Greece Tour Review: Athens, Chania, Crete, Corfu, Hydra, Santorini, Meteora, Religious Experiences, History, Archaeology, Food Tour, Horseback Riding, Local Cuisine, Caves, 3 Weeks

Words cannot do justice to the memories we have and the sites we visited, the experiences we shared and the people we interacted with. We had the most wonderful time, with no stress. Everything was taken care of.

Zicasso’s travel agent and her company, in one phone call, listened, heard, inquired, and knew exactly what I wanted in this trip. The sites and experiences, the hotels and free days absolutely fulfilled, actually exceeded, anything we could have dreamed of for any trip – boutique hotels in Chania, Crete, and Corfu were exceptional in every way. They were located in the most perfect places, with the most delicious breakfasts daily and management and staff who were at your service anytime. The beautiful rooms were comfortable, spacious, and with beautiful decor.

Greece Tour Review: Athens, Peloponnese, Santorini, Messinia, Voidokilia, Pylos, Methoni, Monemvasia, Nafplio, Mystras Castle, Polylimnio Waterfalls, Elafonisos, Olive Oil Tasting, Hiking, 10 Nights

We had a wonderful and memorable trip to Greece, thanks to the Zicasso travel specialist’s excellent planning. In addition to exploring Athens, she designed a seamless road trip across the Peloponnese Peninsula that took us to beautiful beaches and ancient castles in Messinia, Voidokilia, Pylos, Methoni, Monemvasia, and Nafplio. She also provided clear directions and recommended great stops to break up our drives, including Mystras Castle and the beautiful Polylimnio Waterfalls.

Our hotel accommodations were excellent throughout the trip and we really enjoyed our stay in beautiful Santorini. We also appreciated her restaurant recommendations, which saved us from having to search for places to eat and always led us to great food. She stayed in touch via WhatsApp the entire time, checking in on us and answering our questions whenever they came up. There is so much to see in Greece that we’ll definitely need to go back for another visit.

Greece Tour Review: Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, History, Culture, Tradition, Local Cuisine, Shopping, 8 Nights

If you're considering a trip to Greece, look no further than Zicasso. Our travel expert planned an unforgettable journey for our family; Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini, and every detail was executed with care, expertise, and passion.

From the moment we arrived in Athens, we were immersed in the country’s warm hospitality. Our agent made sure we had the perfect balance of sightseeing and relaxation. The historical sites in Athens, like the Acropolis and the ancient Agora, were must-sees.

Mykonos is vibrant yet relaxed. The beaches were beautiful. Every meal on this trip was a highlight. Fresh seafood, local cheeses, olive oil, and delicious pastries—each bite told a story of Greece’s deep culinary heritage.

In Santorini, we were captivated by the island’s charm—whitewashed buildings, breathtaking sunsets, and the deep blue Aegean Sea. We visited traditional villages, giving us a glimpse into the rich cultural traditions that are still very much alive.

Throughout the trip, what stood out most—beyond the stunning landscapes and ancient history—was the friendliness of the Greek people. Their warmth and pride in their culture made every moment feel welcoming and genuine.

Our agent didn’t just plan a vacation—he created an experience rooted in history, tradition, and hospitality. I can’t recommend him and Zicasso highly enough.

Greece Travel Review: Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, Chania, Kissamos, Acropolis, Cooking Class, 12 Days

Flawless, curated excellence from start to finish.

From our very first phone call, this Zicasso travel company completely understood our travel style and exactly what we wanted out of our two-week trip to Greece. Rather than just relying on text or email, that initial personal conversation set the tone for a truly bespoke experience. The team was extremely responsive and meticulously on top of every single detail before we left, during our travels, and all the way through until we landed safely back home. We felt perfectly pampered and individually catered to every step of the way.

