Detailed Description
There are parts of Italy and Greece you cannot miss. The Colosseum in Rome, the Sistine Chapel, the Athens Acropolis and the amphitheater at Epidaurus are all essential. However, these two countries have more than just storied histories and attractions. There is the feeling of Italy that you can savor on the cobbled streets, sense it in villages standing on cliffs, and explore it in destinations full of local quirks. Fly across the Mediterranean to Greece, and there is a contrasting feeling to find. In places like Santorini and Nauplia, you can discover a true impression of Greece, so full of mystery and magic, different from the temples of Zeus and Athena.
Your handcrafted tour of highlights will be centered upon the diversity of its destinations, with one week spent in Italy and one week spent in Greece. Fly to Naples to begin and spend your first couple of nights on the cliffs with Sorrento as your base and the Isle of Capri your excursion for the next day. Then get to know Naples, a city of endless masterpieces and local flavor, rough around the edges but delightful to discover. Finish your Italian leg in Rome with private tours through the Eternal City and Vatican City, world-famous highlights complemented by the tones and hues of modern day. You will see that the Italian experience is just as much about a quiet espresso on a piazza, as standing in the Colosseum.
Fly from Rome to Athens and travel to the coast, starting your Greek experience with nights spent on the sea in Nauplia. Spend your day amid ancient history in Epidaurus and Mycenae, and then spend a couple of nights in Athens, your hotel in the shadow of the mighty Acropolis. With an expert as your guide, you can admire odes to antiquity and see what remains of the vast old empire. From the Greek capital, it is a quiet ferry ride along the Mediterranean to the island of Santorini, that place of postcard blue and white fame. Relax on the black beaches, take your time in the villages, and soak up the soothing atmosphere of this summertime retreat. Contrasts are everywhere, and as you fly home, you might make the comparisons, Santorini versus Athens, Santorini versus Sorrento, the highlights of Italy and Greece that will linger in your memory for a long time.

We had a fantastic time and Zicasso's tour operator did an excellent job organizing every detail of our trip. Drivers and guides were always punctual, and the itinerary was perfectly balanced—full days, without ever feeling rushed.
Some real highlights for us were Herculaneum, the Pantheon, the Vatican, and our unforgettable Capri boat tour. Our guide brought Pompeii's history to life in a way that made it feel like stepping back in time and the Naples street food tour was delicious and nostalgic—her pizza fritta instantly took me back to the calzones I grew up with in Niles, Ohio. Our driver was with us for several days and made every transfer feel effortless.
There was a small hiccup at the very end with a trip planner, but it was minor compared to the overall quality of the trip. The organization, communication, and attention to detail throughout made this a truly memorable experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with this tour agency again. We had a fantastic time and the tour company did an excellent job organizing every detail of our trip.

Zicasso's travel company made our bucket-list trip to Greece come to life! They organised all our tours and transportation, worked with us to provide activities that were in line with our interests, and even gave detailed information on suggested itineraries for our free days.
Some highlights included the walking tour(s) of Athens, our trip to see Santorini, and the best steak I have ever had at a beach hotel in Naxos! Our only suggestion is that we went on a day tour to Delos which was self-guided. There is so much history there though that a guided tour would have been helpful. I would definitely recommend booking your tour with them!

We had a wonderful experience with our Zicasso travel specialist while planning our vacation in Greece. We had a group that consisted of two families; in total, eight people. Our travel specialist gave us recommendations based on the types of activities we wanted to do and the types of islands we were hoping to experience.
We stayed two nights in Athens, three nights on Naxos, and three nights in Santorini. The accommodations were fantastic! Every tour guide and driver was helpful and so kind.
When we wanted to add a stop in Naxos for an impromptu lunch, our guide was happy to detour and bring us to a place with the best gyros that the locals really enjoy! Everyone made us feel at home. Thank you for a beautiful trip and all the lovely memories!

My husband and I were thrilled with our recent trip to Italy that Zicasso’s travel designer put together. We began by attending a family friend’s wedding, held in Ravello, on the Amalfi Coast. Due to my husband’s mobility issues, we were met by a driver and headed to the Amalfi Coast. The driver was first class and the trip was very comfortable.
After the wedding festivities, we were able to have the most wonderful experiences visiting the towns of Amalfi and Positano, and our base for one week was in beautiful Sorrento. We attended a cooking class and enjoyed eating what we prepared. We had in-depth learning opportunities in Naples and Sorrento. Every guide we had spoke excellent English and was so knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed Pompeii! A super-fun day was had on the small group tour of Capri. The crew was fantastic and very accommodating in consideration of my husband’s mobility issues.
From beginning to end everything went well. The use of a messaging app was great for making sure everyone was on the same page.
The only thing that was a disappointment was the pizza in Naples. It wasn’t the best.
The hotel in Sorrento was phenomenal - it couldn’t have been better. The view of Mt. Vesuvius from our balcony helped create memories we will have forever. The hotel in Rome was also very nice. It was right in the middle of the main attractions.
We are very happy with our experience with this travel company and would not hesitate to recommend it!
