Your trip will begin in Athens, which is also known as the cradle of Western civilization. Tidbits of philosophy and mythology will fill your mind as you enter the legendary Acropolis and traverse the same steps as Socrates and Plato. Your guide will also engagingly detail the subtle distinctions in architecture and artists as you arrive at the enduring Beule Gate, explore the elegant Temple of Nike Athena, and ascend to the infamous Parthenon. In the afternoon, you will embark on an evening trip to the striking Temple of Poseidon, where you will have the opportunity to unearth this remarkable temple and watch a world-famous Athenian sunset.
The following day, you will depart for the lovely island of Santorini on a private aircraft. We stayed on the island of Naxos. The hotel was very nice. The excursions our specialist booked for us (a food tour of the island and an all-day boat tour) were just right. We went to Greece and Italy, and all of the hotels, transports, and adventures were as good or better than we imagined.
