Today, you will tuck into breakfast and drive to Arusha, where you will board a domestic flight bound for the sun-washed shores of Tanzania’s beloved archipelago, Zanzibar. Arriving in Zanzibar, you will be treated to views of rugged overgrown islands and their postcard-perfect white-sand beaches. A short transfer will lead you to a dreamy resort on Unguja island overlooking the ocean in the quaint, quiet town of Kiwengwa. From candlelit dinners with your toes in the sand to poolside evenings with cocktails in hand, you will luxuriate in your peaceful resort as the sunset sweeps Zanzibar’s skies.

Today, you will have plenty of time to explore the seaside and partake in water-based activities in the crystal clear sea of Unguja. How you choose to bask in Zanzibar’s unbridled beauty is entirely up to you, with sunset dhow cruises on traditional wooden boats allowing you to slowly soak up the island splendors and unending views as well as complimentary windsurfing providing thrill-seeking spirits with a day of action-packed oceanic adventure. Your resort will also boast a gorgeous spa center where you may replenish your energy during a holistic therapy against a backdrop of the sparkling sea.

You may wake up early to meet the sun as it rises over Zanzibar’s coastline. Shortly after first light, you may join a knowledgeable captain aboard their trawler and set out to sea to try your luck at big game fishing some distance from shore. You will hope to catch an array of indigenous fish, some of which you may have to release, and others locals will happily prepare for you on grills when you return to land.
