked in by phone to ensure our trip was going smoothly.

We were very happy with our itinerary, the sites we visited, and all of our guides and drivers. We could tell the itinerary was planned with a lot of care and attention to detail. Just as a couple of examples, on days with longer drives, we had plenty of rest stops and opportunities to get coffee and snacks, and our guides did a great job of mixing indoor and outdoor activities to ensure we stayed as cool as possible as our trip to Vietnam was during the summer.

We'd also like to highlight the meals that were included as part of our tour. They were mostly set menus and the travel company did a wonderful job selecting each dish and taking us to restaurants with delicious food! It was a fantastic experience all-around.
