Zicasso's travel company was an absolute joy to work with. Our travel expert and her team listened to every bit of information we shared regarding what we were looking for in a trip to Greece. No one else paid as close attention.

The hotels, tours, and transportation were exceptional. They were always on time and delivered what they promised. The 24/7 concierge service we received was awesome, no matter how insignificant our questions were. They stayed on top of things that might impact our travel, like a strike, and communicated with us and made new arrangements efficiently. We would give more than five stars if we could.

We had just the right mix of tours. We got to see places on driving tours that we would not have done on our own. The hotels were great, especially our hotel in Quebec City. The only issue in Montreal was a new building under construction across from the hotel. Construction started at 7am.

Austria was spectacular! It really blew us away and the trip and country as a whole exceeded our expectations.

In advance, setting up the itinerary with Zicasso's tour operator was seamless—they were very prompt to change details and move things around to give us the exact trip we had in mind. The interactive itinerary web pages they generated were great—we could look through the timeline and fill in comments with our thoughts/suggestions on each item, making for an easy back-and-forth.

We loved the pace and layout of our trip—it gave us enough time to relax and do some exploring of our own, while at the same time hitting all the highlights of each city we visited. The hotels chosen were exceptional and exactly what we were looking for. All of the guides and drivers chosen by the tour operator did a great job and we liked receiving the information of our guide/driver the night before, with a contact number and confirmation. Throughout the trip, the tour operator checked in multiple times and was readily available to assist with any problems or questions.

Highlights were the city tour in Vienna, seeing an opera in Vienna, Wachau Valley scenery (although in hindsight, we should have spent more time here!), Innsbruck town, and our favorite—a day hike in the Alps.

This was incredibly helpful on our trip. A lot of the planning was super-useful for navigating travel, suggestions on locations/things to do, and recommendations for food and activities. It was easy to plan with the team at Zicasso's tour company and they were very responsive to any questions or concerns.

We were very pleased, overall, with a first experience with an online travel company.

Problems/Suggestions:

The travel company should confirm pick-up time/details with drivers the same or previous day. Our driver from Merano to Bolzano train station was late and we had to initiate contact with the travel company. Our driver stated she had the time written incorrectly on the calendar! We still made our train, but with some stress. Also, instructions for printing out our train tickets at the kiosk were not accurate/did not work. Fortunately, our driver stepped in with an agent (in Italian) so we didn’t miss our train.

Our hotel on Purger Street in Ortisei and our hotel in Bolzano had disappointingly unfriendly reception staff. Even upon arrival, we were not greeted warmly. We received very perfunctory service; they appeared to be bothered when we asked for assistance. The hotels themselves were excellent in accommodations, cleanliness, and breakfast service.

Our hotel on Purger Street did not have AC, as was promised in our itinerary.

I was connected with the travel company through Zicasso. What an amazing trip! Many thanks to our travel designer of the travel company!!!

Our travel designer and her expert team planned a trip to Sicily for my husband and I, my siblings, and my sister-in-law. We were six and everything about the trip was executed beautifully and with great attention to every detail.

We chose to go to Taormina, Cefalù, Palermo, and Ortigia Island, flying direct in and out of Catania. Our travel designer arranged all transfers by private van for the six of us and we never had to worry where or when we were going anywhere. She was able to make changes on the spot and accommodate our every wish.

Planning the trip was so easy, as she was available to chat with me on the weekends to answer questions and clarify details. She even made dinner reservations in every city. I cannot say enough about her willingness to be available and the choices she helped us make. From the terrific winery near Mount Etna to a drive up Etna, guided tours (we had an incredibly fabulous art historian showing us the churches of Palermo), a day at leisure on the beaches of Cefalù, and an amazing cooking class in Palermo, where we learned about and visited the markets, and made pasta and cannoli, every experience was better than the one before it.

We definitely recommend, with five stars, the travel company. Have them plan your trip to Italy! This was my first time back to Europe since 2004 and it was stellar!

I surely will use this company when I plan new trips to Italy, and Zicasso as well!

When we were trying to decide where to go, we chatted with travel partners in several European destinations. Zicasso chooses the best of the best and our experiences with each of them was exceptional!

We will be back to Zicasso when we travel to other destinations!!
