London is the capital of Britain and once the center of the entire British Empire. The magnificent ambiance of the city continues to inspire visitors from around the world. Germany, England, France, Netherlands Tour Review: London, Paris, Amsterdam, 18 Nights

The communication during the trip was excellent and all of the drivers and guides arrived on time. We loved the London hotel and the Paris hotel; both excellent. The Amsterdam stop was a different story. If we were going to do this trip again, we would not return to Amsterdam, except for maybe a day trip. This environment was not family friendly and the hotel (although the staff were very nice and the breakfasts were excellent) was not a good fit for us. Overall, a really fun trip. Thank you!

England, France Trip Review: London, Paris, Giverny, Walking Tour, 1-Week Vacation

London and Paris did not disappoint. We had a wonderful time and the arrangements made by the Zicasso travel agency were great. We packed a lot into the seven days we had there. The London day tour was wonderful! The guide was so great!!!! Paris was great too and we had awesome weather for the entire trip. The travel agent was extremely helpful and so kind and cheerful. Our favorite in London was the walking tour with our guide. Our favorite in France was Giverny.

The Netherlands Travel Review: Amsterdam, Anne Frank House, Royal Palace, Rembrandt House, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Food Tour, History, 7-Night Trip

Our guides were great, which is why I gave the trip 4 stars. The travel company, due to last-minute changes, brought its ratings down as it earned only 3 stars.

Having used Zicasso-recommended travel agencies to plan individualized itineraries, we have come to expect excellence in service. We anticipate that the travel agency is intimately familiar with our destinations, as well as our needs and interests. We planned our trip several months in advance.

Unfortunately, just before our departure, we were told of significant changes, with one of the most important destinations (Anne Frank House) supposedly being unavailable, and we would only be able to look at the house from the outside! I cannot begin to express the worry, stress, and frustration this caused. They did manage to reconfigure some of the itinerary to fit in this visit, but we were never given an adequate explanation for what happened.

Then, while on the trip, we were advised that another one of our destinations was unavailable. If the travel company is qualified to arrange tours in Amsterdam, again, how could they not know the available schedule for the Royal Palace?

Additionally, we asked about restaurant recommendations and whether reservations would be required since it was the busy season; what we received in response was a preprinted stock list of a couple of locations and suggested museums/locations of interest.

One thing we have learned from this experience is to require that any agency with which we deal in the future must be physically located in the city/country of our destination.

On the plus side, as I said, the individual guides were great. Transportation was excellent, and having someone meet us at the airport upon arrival and help us through entry into the country with ease was superb. In the end, we did have a great time, but the stress was really difficult to deal with.

Netherlands Travel Review: Amsterdam, Keukenhof Gardens, Kinderdijk, De Haar Castle, Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum, Canal Boat Ride, 4 Nights

Zicasso’s travel specialist was a pleasure to work with. He helped me plan a whirlwind tour of Amsterdam that included Keukenhof Gardens, Amsterdam, Kinderdijk, and De Haar Castle. He even managed to get us tickets to the Anne Frank House on short notice.

We had a private driver for the two day trips from Amsterdam, traveling in a very comfortable van. Our hotel in Amsterdam was lovely and conveniently located near several wonderful restaurants. We also visited the Van Gogh Museum and enjoyed a canal boat tour.

Overall, it was a perfectly planned three-day trip. There was one small issue with our driver, but although we had already resolved it ourselves, the travel specialist personally called to follow up and apologize, which we really appreciated.

I would definitely use this travel company again and would especially recommend this travel specialist.

Zicasso’s travel company was great. Some of the purchased tours by the other tour operator in Paris were not very good. The third tour company was great.
