Siem Reap – The Gateway to Cambodian Culture

Siem Reap is more than just the gateway to Angkor Wat. The city sits on the banks of the Siem Reap River and bustles with the traditional music and theater as the aromas of freshly baked baguettes mix with bai sach chrouk, a traditional pork and rice dish. The main streets brush against the central market and are filled with an endless whirlwind of energy. Shadow-puppet theaters tell traditional myths projected onto a canvas, like a movie made of silhouettes. Your private transfer meets you at the airport and takes you to your luxurious hotel.

In the evening, you will visit the celebrated night market, known as much for its merchandise as for its magnificent food. The colors of locally made textiles are vibrant. The walkways are lined with pants, shirts, watches, and an endless variety of goods, from purses to shoes. The scent of fried rice and sautéing noodles encompasses the area. You find the stellar flavor of Khmer red curry, a coconut milk based dish with a delicate touch of lemon grass. The evening settles into night and you find comfort in your hotel, already welcomed into the fabulous world of Cambodia.

Thailand, Laos, Cambodia Tour Review: Angkor Wat, 2 Weeks

I was pleased by how seamless and satisfying the entire trip was. Working with Zicasso’s travel specialist, I was able to choose the sites I wanted to see and select the perfect hotels to complement the trip.

The guides chosen for us were not only informative but also very responsive to our personal needs and the changes required to adapt our schedule to the tail effects of a surprise monsoon.

Connections to airline flights and new cities went flawlessly.

The overall experience exceeded my expectations. I will recommend the travel specialist and Zicasso to friends and family.

Vietnam, Cambodia Tour Review: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Street Food Tour, Vespa Ride, Angkor Wat, 2 Weeks

We had an amazing time in Vietnam and Cambodia. The hotels, transportation, and guides all went very smoothly. Zicasso’s travel specialist was great to work with. Having an expert with local knowledge was very helpful. He also went above and beyond, adjusting our trip itinerary due to severe flooding in Hoi An. He also hosted a welcome dinner at his home, which was a treat.

The team did a terrific job of determining what we wanted to do, see, etc., and built a great itinerary. Once we were confirmed, they kept in touch with updates and ensured we had everything we needed. They also kept in touch while we were in the country, which was appreciated. They helped us with dinner reservations, etc. Our guides, hotels, etc., were excellent.
