Beaches glisten beneath the moonlight, and sounds echo through alleyways of coral houses. Wild dolphins will play as you swim alongside them, and tropical colors will greet you at spice plantations and reefs. Welcome to the most exotic island of them all, where white sand escapism meets ancient heritage in the Indian Ocean. This one-week tour covers Zanzibar’s key highlights, having you stay at beaches on two sides of the island with three nights in Stone Town as well.

Day 1
Zanzibar Town to Nungwe – White Sand and Escapism
Small coral cliffs will provide the jagged backdrop to Nungwe’s sand, with the beach turning into a series of bays at high tide. At low tide, you can walk for hours. When the water rises, it creates privacy as each beach becomes cut off from the next. Your resort hotel will be perched on these coral cliffs, with barefoot access to the sand and plenty of sunny and shady spaces to lounge throughout the day. It will be a one-hour transfer from Zanzibar’s only airport, and from this northern tip, the Indian Ocean will seem endless. Just gaze out and soak up the views, especially when the tide comes in and the turquoise colors come so near.

Reviews of Zicasso's Referral Service

Zicasso’s trip coordinator was very easy to work with. I asked for several modifications to the itinerary, which she handled expediently and everything went on without a hitch. The tour operator was excellent. They met with us "in the field" to answer any questions and I had a direct line to them in Tanzania for any issues. It was nice to deal with someone in the U.S. while in the planning stage. Not necessary, but definitely a luxury.

The trip was the best we have ever had. Africa is a very special place. Zicasso's travel expert did a fantastic job of organizing the itinerary. The only disappointment was that we were not scheduled to see the mass migration across the river.

The trip was exhilarating and the job done by our Zicasso travel agent was second to none.
Our trip was 20 days, with multiple locations, flights, and activities. Our agent arranged things so well, we hardly had to do anything. Guides and contacts always arrived on time and led us through each location efficiently and safely.
The gorilla trek in Rwanda was amazing. On safari, we saw the Big Five by the end of day two and saw many, many unique animal encounters. We did a walking safari one day, which was also a highlight. Our agent recommended the Lewa Conservancy as a stop and this was wonderful for seeing many black and white rhinos.
I would give our travel company a 10/10 for personal care and attention. I highly recommended them for a high-quality, memorable African adventure!

Without exaggeration, this was the most amazing trip of my life. Everything was perfect, from the itinerary to the lodging, food, and guides. We saw so much and so many varied topographies. We also got such a great flavor of the culture, people, and way of life in both countries. It truly was incredible from start to finish.
