Paris – Arrive in Paris with a Sunset Cruise along the Seine River
Paris is a riot of color and culture changing between neighborhoods from the calm Bohemian ambiance of Montmartre to lush foliage of Tuileries Gardens and clamoring thrills of the Latin Quarter. The family arrives at Charles de Gaulle Airport where your private transfer greets you. You find the aroma of chocolate, pastries, and coffee emanating from the quiet cafes before fading beneath the scent of delicious roasted chicken coated with rosemary. Relax in the comforts of your luxurious accommodations before stepping down onto the banks of the Seine River for a fantastic introduction to Paris in the form of a River Cruise.
As the sunlight fades over the city, you understand how Paris became known as the City of Lights. From the elegant windows in the boat, you can view the Eiffel Tower soaring above Champs de Mars. The iconic structure of Paris was completed in 1889 as the gateway into the World’s Fair. The bells of Notre-Dame de Paris clang in the towers. The kids are fascinated by the gargoyles added to the structure in the 13th century. The decorative elements also had a function, producing streams of water during the rains instead of allowing the water to fall off the edges of the roof like torrents.

The itinerary is not the best for the price we paid and for a family with two children. We thought we could come back to Greece, but after this trip, we might not come back or even use Zicasso again. Here are the reasons: 1. The hotels are subpar for the price we paid for this tour. Our hotel in Athens felt like a 2-star. Our hotel in Santorini has a great view, but it's just a view, no pool, etc. nearby. Our hotel in Crete is not near a beach, a 20-minute walk. 2. Too much time was wasted on travel from one location to the next (Santorini to Crete and Crete to Athens). 3. Four nights in Santorini with two children is overkill since there is not much to do other than take photos, hike, and that's basically it. 4. Some of the tours are okay but nothing special, i.e., the hiking tour in Crete where they call the "little forest" is merely just for the name. It has nothing to do with the tour guides. All tour guides are great. However, we feel the tour company is crafting ordinary tours, labels it special, and calls it private. 5. In Delphi, we could have had more time to look around after the two hours. If any of the tours were great, it was the tours we had in Athens and Delphi. If we had known this type of tour we received, we could have done an all-inclusive resort in Greece and done our own without having to go through Zicasso and the tour company.

Our trip was a family one, two grandparents over 70, two parents and one adult son, one teenage girl, and one younger girl, 12. Three of us had been to Italy while the others had not. We wanted as complete a trip as we could in 14 days, so we included all the traditional places, Venice, Florence, Rome, and Naples/Pompeii. We spent three days in each and one day in Ferrara. While it was a lot for 14 days, we did not feel rushed.
What I like about Zicasso is they give you options to pick the best fit for your trip—we worked with two other agencies before we picked Zicasso’s travel partner. This travel partner took the time to understand our needs: three hotel rooms, all different in sizes, and tours and timing. Very important was the degree of coordination before the trip with the travel agent; she was available and knowledgeable, and took the time to adjust our needs. One of the best things about this travel partner was they used a van for all the travel, except from Rome to Naples. This was a much better option than the train for seven people and baggage.
During the trip, we were met on time by every driver and every guide. The hotels were excellent and the whole trip went well. When we had a delay on the train, the driver knew it and adjusted our pick-up.

We've taken many family vacations over the years, but we all agreed this was the best one yet!
The team at Zicasso’s travel company did an exceptional job tailoring the perfect trip for our family. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, making the entire experience seamless and truly enjoyable from start to finish.
We had wonderful drives and knowledgeable, engaging tour guides who made each destination come to life. Some of our favorite highlights include a hands-on cooking class in Florence, exploring the beautiful Tuscan countryside, and having effortless access to iconic sites like the Vatican and the Colosseum.
The experiences were unforgettable, from the best food tour in Rome to a fun and unique golf-cart tour through the city. We also loved visiting a Parmigiano-Reggiano factory and a Parma ham producer, along with an extra-special stop at the Ferrari Museum that was such a memorable surprise.
Every moment felt thoughtfully curated and we came home with incredible memories that we will cherish for years to come. We highly recommend the travel company to anyone looking for a truly personalized and exceptional travel experience.

We had a fantastic time! This was a family vacation meant to celebrate some wonderful milestones and it was the perfect way to do just that. Every detail of the trip, as planned, was spot on. The hotels, their locations, tours, restaurant and beach recommendations all suited us and our style well. Our only disappointment was having to leave. 'Til next time. We'll absolutely be in touch with Zicasso's travel specialist again.

We had an excellent experience with Zicasso's travel company. We are a family of four and spent 18 nights going through Italy and France. We worked with the company to make arrangements to see the cities and sites we wanted to visit. They offered great options for hotels and activities. They stayed in close contact with us during the trip and made additional arrangements upon request. The company provided outstanding service making arrangements and during the trip. We were very satisified and have already recommended them to our friends.
