Legendary Plains & Hidden Insight: Two-Week Zimbabwe and Tanzania Safari

What to expect on this itinerary
The African safari experience is different from every angle. From the famous Serengeti plains of migrating wildebeest to unvisited Hwange packed with predators, and from iconic Ngorongoro Crater to walking with rhinos in Matusadona, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe effortlessly complement one another. The mammoth silhouette of Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro is matched only by Victoria Falls’ behemoth roar in Zimbabwe. And while one location uses game drives to explore justifiably famous safari destinations, the other delivers safari surprises off the beaten track destinations and new activities throughout.

Kilimanjaro – Arrival Beneath the Famous Snow-Capped Cone
Mount Kilimanjaro provides a dramatic introduction to Africa, the world’s highest free-standing mountain glowing in the late-afternoon light. Orange hues bounce off its snowy summit, woodland can be seen gracing the steep slopes, and it’s easy to feel humbled by the enormity of nature. You’re greeted at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to a boutique lodge on the mountain’s lower slopes. Bushbabies call out in the lodge’s garden, just the start of the wild soundtrack you can enjoy over these two weeks. The trip was fabulous. It matched the dream we had for our first trip to Africa: the animals, scenery, and people. Zicasso’s travel company was outstanding. They provided wonderful recommendations that matched our wishes and extraordinary attention to detail, so everything went without a hitch.

It was a great experience! Every single detail of the trip was planned and organized. As a mom of four, being able to just show up and be taken care of was amazing. The trip was set up based on our family and gave us the perfect experience; way more than I could have imagined.

We loved everything about the trip! It was definitely a five-star experience! Zicasso’s travel specialist was wonderful. We had to cancel the original trip due to my health, but she was able to work with the travel companies, so we lost less money than we might have. She is very responsive and patient with questions. Her team was able to track down my visa to Tanzania when the other three had already received theirs!

This review is long overdue, but better late than never! Zicasso’s travel agent helped us plan our South African adventure and it was the perfect vacation. Everything went completely flawlessly and all the accommodations were fantastic. The communication and service she provided were excellent and I just wish she was the person who could plan all of our vacations. We did Cape Town, Kruger, Zimbabwe, and Botswana, and it was the ultimate bucket-list trip. Her plan made it the best vacation ever!!!
