Lake Nakuru – Jump Right into Kenya on Adventures
Today you will arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will be welcomed by rising temperatures and a local representative. Wasting no time at all, we will transfer you out of the city and into the bush, arriving two hours later on the stunning and tranquil shores of Lake Nakuru National Park.
Reaching the park in the midafternoon, you will have time to take a safari as the sun sets over the landscape as the bush livens. This the Rift Valley region revolves around Lake Nakuru, which occupies nearly a third of the entire park. The shores of this alkaline lake are typically so covered by greater and lesser flamingos that the blue shoreline becomes unrecognizable amidst the sea of pink. Pelicans provide small reliefs of white in this cotton candy landscape, with up to 450 other species of birds flying overhead. The lake truly is a birder’s paradise. Trucks at Lake Nakuru drive near the shores, and visitors are able to leave the vehicle to approach the lake edge on foot. This allows you to immerse yourself in this spectacular avian display while the sky transforms with the sunset.

The trip was exhilarating and the job done by our Zicasso travel agent was second to none.
Our trip was 20 days, with multiple locations, flights, and activities. Our agent arranged things so well, we hardly had to do anything. Guides and contacts always arrived on time and led us through each location efficiently and safely.
The gorilla trek in Rwanda was amazing. On safari, we saw the Big Five by the end of day two and saw many, many unique animal encounters. We did a walking safari one day, which was also a highlight. Our agent recommended the Lewa Conservancy as a stop and this was wonderful for seeing many black and white rhinos.
I would give our travel company a 10/10 for personal care and attention. I highly recommended them for a high-quality, memorable African adventure!

This was pretty much the trip we had envisioned coming to life! Zicasso's travel agents on the ground, assisting us, were on top of things and made the trip go super-smooth. Thanks!
The camps we stayed at were amazing, the food was fabulous at both camps, the hotel in Nairobi was very nice; all in all, a great trip. Thank you so much for putting together my bucket list, including the experience with elephants in Tsavo East National Park!

We had a very good travel experience with Zicasso's tour company. Our travel agent was organized and responsive to our requests before the trip, and he stayed in communication with us throughout the trip. We traveled as a couple and were delighted with the intimate and comfortable safari camp and the luxurious city and Diani Beach accommodations. Our guides in the cities and in the Maasai Mara National Reserve were knowledgeable and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience.