The itinerary they curated struck the absolute perfect balance. We enjoyed privately guided tours, rich history, and exceptional food and wine, while still having plenty of free time to explore on our own. The accommodations were very good and I highly suggest taking the travel company's recommended hotel upgrade options. They have impeccable taste and truly understand what a premium boutique hotel should deliver.

Logistics and transitions in Greece can be inherently tough, but the team went above and beyond to make every transfer as smooth as possible, leaving us feeling completely taken care of. While they curated multiple amazing selections for us, the absolute highlight of our trip was a traditional village visit and cooking class in Kissamos. It was such an authentic, fun, and unique experience that allowed us to connect with a lovely Cretan family and see the real heart of the island.

I cannot recommend this travel company enough for anyone with high standards, little time to arrange things on their own, and a desire to have every detail handled with the utmost professionalism.

Greece Trip Review: 12 Nights

Zicasso's travel company planned our family trip (four adults, one teen) to Greece. Our travel specialist listened to us and each person's interests, and helped select the locations and islands that fit our group. It was an amazing trip. Beyond our expectations and hopes. Everyone loved their time. The accommodations selected were unique and perfect for us. The travel company's local team was responsive throughout the entire trip with recommendations or to answer questions.

I (51F) stayed a few days beyond the rest of the family for some solo time. Our travel specialist and the travel company planned a relaxing and entertaining time in locations that were absolutely perfect for a solo female traveler. On one of my free days, I messaged for suggestions for a day at the beach and the recommendations were quick and perfect to fit any mood I may have been in. Again, the accommodations were unique and beautiful, and I felt safe, welcome, and comfortable the entire time.

I can't thank them enough for the memories of a lifetime. We will use them again! And I will always recommend them to anyone traveling to Greece or Europe.

Italy, Greece Family Vacation Review: Venice, Athens, Dolomites, Ortisei, Greek Islands, Acropolis, St. Mark’s Basilica, Gondola Ride, 16 Nights

First, Zicasso’s travel specialist was so very helpful. From the beginning stages of planning and understanding our needs for six adults, from transfers to private tours, hotel stays, etc., she was always easy to reach and effectively communicated with me on any issues or questions I had. I will definitely use this travel company again.

A couple of things I'd like to share. The gondola ride in Venice was great. However, boarding near the large body of water didn't feel very intimate. Lots of people. I do understand that's because our tour ended there, near St. Mark's, which, by the way, was fantastic. Our guide was so knowledgeable and informative. Maybe if there was a place to get on that's on a smaller canal. Venice was great fun.

Although our hotel in Athens was nice and convenient, the area was not only very busy and very loud at night, it seemed sketchy/dirty. Maybe that's not the appropriate term, as I had never been to Athens before. I learned quickly that the graffiti was considered art and nobody seemed overly bothered by it. I guess in the US, most of our large cities, where there is low-income housing, have lots of graffiti. We also get arrested for vandalizing other people's property. I think if we were in another area, it wouldn't have been so bad. Again, not knowing Athens, perhaps that's all normal. I know it's a big city.

Our guide was very, very slow in terms of her ability to "walk and talk." She walked so slow, it was hard for all of us to slow down that much. She too was very informative. The Acropolis was packed, even at 9am, so great idea having us get picked up at 8am!!

Our transfer to and from Lavrio Port: the driver who dropped us off was taking us to the port. I did not have clear information that we needed to be around the corner at Olympic Marina, where the smaller catamarans take off. I was able to contact family that was already there to tell us where to go. On the transfer pick-up, the driver was late and again did not know to go to the marina area. He went to the port, where the large boats and ships are located. No biggie, but for future reference, the smaller boats and tours are at the marina.

I think our favorite was the Dolomites! We all love the outdoors, the cool air, the mountains. But the week-long guided tour through the Greek islands was absolutely spectacular. The water was incredibly crystal clear and the most gorgeous blue I'd ever seen. We will be back to Greece in the future to explore more.

Thanks again for all your hard work, efforts, and being easy to reach.
